NFL Pick'em Pool Picks (Week 10) - Targets, Avoids, Predictions for Pick'em Contests (2024)

Justin Herbert

The top NFL Pick'em pool picks for Week 10 of the 2024 NFL season. Mike's weekly NFL Pick'em pool targets, avoids, and predictions to help win pick'em contests.

Four teams will be on a bye for Week 10. However, that doesn’t mean there will be a shortage of exciting games to enjoy. Among the marquee matchups will be a battle between the Ravens and Bengals on Thursday Night Football.

Each week of the NFL season, I’ll share my picks for each game and rank their selections for those who play in a format that requires it. The games will be grouped into locks, semi-confident picks, and toss-ups. The number listed next to the game shows my confidence level, counting down to my least confident pick. The winner picks are italicized.

Some weeks, you may see a subcategory of “Wait and See” because some platforms require all games to be selected before the kickoff of Thursday Night Football. There may still be some injury questions for Sunday and Monday games. If that’s the case, I’ll leave those games off to the side and suggest where they should be placed if a player is in or out. Let’s get to our Week 10 picks.

Week 10 NFL Pick'em Pool Locks

The number listed next to the game shows my confidence level, counting down to my least-confident pick. The higher the number, the better. The winner picks are italicized.

  • 14 – Los Angeles Chargers vs. Tennessee
  • 13 – Minnesota at Jacksonville
  • 12 – Philadelphia at Dallas

The Titans could get Will Levis (shoulder) back for this week. It doesn’t matter. They are 2-6 and averaging just 17.5 points per game. Scoring won’t get any easier against the Chargers, who have allowed just 12.6 points per game. The Chargers are also 4-0 against teams with a losing record.

After two tough matchups against the Lions and Rams that resulted in losses, the Vikings bounced back with a win over the Colts last week. They are 6-2 on the season, with Sam Darnold having already thrown 17 touchdown passes. He has the potential to dominate a Jaguars team that is tied for the most passing touchdowns allowed in the league.

Injuries could hamper both the Eagles and Cowboys this week, but the Cowboys are in worse shape with Dak Prescott (hamstring) out. The Eagles are 3-1 on the road, while the Cowboys are 0-3 at home. Having their backup quarterback under center will make it difficult for the Cowboys to emerge from this game with a victory.

Semi-Confident Picks For Week 10 Pick'em Pools

11 – Atlanta at New Orleans

The Falcons pulled out a two-point win over the Saints in Atlanta earlier this season. Divisional games on the road can be difficult, regardless of the records of both teams. However, the Saints have lost seven straight games, just fired their head coach, and are without their top two wide receivers. The Falcons should be able to lock down the season sweep of the Saints.

10 – Buffalo at Indianapolis

The Bills are the vastly superior team here, but there are a couple of reasons why I made this a semi-confident pick instead of a lock. Joe Flacco is a better option at quarterback than Anthony Richardson is right now for the Colts. The Colts are also 3-1 at home. The Bills are 4-0 at home, but just 3-2 on the road. Still, it would be a surprise if the Bills didn’t win this game.

9 – Kansas City vs. Denver

The Chiefs bring an 8-0 record into this matchup, while the Broncos are 5-4. The Chiefs acquiring DeAndre Hopkins was huge, and he started to pay dividends last week with two touchdown receptions against the Buccaneers. The Chiefs are at home and have a major advantage at quarterback for this matchup, so they should be able to continue their undefeated streak.

8 – Baltimore vs. Cincinnati

Thursday Night Football games can be tricky to predict. A divisional matchup on Thursday puts things even more up in the air. However, the Ravens will have the advantage of playing at home, where they are 3-1. The Bengals could also be without Tee Higgins (quadriceps) for the third straight game, which might make it difficult to keep up with the Ravens’ high-powered offense.

7 – Chicago vs. New England

Two disappointing losses in a row have dropped the Bears to 4-4. This game being in Chicago is noteworthy because the Bears are 4-0 at home, compared to 0-4 on the road. The Bears have also allowed just five passing touchdowns this season, so Patriots rookie quarterback Drake Maye could be in line for a long day.

6 – New York Giants at Carolina

This game will be played in Germany. That might be a good thing for the Giants, who are 0-5 at home. Both of these teams struggle to score points, but the Giants have been much better on defense. They have allowed 22.4 points per game, while the Panthers have given up 32.6 points per game. Look for that to be the difference that helps the Giants improve to 3-7.

NFL Pick'em Toss-Ups Of Week 10

5 – Los Angeles Rams vs. Miami

The Dolphins are a scarier opponent now that Tua Tagovailoa is back. They scored 27 points last week in a three-point loss to the Bills in Buffalo. Another difficult road matchup awaits them against the Rams, who are 3-1 at home. The lean here is toward the Rams, but they have allowed the 10th-most passing yards per game in the league, so it wouldn’t be a shocker if the Dolphins won.

4 – San Francisco at Tampa Bay

The Buccaneers almost pulled off an upset over the Chiefs last week, but eventually lost in overtime. They just have too many injuries at wide receiver right now. The 49ers are the better team and could get Christian McCaffrey (Achilles) back, so they should be able to earn the victory here. However, with Baker Mayfield playing well and the Buccaneers being at home, an upset isn’t out of the question.

3 – Detroit at Houston

The Lions are 7-1 and look like the team to beat in the NFC. They are 4-0 on the road and have a +110 point differential this season, which is the best mark in the league. Still, this is a tough spot for them against a Texans team that is 4-0 at home. I’d lean toward the Lions because of their stellar run defense, but this game is risky.

2 – New York Jets at Arizona

These are two of the more inconsistent teams in the league. Following five straight losses, the Jets knocked off the Texans last week. Of those previous five losses, three of them came by three or fewer points. The Cardinals started the season 1-3, but have gone 4-1 since. The Cardinals have the edge at home, but they might not be able to slow down Davante Adams and Garrett Wilson.

1 – Washington vs. Pittsburgh

This is a great matchup between the 7-2 Commanders and the 6-2 Steelers. The Commanders are a perfect 4-0 at home, while the Steelers are 3-1 on the road. The Commanders have one of the most potent offenses in the league, while the Steelers have a suffocating defense. This will be a fun game to watch, but trying to pick the winner is about as difficult as it gets.
