Tyjae Spears Relies on Receiving Production in Week 9
Tennessee Titans running back Tyjae Spears had seven carries for 26 yards in Sunday's 27-20 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. Spears also had three catches for 36 yards on three targets. The 24-year-old was able to squeak out 9.2 fantasy points, making it the fourth straight game of over seven fantasy points. Spears was on the wrong side of a split backfield, being out-touched by Tony Pollard 11 to 10. The two backs continue to split touches as both fail to score over 10 fantasy points Sunday. Spears will need to stay involved and efficient in the passing game to remain fantasy relevant. Over 50 percent of Spears' fantasy points have come from his receiving production since his return, 13 catches for 96 receiving yards on 14 targets. The Titans are heading into a much-needed bye week, and changes could be on the way for a stagnant offense. Spears will remain a mid-tier RB3 flex option heading into Week 11 against a tough Texans defense.
