Behren Morton To Start Against Houston Saturday
Texas Tech quarterback Behren Morton (neck) was knocked out of the win over Utah two weeks ago. After having a bye last week, Morton is back in the starting lineup for a showdown between undefeated teams on Saturday night in Houston. Morton has completed 69-of-100 passes for 1,065 yards, 11 touchdowns, and three interceptions so far this season but was struggling against Utah when he exited the game. Backup quarterback Will Hammond sparked a 34-10 win in what was a close game until Morton left and did not return. The fifth-year senior did not lose his role as the starting quarterback despite strong play from Hammond.
