Shohei Ohtani to Throw Bullpen on Sunday
Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Shohei Ohtani (elbow) is scheduled to throw a live bullpen session on Sunday. His session was initially scheduled to be held on Saturday, but it will instead be pushed back. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status as this will be the first time the right-hander faces live hitters since undergoing Tommy John surgery during the 2023 season. The 30-year-old will likely need to complete several live sessions before being considered to return to action. While he has been unable to pitch, Ohtani has still made a significant impact in the batter's box. Through the first 49 games this season, the designated hitter has posted a stellar .303/.397/.643 line with 17 home runs and 11 stolen bases.
