MLB DFS Picks Today: Daily Fantasy Baseball Strategy and Tips For FanDuel, DraftKings (6/6/25)

Tarik Skubal - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, Waiver Wire Pickups

Dan's top DraftKings and FanDuel MLB DFS picks for today, Friday, 6/6/25. His favorite daily fantasy baseball lineup sleepers and value picks for DFS on DraftKings and FanDuel.

Fridays make for some of the best MLB DFS slates, and tonight is no slouch either. We have 12 games on FanDuel and DraftKings tonight, and some fantastic options on the mound and at the plate for our DFS lineups.

There doesn't seem to be any serious weather threats tonight, which is a relief, and it feels like the first time we've had that in some time. The Reds and Diamondbacks may deal with some rain and storms but there aren't any other games that appear to be in jeopardy of a PPD or delay.

This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 6/6/2025, with the slate starting on both sites at 7:05 p.m. EDT. The lineup picks will showcase elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. Monitoring injury news and today's MLB starting lineups is always essential.

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Tarik Skubal, DET vs. CHC ($11.5K DK/$11K FD)

Is the Cubs' offense good enough to scare us off paying for the best pitcher on the slate? I don't think so. Chicago ranks just 19th in wRC+ against LHP over the last month and has seen their strikeout rate rise to 23%.

Skubal has been on another plane of existence over the last month and a half, and I expect him to keep pounding the zone and dominating hitters today as he has for much of the season. Paying this much for a pitcher on FanDuel limits the teams you can stack, but fitting Skubal on DraftKings isn't too hard if you pay down at SP2 and find some value bats.

Spencer Schwellenbach, ATL at SFG ($10K DK/$9.9K FD)

If Skubal wasn't on the slate, then Schwelly would be the top choice for me. He's looked Skubal-esque in his last two starts, whiffing 11 batters in each without giving up a single walk.

That's the type of stuff I expected to see from him this season when I picked him as my dark horse candidate to win the NL Cy Young award. I think he can keep it rolling tonight on the road against a Giants team that ranks just 22nd in wRC+ against RHP over the last month. He makes for a great pivot off Skubal for tournaments as he has a similar ceiling but will likely be more lightly rostered.

Colton Gordon, HOU at CLE ($6.5K DK/$7.4K FD)

I was excited to see that my fellow RotoBaller MLB DFS colleague Casey Wilson was on Gordon today, too. Casey is an MLB DFS guru and a former college pitcher who loves a good deep dive into stats just as much as I do. He pointed out to me this morning in our slate discussion that Gordon's underlying numbers are much better than his surface-level stats and that Cleveland has been rather lackluster against LHP lately.

The Guardians are just 26th in wRC+ against LHP over the last month and are striking out 25.5% of the time - OOF. The Houston rookie is in a position to break out today. He doesn't walk many batters and has been unlucky on batted balls. I think we can get five or six innings out of him and about a strikeout per inning with some solid run prevention. He's my favorite cheap SP2 for DK tonight.

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Ramon Urias, 1B/2B/3B (FD), 3B (DK) - BAL vs. JP Sears ($3K DK/$2.6K FD)

Not many middle infield utility players find themselves in the middle of the batting order very often, but Urias is set to hit there tonight for the Orioles against lefty JP Sears, who has been awful lately.

Urias has just two home runs this season, but he does have a little pop in his bat. Baltimore has successfully used him as a platoon player against lefties over the last five seasons. He's dirt cheap and eligible at three positions on FanDuel. If you want to use Skubal or Schwelly tonight, you'll need some value!

It's been a great ballpark for offense lately, and with two middling arms on the mound tonight, we should see a lot of offense in Sacramento again.

Jeremy Pena, SS - HOU vs. Logan Allen ($4.4K DK/$3.1K FD)

Pena is red hot right now and locked in at the plate. The Houston Astros have done a complete 180 on offense, going from one of the worst offenses in the first month of the season to one of the more productive units in baseball in May and June.

The Astros lead all teams in wRC+ vs. LHP with a 151 mark. I love this stack tonight, and Pena is the first click as he's the leadoff man for this Astros team. He's enjoying arguably the best stretch of hitting in his career right now and is still very affordable on both sites.

Jared Young, 1B/OF (FD) - NYM vs. Antonio Senzatela ($3.6K DK/$2.8K FD)

I am always hunting for cheap pieces of the top stack, and the young DH looks good to me as he hits from the left slide and is set to face one of the worst pitchers in the majors. That's seriously not overstating things. Senzatela enters tonight's game with a 7.14 ERA and a 1.98 WHIP in 58 innings.

Young has one home run since being called up from Triple-A, where he had smacked six out of the park in 26 games this season.

Others To Consider:

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Lawrence Butler, OF - ATH vs. Dean Kremer ($4.3K DK/$3.3K FD)

The Athletics erupted for 14 runs yesterday and will now face a very hittable right-handed pitcher tonight, Dean Kremer. Butler has been fantastic at the plate for almost a month straight now, yet he's still priced in the middle of the pack for outfielders.

Don't forget we are targeting bad bullpens, too, and the Orioles relievers collectively have been some of the worst in the league so far this season. This game is very stackable on both sides with a massive total. Make sure to get some exposure in GPPs and cash games alike.

Christian Yelich, OF - MIL vs. Randy Vasquez ($4.8K DK/$3.3K FD)

I love lefties against Vasquez, who continues to have wide splits in his career. Vasquez is a high-contact, low-strikeout pitcher who allows a lot of loud contact. He walks a lot of hitters, too, creating many bad situations for himself where he has multiple runners on base.

Yelich is a great low-ball hitter who profiles well against Vasquez and his sinker. He's having a nice resurgence in power this season with 13 dingers. He and the other Milwaukee lefties are worth a look tonight as a very affordable hitting stack.

Cody Bellinger, OF/1B (FD) - NYY vs. Walker Buehler ($4.5K DK/$3.2K FD)

More lefties, please! We continue our theme of picking on pitchers with poor splits against LHH with Bellinger against Walker Buehler. While Buehler is a better pitcher than Kremer or Vasquez, he's still struggled with Southpaws this season and is giving up a lot of hard contact this year.

Bellinger is coming off a solid series in Cleveland that finished with him hitting a home run last night and driving in three runs. He's been fantastic at home this season, smacking seven of his nine home runs at Yankee Stadium while hitting .284. He's fairly priced here and makes for a compelling cash game play, hitting right in the middle of this stacked New York lineup.

Others To Consider:

DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks

No cheating here, I am not going to write up the Mets, but YES, you should be playing them against Antonio Senzatela in Coors today with a seven-run total!

1. Milwaukee Brewers vs. Randy Vasquez (4.7 implied run total)

Favorite Combo: Wood, Luis Garcia, Nathaniel Lowe, Robert Hassell III, Tena

2. Houston Astros vs. Logan Allen (4.5 implied run total)

Favorite Combo: Pena, Paredes, Walker, Diaz

Honorable Mentions: New York Yankees vs. Walker Buehler, Athletics vs. Dean Kremer
