Hector Rodriguez, OF, Cincinnati Reds
Level: Triple-A
2026 stats: 67 G, .287/.360/.526, 15 HR, 45 RBI, 55 R, 4 SB, 10.1% BB%, 18.5% K%, .310 BABIP, .385 wOBA, 127 wRC+
Rodriguez originally signed with the Mets out of the Dominican Republic in 2021, but he was traded to the Reds in exchange for Tyler Naquin approximately 18 months later. The young outfield prospect has hit the baseball at every level he's been, including Triple-A here in 2026.
Rodriguez is a power-first bat, and the quality of contact has been super impressive. This year, his 107.3 mph EV90 ranks in the 93rd percentile. His barrel rate and hard-hit rate are both north of the 70th percentile, and he has a 23.3% pull-air rate. Despite chasing more than you'd like to see from a Triple-A prospect (35.8%), he has kept his whiff rate at a modest 22.7%.
Last week, Rodriguez went 10-for-27 with four homers, 14 RBI, one walk, and six strikeouts. His best game of that stretch came between Tuesday and Wednesday. Over that two-game span, he logged eight hits and a whopping 14 RBI. Rodriguez has now played 120 career games at Triple-A, so it appears that he'll be ready to make his MLB debut sooner rather than later.

Kade Anderson, SP, Seattle Mariners
Level: Double-A
2026 stats: 11 G, 11 GS, 6-0, 55.2 IP, 1.13 ERA, 1.66 FIP, 13.26 K/9, 1.13 BB/9, 0.32 HR/9, 48.1% GB%, .262 BABIP
Anderson was the No. 3 pick in the 2025 MLB Draft, making him the second pitcher off the board. The LSU product is one of several flashy pitching prospects in Double-A for the Mariners, joining Ryan Sloan. Together, the two represent the future of the Mariners' big-league pitching rotation.
Anderson throws four plus pitches, including a fastball that reaches 97 mph with plenty of whiffs and incredible ride. He has a great feel for his slider and curveball, and his changeup misses bats by tunneling off the fastball. He sits near the top of the Double-A leaderboard in just about every advanced metric, including whiff rate (98th percentile), out-of-zone swing rate (86th), and zone contact rate (99th).
The southpaw delivered yet another near-flawless outing last Saturday, allowing zero runs, three hits, and zero walks over 6.2 innings of work. He also struck out six batters along the way. The potential future ace is now up to four consecutive games (21.1 innings) without surrendering an earned run.
Facing both Kade Anderson and Ryan Sloan in a Double-A doubleheader simply isn't fair...

Owen Ayers, C, Chicago Cubs
Level: Double-A
2026 stats: 53 G, .332/.442/.689, 17 HR, 50 RBI, 40 R, 5 SB, 15.2% BB%, 24.2% K%, .387 BABIP, .482 wOBA, 190 wRC+
The Cubs selected Ayers in the 19th round of the 2024 MLB Draft. The Marshall product ultimately kicked off his pro career by inking a $50,000 signing bonus. He's on the older side for a prospect at 25 years old, but he has been absolutely tearing the cover off the baseball recently in Double-A.
A switch-hitter capable of producing power from both sides, Ayers possesses an advanced swing and high exit velocities. We'd like to see him cut down on strikeouts, but the walk rate is decent for a power-hitting catcher. Defensively, he projects as a catcher long-term with top-tier arm strength and improved blocking skills.
Last week, Ayers went 17-for-29 with two home runs, eight doubles, nine RBI, three walks, and six strikeouts. He's up to a 1.131 OPS this season and should earn a promotion to Triple-A sooner rather than later. At 25 years old, there's an outside chance we could see him in the majors by the end of this season.

Jack Mahoney, RHP, Colorado Rockies
Level: Double-A
2026 stats: 6 G, 6 GS, 3-0, 23.2 IP, 0.76 ERA, 2.89 FIP, 9.51 K/9, 3.80 BB/9, 0.00 HR/9, 59.6% GB%, .293 BABIP
The Rockies selected Mahoney in the third round of the 2023 MLB Draft. He was an intriguing prospect fresh out of South Carolina, and he ultimately signed for just shy of $1 million. Mahoney is now 24 years old and has been pitching well at Double-A, suggesting that a promotion to Triple-A could be in order.
Mahoney's fastball sits in the mid-90s and tops out at 98 mph. He throws five total pitches, although the slider and cutter can sometimes blend together. With that in mind, the changeup has emerged as his best secondary offering. We're quite impressed by his 34.1% whiff rate, 33.4% called strike and whiff rate, and 59.6% ground ball rate in 2026.
Mahoney delivered a gem last Thursday, striking out 10 batters over five innings of work against the Blue Jays' Double-A affiliate in New Hampshire. Along the way, he allowed zero runs, one hit, and zero walks. Mahoney hasn't allowed an earned run since his first outing of the season on April 4, and he seems likely to be due for a promotion to Triple-A in the near future.
Josiah Hartshorn, OF, Chicago Cubs
Level: High-A
2026 stats: 57 G, .320/.429/.586, 13 HR, 53 RBI, 44 R, 5 SB, 16.5% BB%, 16.1% K%, .338 BABIP, .458 wOBA, 168 wRC+
One more Cubs prospect makes their way onto the list. Hartshorn was a prep prospect out of Orange Lutheran (CA) in the 2025 draft. He was ultimately selected by the Cubs in the sixth round of the draft that year, putting pen to paper on a contract with a $2 million signing bonus, which is significantly above slot value.
Hartshorn, currently just 19 years old, projects as a long-term right fielder who hits from both sides of the plate and throws with his left hand. He has emerged as a fringe top-five prospect in the Cubs' system with impressive walk and contact rates. He has decent power with 13 home runs so far, and he has displayed solid discipline at the plate with an 18.4% out-of-zone swing rate. He has also kept whiffs to a respectable 21.5% rate.
Last week, Harsthorn went 10-for-21 with four home runs, 11 RBI, two walks, and four strikeouts. The teenager now owns a 1.422 OPS in the month of June, and he should be considered for a promotion to Double-A very soon. Beyond the power, discipline, and overall production, we're intrigued by the fact that Hartshorn has decent splits from both sides of the plate. With that being said, he displays way more power as a lefty.
Josiah Hartshorn. He did it again.
