NASCAR DFS Picks (Xfinity Series): DraftKings Lineup Plays for the Kansas Lottery 300 at Kansas (2025)

NASCAR XFINITY SERIES STOCK DFS PICKS

Dave's NASCAR DFS Picks (Xfinity Series) for the Kansas Lottery 300 at Kansas (2025). Read his daily fantasy NASCAR advice and Xfinity DFS sleepers.

After an off week, the NASCAR Xfinity Series returns this weekend. Kansas Speedway is next on the docket, and this track is one of several 1.5-mile tracks the Xfinity Series has visited this year. The "cookie-cutter" tracks used to be featured more prominently on the series schedule. In recent years, though, the series has reduced the number of cookie-cutters, and performance on this style of race track is not as crucial as it once was. Nonetheless, it's still important to perform well on the 1.5-mile tracks, especially during the Xfinity Series playoffs.

Chicagoland Speedway is Kansas' true sister track. However, the series has not run at Chicagoland since 2019. Not to worry, though, as Las Vegas Motor Speedway, which the series has already visited this year, is also viewed as a sister track to Kansas. Texas and Charlotte are also good comparison points. The series has also visited each of these tracks in 2025, so we will use the previous results from all of these tracks to gauge what might happen this weekend.

Aric Almirola won the series' most recent race two weeks ago at Bristol. However, he is not in the field this weekend, so the door is wide open for someone else to emerge victorious. Will favorites Connor Zilisch and Justin Allgaier bring home another checkered flag for JR Motorsports? Or will someone else punch their ticket to the Round of 8? Let's break down some NASCAR Xfinity DFS lineup picks for the NASCAR Xfinity Series Kansas Lottery 300 at Kansas on DraftKings. Also, make sure to check out our NASCAR Premium Tools for the Xfinity Series, including our DFS Lineup Optimizer and powerful Research Station. This slate locks on 9/27/25 at 4:08 p.m. EDT.

Top NASCAR Xfinity Series DFS Plays

Connor Zilisch ($13K)

Starts 7th

Zilisch enters Kansas still riding a wave of momentum following a fifth-place finish at Bristol. That race marked his 15th consecutive top-five finish. He just continues to dominate the Xfinity Series in 2025.

Zilisch has one previous Xfinity Series start at Kansas, which came in this race last year. He qualified and finished fourth in that race, but he did not lead any laps.

The JR Motorsports star rookie also posted a runner-up finish at Charlotte back in May and finished ninth at Las Vegas. Zilisch wound up missing the series' race at Texas earlier this year due to a back injury suffered at Talladega. Cup Series regular Kyle Larson filled in for Zilisch at Texas, and the team showed plenty of speed as Larson would go on to win that race.

Zilisch has just been operating on a different level in the second half of the season and has shown consistent speed regardless of whatever track the Xfinity Series throws at him. Consider Zilisch a fantastic anchor option for DFS lineups this week.

Justin Allgaier ($12K)

Starts 5th

If you don’t want to play Zilisch, then his teammate, Justin Allgaier, is your next best bet. Allgaier has been extremely fast on the cookie-cutter tracks so far in 2025. He posted stage finishes of first and second and led 102 of 200 laps at Las Vegas en route to capturing the checkered flag.

Allgaier also finished fourth at Charlotte and led 103 laps in that race. He did post an unfortunate 35th-place finish at Texas. However, it’s worth noting that Allgaier led 99 laps, had stage finishes of first and second before an accident ended his day. Allgaier was also victorious at Homestead-Miami Speedway back in March. Homestead is not a sister track to Kansas, but it’s another example of Allgaier showing great speed at a 1.5-mile track.

Allgaier has not won at Kansas in the Xfinity Series. However, he does have four top fives, 10 top 10s, and an average finish of 12.2 in 15 career Kansas Xfinity Series starts.

With two races left in the Round of 12, Allgaier sits 53 points above the cutoff line. He is in great shape to advance to the Round of 8, but his team would love to score a victory here. Gamers can feel confident building their DFS lineups around the JR Motorsports veteran this weekend.

Austin Hill ($9.7K)

Starts 17th

Hill is still suffering from the consequences of his bone-headed decision to intentionally wreck Aric Almirola at Indianapolis. He was stripped of all playoff points following that incident, and this penalty has forced him to dig out of a hole created by his own doing.

The driver of the #21 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet currently sits in 11th place and is on the outside looking in for the Round of 8. With two races left in the Round of 12, Hill is 11 points behind Taylor Gray for eighth place in the standings.

