Matt's wide receiver (WR) fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 10 of 2025. His WR lineups advice for Week 10 fantasy football start/sit decisions.
Depending on when you read this article, the NFL trade deadline was moments away or had already passed. I either tweaked, edited, or completely blew up this week's edition and wrote it from scratch multiple times.
While I'm not sure of what moves NFL teams have up their sleeves, what I do know is that fantasy managers are looking to plug some holes in their lineups with the losses of Ja'Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens, Xavier Worthy, Rashee Rice, and possibly even Chimere Dike. Here are the RotoBaller's Week 10 starts and sits at the wide receiver position.

Week 10 Starts - Fantasy Football Booms
Ladd McConkey - WR, Los Angeles Chargers vs Pittsburgh Steelers
After a somewhat tremulous start to his season, Ladd McConkey has rebounded nicely in recent weeks, averaging 16.8 fantasy points per game over his last five outings, recording 350 receiving yards (eighth-most), 31 receptions (fourth-most), on 46 targets (second-most), averaging 9.2 targets per game (sixth-most).
Since Week 5, McConkey has earned a 25.6 target share and a first-read target share of 25.2%, accounting for 31.8% of the Chargers' air yards. McConkey is once again in a prime position to reward fantasy managers who stuck with him through his early-season woes.
While McConkey has been heating up since Week 5, the Pittsburgh Steelers' secondary has been heading in the opposite direction, conceding 857 receiving yards on 72 receptions and a league-high 45.7 fantasy points per game to the wide receiver position.

Last week, Pittsburgh had no answer for Michael Pittman Jr., who collected nine receptions and 115 receiving yards on 12 targets, a touchdown reception, and 20.5 fantasy points (WR8). With the way that the Steelers' defense and McConkey's usage have been trending, there is no reason not to believe that McConkey can't replicate Pittman's Week 9 success against Pittsburgh this week.
Davante Adams - WR, Los Angeles Rams at San Francisco 49ers
Sticking with the theme of a trending downward defense and a wide receiver on the rise, let's talk about Davante Adams's matchup this week against the San Francisco 49ers. In early October, Adams last faced the 49ers, and in that contest, Adams would finish with five receptions, 88 receiving yards, and 13.8 fantasy points.

In the three contests to follow, Adams has caught 14 passes, been targeted 24 times, and scored five touchdowns over the last two weeks. Since Week 5, Adams has averaged 8.8 targets per game, a target share of 25.4%, an air yard share of 34.3%, 38.1% team touchdown share, and a first-read target share of 31.45. There is plenty of volume in this Rams offense, even with Puka Nacua dominating the headlines, averaging 101.6 receiving yards per game.
As for the 49ers, any volume against this defense will lend itself to a productive afternoon. In the last five contests, only the Steelers and the Chicago Bears have allowed more fantasy production to the wide receiver position on a per-game basis than the 40.8 fantasy points per game that the 49ers have allowed. Over those five contests, the 49ers' secondary has been bled for 950 receiving yards (most), on 73 receptions (most), and six touchdown receptions (third-most).
Wan'Dale Robinson - WR, New York Giants at Chicago Bears
You've already seen the Chicago Bears mentioned a couple of times, so it's only fitting that a wide receiver facing the team make it on this week's RotoBaller must-start list.
Using the Bears' four-game sample from Week 5 on, their defense has yielded 42.0 fantasy points per game to opposing wideouts, the second-most. In those four contests, Chicago has allowed 731 receiving yards and seven touchdowns while also being one of four teams to concede 10 or more yards per target (10.01).
It's about time people start putting some respect on Wan'Dale Robinson's name. After finishing the 2024 season as the WR37 in PPR formats, the Giants' slot receiver currently occupies the WR18 spot, averaging 12.6 fantasy points per game. Robinson's 540 receiving yards have him 17th in the NFL, while his 37 receptions are the 10th-most, pacing Robinson to finish the season with 1000 receiving yards after finishing with 699 yards on 93 receptions a season ago.
Robinson has been a weekly WR3 with WR2 upside for fantasy, topping 20 fantasy points on several occasions. This season, Robinson has been a more reliable and consistent option at wide receiver than Marvin Harrison Jr., Stefon Diggs, A.J. Brown, DJ Moore, and Jameson Williams, to name a few receivers selected ahead of him in fantasy drafts back in August. Last week, Robinson again topped 13 fantasy points, catching nine balls for 46 yards in a game against the 49ers.
Week 10 Sits - Potential Fantasy Football Busts
Brian Thomas Jr. - WR, Jacksonville Jaguars at Houston Texans
One of the core rules in fantasy football this season is to sit any receiver when they go up against Derek Stingley Jr., Jalen Pitre, Kamari Lassiter, and the rest of the Houston Texans secondary. No team has surrendered fewer total yards of offense (267.4) or total points per game (15.1) than the Houston Texans.
Among that futility of yardage, the Texans rank fourth in passing yards allowed, allowing 177.5 passing yards per game, fourth in interceptions this season with nine, and fourth in takeaways with 13. Since Week 5, Houston has allowed just 470 yards receiving, 35 receptions, and 23.9 (second-fewest) fantasy points per game spanning four contests.
Houston has faced Brian Thomas Jr. once this season, holding him to three receptions, 55 receiving yards, and 8.8 fantasy points on six targets. Thomas enters the rematch against the Texans as the WR43 in fantasy, averaging 10.7 fantasy points per game thus far. Considering the matchup and the lack of production this season, fantasy managers should consider pivoting to Khalil Shakir, Troy Franklin, or Rashid Shaheed for the foreseeable future.
To further complicate things, Thomas appeared to have suffered an ankle sprain late in the fourth quarter in that victory against the Raiders. It may not be much of a deal, but considering Thomas already has a rather lengthy injury history, it could play a factor this week and in the coming weeks. Regardless, it is something fantasy managers need to be aware of.

