Welcome, RotoBallers, to our Week 7 fantasy baseball FAAB waiver wire pickups for May 11th - May 17th. For those not familiar with this weekly series, we dive into the best fantasy baseball waiver wire targets every week for leagues that use FAAB (free agent acquisition budget) and our recommended dollar bid amounts for waivers.
For this week, this article will highlight 11 top-tier waivers wire pickups for fantasy baseball leagues. All 11 of these players are currently trending up and are must-targets on waivers this weekend. As a reminder, only players rostered in 40% or fewer of Yahoo! leagues will be considered for this list.
So, let's look at the best waiver wire pickups for Week 7 of the fantasy baseball season.

Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Hitters to Target
Spencer Jones, OF, New York Yankees

The New York Yankees called up their No. 6 prospect Spencer Jones before Friday's series opener against the Milwaukee Brewers. Although he went 0-for-2 with one walk and two strikeouts in his Major League debut, Jones is still a strong add in all 12-team leagues due to his power potential.
Jones hit 35 home runs and stole 29 bases across 116 games in 2025 and had 11 home runs and seven stolen bases at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre this year. That power-plus-speed combination makes the 24-year-old an intriguing add in most formats. While he did have a 43.3% whiff rate in 33 Triple-A games this season, his ability to hit the ball hard (58.7% hard-hit rate) and hit homers (29.3% barrel rate) is encouraging.
Ezequiel Duran, 1B/2B/3B/SS/OF, Texas Rangers

It always seems like Texas Rangers utility specialist Ezequiel Duran has a few really good stretches every year and then disappears. Last year, Duran batted .342 with seven extra-base hits, eight RBI, and four stolen bases across 24 games from August 2 to September 5. Before that, he was batting just .146 with six doubles and six RBI.
However, Duran is worth a look in some leagues right now. He is currently batting .304 with two home runs, 13 RBI, and four stolen bases across 29 games, and his early-season metrics back up his strong numbers. His expected batting average (.280), average exit velocity (91.7 mph), hard-hit rate (45.3%), and walk rate (12%) are all massively up from last year. So, ride his hot bat and pick him up.
Zack Gelof, 2B/OF, Athletics

FAAB Bid: ~5%
Just two years ago, Athletics second baseman Zack Gelof hit 17 home runs and stole 24 bases in a solid all-around campaign. Then, he battled multiple injuries throughout the 2025 season, limiting him to just 30 games. With Gelof now fully past those injuries from last year, he's starting to become a consistent fantasy option again.

Gelof is batting .323 with two home runs, one double, one triple, six RBI, and one stolen base over his last nine games. He has been a 15+ home run, 20+ stolen base fantasy player in the past and has the potential to be that player again. The biggest question is what his playing time will look like when Max Muncy and Denzel Clarke return. For now, though, he's worth adding amid a hot offensive stretch.
Travis Bazzana, 2B, Cleveland Guardians

FAAB Bid: ~8-10%
The potential is there for Cleveland Guardians second baseman Travis Bazzana to be a solid fantasy option in his first Major League season. He batted .287 with two home runs, 10 RBI, and eight stolen bases in 24 Triple-A games to begin the season and is starting to become more comfortable in the big leagues. Bazzana has tallied a hit in five of his past six games, which included launching his first career home run on Friday.
Therefore, the 23-year-old is the top waiver wire hitter this weekend. He could be a nice source of batting average and stolen bases in Year 1 and should continue to play every day in Cleveland. With an expected .292 batting average, a .371 xwOBA, a 32.6% squared-up rate, and a 20.6% walk rate, Bazzana is a nice pickup for Week 7.
Brooks Lee, 2B/3B/SS, Minnesota Twins

It's hard to ignore what Minnesota Twins infielder Brooks Lee has been doing at the plate recently. He is batting an impressive .360 with two home runs, four doubles, 11 RBI, and two stolen bases across his last 13 games and is now on pace to hit 19 home runs with close to double-digit stolen bases. That has him firmly on some fantasy radars in 12-plus team leagues.
While some regression is eventually headed his way with a .219 expected batting average, this recent two-week stretch makes him an appealing add. Lee has three multi-hit games over his last four contests and has a squared-up rate (26.8%) that ranks in the upper half of the league. Spending around 5% of your remaining FAAB makes sense here.
Ryan Waldschmidt, OF, Arizona Diamondbacks

