NHL DFS Analysis And Picks For 4/29/25

Today, we have a four-game slate, and possibly our first series clincher. Tonight’s slate offers value across the board, allowing for creativity when building lineups.

 I will do my best to guide you through this four-game slate on DraftKings and FanDuel starting at 7:00 p.m. EST.

DISCLOSURE: Make sure to monitor the NHL news feeds for the latest player status and injury news. This becomes more important with players sitting for rest ahead of the playoffs!

NHL Stanley Cup Playoff Series Records:

  • Ottawa Senators at Toronto Maple Leafs - Toronto Leads 3-1
  • New Jersey Devils at Carolina Hurricanes - Carolina Leads 3-1
  • Minnesota Wild at Vegas Golden Knights - Series Is Tied 2-2
  • Edmonton Oilers at Los Angeles Kings - Series Is Tied 2-2

DraftKings And FanDuel Goalies - NHL DFS Picks

Calvin Pickard - DK $7.6K || FD $7.5K

Opponent - at Los Angeles Kings

Despite Edmonton’s poor defense, Calvin Pickard has been a revelation in the net. The netminder has a 2-0-0 record with a 3.29 Goals Against Average, and a 0.889 Save Percentage since taking over starting duties for teammate Stuart Skinner. Pickard is also coming off arguably his best performance of the season, stopping 38 saves to help even the series.

Since Game Two, Edmonton has made numerous changes to its lineup, making this matchup hard to predict. This meeting is expected to have the lowest scoring on the slate.

Others To Consider (Cash/GPP):

  • Pyotr Kochetkov (DK $8.4K || FD $8K) vs. New Jersey Devils
  • Anthony Stolarz (DK $8K || FD $7.9K) vs. Ottawa Senators

DraftKings And FanDuel Centers - NHL DFS Picks

John Tavares - DK $6.1K || FD $7.6K

Opponent - vs. Ottawa Senators

John Tavares is producing above a point-per-game pace with three goals, two assists, 13 shots, and five blocked shots in his last five outings. He and the Maple Leafs will travel home hoping to wrap up the first round tonight. In the first two matchups, the second line of the Toronto Maple Leafs quietly carried their offense. That is expected tonight once again.

Priced at only $6.1K on DraftKings, Tavares becomes one of the top value plays of the slate with a high potential ceiling. Considering that the expected starter, Linus Ullmark, conceded at least three goals against each game, it is safe to assume that this will happen again tonight. Will John Tavares be a part of the crew that reaches the score sheet?

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

  • Connor McDavid (DK $9K || FD $8.8K) at Los Angeles Kings
  • Tomas Hertl (DK $5.6K || FD $7K) vs. Minnesota Wild

DraftKings And FanDuel Wings - NHL DFS Picks

William Nylander - DK $6.6K || FD $7.2K

Opponent - vs. Ottawa Senators

William Nylander has now registered at least one point in each game of the Ottawa series. He has produced one goal, five assists, 12 shots, and three blocked shots in the four games. Despite both he and his linemate Tavares shooting the puck, neither has hindered the other’s production.

In Game Two, the second line produced an average of 0.40 Expected Goals Per 60. With the chance to clinch the first round tonight, expect Nylander and company to have another big night.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

  • Jesper Bratt (DK $6.1K || FD $6.8K) at Carolina Hurricanes
  • Warren Foegele (DK $4.9K || FD $5.7K) vs. Edmonton Oilers

DraftKings And FanDuel Defensemen - NHL DFS Picks

Alex Pietrangelo - DK $4.8K || FD $5.5K

Opponent - vs. Minnesota Wild

Alex Pietrangelo has yet to take a night off. In the four games of the Minnesota series, he has accumulated one goal, two assists, seven shots, and 12 blocked shots. Shockingly, his salary has yet to reach or exceed $5K on DraftKings.

This series is getting heated, and he is being used in all situations. Looking at his first four appearances in this series, it is safe to say Pietrangelo is expected to reach value again.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

  • Brock Faber (DK $4.1K || FD $5.1K) at Vegas Golden Knights
  • Brett Pesce (DK $3.7K || FD $4.6K) at Carolina Hurricanes
