Tyler Boyd 2019 Player Outlook: Reliable WR2 In Improved Offense
5 years agoTyler Boyd is being drafted in the eighth and ninth rounds, making him a great value. Boyd finished as WR15 last season and only played 14 games. He’s only going to know the offense more and be better acquainted with Andy Dalton. Many have his projections coming down because of a shaky offensive line and TD regression, but I’d argue Boyd may benefit with some quick action routes. He’s a great slant receiver and with linebacker help often leaning towards A.J. Green, the middle will be open for Boyd. Don’t draft him with the expectation of a huge season, however. He’s still the third option in this offense when fully healthy behind Green and Mixon. He’s a solid WR3 to start the season and a guy you won’t hate to use as a WR2 in most weeks. If he slips into the ninth round, don’t hesitate to pick him up.