Hill has not won at Kansas during his Xfinity Series career, but he does have two top fives, three top 10s, and an average finish of 7.3 in four career Kansas starts. He has also finished fourth, fourth, and seventh at Las Vegas, Texas, and Charlotte this year. Hill even finished fourth at Homestead, so he has been consistently fast at the 1.5-mile tracks in 2025. He also has a victory at Las Vegas in 2023 on his resume.

If you want to save some cash and fade Zilisch/Allgaier, then Hill is a good option. He’s been fast on the cookie cutters this year, and he is surely motivated to make up for his mistake at Indianapolis. After qualifying 17th, Hill becomes an even more appealing play since he is in play to accumulate key place differential points with a top 10 or even top-five finish.

Brandon Jones ($9.2K)

Starts 1st

Jones finished inside the top 10 at Las Vegas and Texas earlier this year. He started 15th and 21st in both of those races and was a great place differential play for DFS gamers.

Kansas has also been one of Jones’ best tracks. In 10 career Kansas Xfinity Series starts, Jones has two wins, four top fives, seven top 10s, and an average finish of 8.9

He’s a great play at this price and could be live for this third career Kansas victory. Jones unexpectedly won the pole for today's race. It is his first pole of the season. I am still willing to play Jones in DFS lineups since he has a great track record at Kansas and is now in an even better position to accrue dominator points.

NASCAR Xfinity Series DFS Fades

William Sawalich ($7.7K)

Starts 6th

Sawalich currently sits 17th in the Xfinity Series standings. He has just three top fives and eight top 10s so far this year. However, he did finish 13th at Texas after starting 35th and finished 15th at Charlotte, too.

I initially listed Sawalich as a potential target, but I am pivoting off of that stance since he qualified toward the front. Starting sixth, Sawalich does not offer much place differential upside, and he probably won't be fast enough to win the race or lead laps. Leave Sawalich in the garage this weekend.

Justin Bonsignore ($7.3K)

Starts 16th

Bonsignore will make his seventh start of the season this weekend. He has yet to post a top 10 finish this season, and his best result was a 12th-place finish at Iowa in August. Bonsignore also has an average finish of 24.3 compared to an average start of 16.8.

He has not shown consistent speed or been particularly good in any of his seven career Xfinity Series starts to date. Gamers should leave Bonsignore in the garage this weekend, as there are better options available at this price.

Mid-Tier NASCAR Xfinity Series DFS Options

Ryan Sieg ($8.1K)

Starts 15th

Sieg has been fast on the 1.5-mile tracks and has finished seventh and eighth at Las Vegas and Texas.

Initially, I listed Sieg as a fade until seeing where he qualified. However, since Sieg qualified 15th and showed good speed in Xfinity Series practice, he has now become a more appealing play. He is live for a top 10 finish.

Rajah Caruth ($7.9K)

Starts 8th

Caruth is driving the #17 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet this weekend. He has one top 10 and three top 15s in five career Truck Series Kansas starts. Caruth will be driving in top-tier equipment this weekend, and I like the idea of taking a shot on him here.

Christian Eckes ($7.6K)

Starts 20th

Eckes is coming off an eighth-place finish at Bristol two weeks ago. He finished 13th at Las Vegas and 11th at Charlotte earlier this year. He could be live for another top 10 finish this weekend.

Harrison Burton ($7.5K)

Starts 18th

Burton finished eighth at Las Vegas and sixth at Texas earlier this year. He also finished 11th at Homestead. Burton has shown decent speed on the 1.5-mile tracks this year, and he could have another quality outing this weekend.

Daniel Dye ($7.4K)

Starts 38th

Dye had top 15s at Las Vegas and Texas. He also finished ninth at Homestead after starting 30th. Starting shotgun on the field, Dye becomes a borderline must-start as he's live for a ton of place differential points if he can crack the top 15. He’s a great potential place differential target.

NASCAR Xfinity Series DFS Value Options

Kyle Sieg ($6.2K)

Starts 24th

Sieg finished 11th at Las Vegas back in March. He finished 20th in this race last year, and could be a good place differential target. Starting 24th does cap his upside a bit, but he could still be a solid play if he finishes inside the top-15.

Josh Williams ($5.9K)

Starts 36th

Williams has 14 top 20 finishes this season. He's a great place differential target to pair with some of the more expensive names on the slate.

Ryan Ellis ($5.3K)

Starts 34th

Ellis has eight top 20s this year and finished eighth at Charlotte back in May. He's another good, cheap place differential play.