Jerry Jeudy - WR, Cleveland Browns at New York Jets
Jerry Jeudy must be off your roster and firmly cemented on the waiver wire. Since Week 3, Jeudy has been the WR100 in fantasy, averaging 4.5 fantasy points per game. Tyler Johnson, Greg Dortch, and Chris Moore have been more viable options than Jeudy. Jeudy's all from fantasy grace needs to be studied a season after finishing as the WR24 in fantasy points per game with 14.2.
If Jeudy's lack of production wasn't enough to convince you, the matchup against the Jets should do the trick. Since Week 6, New York has allowed 356 yards receiving with a pair of touchdowns to the wide receiver position. The 27.1 fantasy points per game are the seventh-fewest when you add that up.
With the trade deadline set for November 4th, a new beginning elsewhere could rejuvenate Jeudy's fantasy outlook. However, clearly, that value is stunted in Cleveland. At 26 years of age with a $1.5M base salary, they could be a wide receiver-needy team willing to take a chance, perhaps a former team like Denver or a Bills and Steelers team desperate for another option in the passing game.
Rome Odunze - WR, Chicago Bears vs New York Giants
Rome Odunze's inclusion on this list is like a nasty red wine stain on a white carpet. On one hand, the New York Giants have been one of the friendliest fantasy defenses for opposing quarterbacks, and the 31.2 fantasy points per game they have allowed opposing receivers since Week 6 is the 14th-most. This is definitely a matchup that a talented Odinze could exploit.
Not so fast, my friends. Pull up fantasy points per game since Week 5. Okay, now scroll down, keep scrolling. Have you found Xavier Legette and Olamide Zaccheaus? Keep scrolling; you are almost there. After Maki Washington and Robbie Chosen (yes, he is still in the league), you will find Odunzeat WR68 averaging 7.2 fantasy points per game, freshly coming off a zero-point Week 9 performance. Jaylin Noel had -0.3 fantasy points last week and is still averaging 8.1 per game over the same period.
At some point, we have to fade players until they get themselves right. Right now, Odunze isn't right. Chicago is having success running the ball, and Colston Loveland emerged as a better option for Caleb Williams in the pass game last week. Odunze was so bad last week; not only did he have zero receptions, but he also dropped that pass in the end zone. Williams literally went out and caught two passes for 22 yards and a touchdown as a " let me show you how to do it" moment towards Odunze. Better weeks are ahead for Odunze, but until they arrive, you must sit Odunze.
