EPL DFS Goalies

Jordan Pickford - DK $4.2K || FD $8

Opponent - vs. Manchester City

There are a few options for the goalkeeper position for Saturday’s match. However, Jordan Pickford of Everton FC looks to be the most optimal and holds the most potential value.

The last meeting between these two clubs in December ended in a 1-1 draw, and Pickford produced nine DraftKings points. In Pickford’s last five domestic starts, he has made 18 saves, conceded four goals, and recorded one clean sheet.

 Everton FC, from a metric standpoint, looks far from ideal in their last five domestic matches, despite their strong turn in defensive form. Manchester City is currently producing 0.27 fewer Goals Per 90 and 1.90 fewer Shots Per 90 in their last five domestic fixtures.

Furthermore, Everton FC is conceding 0.35 fewer Goals Against Per 90 and 0.32 fewer Shots Against Per 90. Without Erling Haaland, Manchester City’s offense is struggling, and it is not a secret. If Pickford can lock in early, his chances of reaching value are strong.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

  • Mark Flekken (DK $5K || FD $10) vs. Brighton & Hove Albion
  • Dean Henderson (DK $4.9K || FD $11) vs. AFC Bournemouth

EPL DFS Forwards

Jarrod Bowen - DK $9K || FD $22

Opponent - vs. Southampton

Jarrod Bowen will be one of the highest-owned forward-eligible players on the slate if he isn’t the highest-owned. The midfield/winger hybrid has produced one goal, one assist, 15 shots, four chances created, nine crosses, four tackles, three interceptions, and three clearances in his last five domestic fixtures. Bowen may have lost his role on set pieces, but that has not stopped him from creating value.

At the other end of the pitch, Southampton has conceded 0.26 more Goals Per 90 in their last five domestic matches and has conceded 1.22 fewer Shots Per 90. This is evident in their uptick in defensive form.

They are no longer the worst club across the board in their last five domestic matches. Despite all of this, they are still the top club to target when looking for goals. Bowen is expected to have a field day in this home matchup.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

  • Savinho (DK $8.6K || FD $18) at Everton FC
  • Jack Harrison (DK $7K || FD $11) vs. Manchester City

EPL DFS Midfielders

Mohammed Kudus - DK $5.7K || FD $15

Opponent - vs. Southampton

Mohammed Kudus will not generate as much value on DraftKings as he will on FanDuel, thanks to FanDuel’s Chances Created metric. Nevertheless, his value can still be reached on either platform.

Kudus is under $6K on DraftKings and is playing as an attacking-midfielder for the Hammers in a prime matchup. Over his last five domestic outings, Kudus has one assist, eight shots, five chances created, 15 crosses, four tackles, and two clearances.

As mentioned above, Southampton is picking up form defensively but still remains a bottom-three club. At Kudus’s salary, he is projected to reach value quickly.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

  • Eberechi Eze (DK $9.4K || FD $19) vs. AFC Bournemouth
  • Bryan Mbeumo (DK $8.8K || FD $21) vs. Brighton & Hove Albion

EPL DFS Defenders

Ollie Scarles - DK $3.7K || FD $8

Opponent - vs. Southampton

The final player and final West Ham piece to their large puzzle is defender Ollie Scarles. The youngster has produced one shot, one chance created, seven crosses, seven tackles, two interceptions, and 13 clearances within his most recent five domestic starts. Despite Scarles typically playing a wingback role, he does not generate as many offensive metrics. This limits his ability to reach his ceiling.

Although he struggles offensively, his defensive game is strong, giving him the ability to at least reach value. Considering his matchup at home and his salary on the slate, Scarles will have every opportunity to have his first ceiling performance of the season.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

  • Daniel Muñoz (DK $6.6K || FD $15) vs. AFC Bournemouth
  • Abdukodir Khusanov (DK $3K || FD $9) at Everton FC

Corner Takers

  • Brentford: Bryan Mbeumo
  • Brighton & Hove Albion: Joao Pedro/Yasin Ayari
  • Crystal Palace: Eberechi Eze
  • AFC Bournemouth: Milos Kerkez/Lewis Cook
  • Everton FC: Jack Harrison
  • Manchester City: Savinho/Doku/Gündoğan
  • West Ham United: James Ward-Prowse
  • Southampton: Fernandes

Thanks for reading The Kick-Off. Good luck in all of your contests today!