FAAB Bid: ~6-8%
The Arizona Diamondbacks called up their top prospect Ryan Waldschmidt ahead of Friday's series opener against the New York Mets. Although Waldschmidt did not start in Friday's game, he did come off the bench and tallied a hit in his first career plate appearance. The 23-year-old turned on an 87 mph cutter for a single to left field.
Waldschmidt has such a knack for hitting, which is why he is featured on this list. He batted .289 with 18 home runs, 78 RBI, and 29 stolen bases in his final full Minor League season in 2025 and has the potential to contribute solid numbers in the batting average, home run, RBI, and stolen base departments. He could make a serious impact in his first rookie campaign.
JJ Bleday, OF, Cincinnati Reds

Cincinnati Reds outfielder JJ Bleday is making a strong first impression on his new team. After starting the season down at Triple-A Louisville, Bleday was eventually called up on April 25 to replace an injured Eugenio Suarez on the active roster. Since coming up, Bleday is slashing .278/.395/.667 with four home runs and seven RBI in 43 plate appearances.

It might only be a small sample size, but the 28-year-old is making the most of his opportunity. He has a .383 expected batting average, a .814 expected slugging, a 23.1% barrel rate, a 61.5% hard-hit rate, and a 65.4% launch angle sweet-spot rate. This is one of those instances where fantasy managers should ride the hot bat and see what happens. Bleday did have a 20-homer season just two years ago.
Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Pitchers to Target
Robby Snelling, SP, Miami Marlins

FAAB Bid: ~10-12%
The Miami Marlins decided to call up their No. 2 overall prospect to make his Major League debut on Friday against the Washington Nationals. Unfortunately, Robby Snelling struggled a bit in his first career start by allowing three runs on five hits with four walks and two strikeouts across five innings. Still, Snelling is the top pitcher add this weekend.
The southpaw absolutely dominated at Triple-A Jacksonville to begin the season. He had a 1.86 ERA and 44 strikeouts across 29 innings pitched and tossed five no-hit innings with nine strikeouts in his final Minor League start before being called up. There aren't many pitchers with his ceiling on waivers right now, making him a must-pickup.
Peter Lambert, RP/SP, Houston Astros

FAAB Bid: ~2-4%
Houston Astros starting pitcher Peter Lambert is a sneaky waiver wire pickup for Week 7. He currently owns a 2.42 ERA and 23 strikeouts in four starts this season and is coming off his best outing of the season. Lambert threw seven shutout innings with three hits and four strikeouts against the Los Angeles Dodgers earlier this week.
The joke is on me for sitting Houston Astros' starting pitcher Peter Lambert against the Dodgers on Tuesday. Lambert threw 7 scoreless innings. Lambert had a 8.7% swinging-strike rate and a 39% ball rate on Tuesday.

That's more than enough reason to give Lambert a look in some leagues. The right-hander also ranks in the upper half of the league in expected ERA (3.33), expected batting average (.205), whiff rate (29%), strikeout rate (24.7%), and barrel rate (5.3%). With a potential two-start week upcoming for him as well, he's a solid add in 12+ team leagues.
Logan Henderson, SP, Milwaukee Brewers

FAAB Bid: ~5-7%
It is a bit surprising that Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Logan Henderson is rostered in only 27% of Yahoo! leagues. Henderson is coming off a magnificent start against the Washington Nationals in which he tossed six innings of two-run ball with eight strikeouts. This comes after the right-hander pitched well in his five starts last year (1.78 ERA and 33 strikeouts across 25 1/3 innings).
As a result, Henderson should be added in all 12+ team leagues. His stuff has played well in the big leagues, and the Brewers pitcher has an elite 32.6% chase rate and 33.3% strikeout rate in eight innings pitched this season. While there are question marks about his spot in Milwaukee's rotation once Brandon Woodruff returns, he's still a nice pickup for Week 7.
Gregory Soto, RP, Pittsburgh Pirates

FAAB Bid: ~8-10% if you need saves
The closer situation in Pittsburgh has gone back and forth between Gregory Soto and Dennis Santana all season. But Soto appears to have the leg up in that close role at the moment. The southpaw was manager Don Kelly's preferred option in the ninth inning in both Wednesday's 1-0 win and Thursday's 4-2 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Given Santana's recent struggles on the mound, Soto is a must-roster reliever in roto formats. He should continue to get save chances on this Pirates team, and has been one of the best relievers in all of baseball to begin the season. The two-time All-Star has a 1.42 ERA, a 35.7% strikeout rate, a 2.7% barrel rate, and a 27% hard-hit rate in 19 relief appearances in 2026.
