Is Tre Tucker the WR1 for the Raiders now? With Jakobi Meyers traded, John breaks down Tre Tucker's fantasy football outlook heading into Week 10 of the 2025 season.
Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Tre Tucker has quite a different fantasy football outlook after Tuesday's Raiders trade news -- WR Jakobi Meyers was sent to the Jacksonville Jaguars for fourth- and sixth-round picks.
Meyers was Tucker's biggest remaining obstacle to getting consistent high target volume among the Raiders WRs. While tight end Brock Bowers proved once again that he's elite, he plays a different position than Tucker.
The presence of Bowers obviously changes things for Tucker, and significantly lowers both his floor and his ceiling. But is Tucker the WR1 moving forward? Let's dive in.

Is Tre Tucker The WR1 For The Raiders?
Probably. Vegas' other receiving weapons have struggled so far. The team brought in veteran Tyler Lockett to get some help at the position, but he's an aging veteran, and his best days are long behind him. Rookie WR Dont'e Thornton Jr. wasn't even active in Week 9, so his outlook is pretty rocky.
And fellow rookie wideout Jack Bech has struggled to earn targets. Despite being a second-round pick by the organization, he logged zero snaps against the Jaguars on Sunday. And that was with the Jags being one of the worst pass defenses in the league. His role essentially got taken over by Lockett.
#Raiders WR Jack Bech did not record a snap vs the Jaguars
Tyler Lockett replaced him entirely logging 0 receptions on 2 targets and averaged 0.98 yards of separation (did have a great block on a TD however). Limiting your 2nd round pick for a veteran who is in a career worse…

Vegas' usage of its rookies was very curious. It invested second- and fourth-round picks into wide receivers to try to improve the offense, and neither saw an offensive snap. Perhaps that will change moving forward. Regardless, it's pretty obvious that Tucker will be the WR1.
Such little playing time for the rookies and the only other meaningful WR on the team being a 33-year-old who was targeted once and didn't catch a pass pretty much clears things up on how this room will shake out moving forward.
Tre Tucker Fantasy Football Outlook
The Raiders offense likely takes a step back without Meyers. It seems that Bowers is essentially playing WR now -- he'll continue to line up in the slot and out wide heavily. Most tight ends are used heavily as blockers, but Bowers is one of the few in the league who is athletic enough that he can consistently beat defensive backs.
Brock Bowers what a snag for the TD! 😤

Tucker will likely continue playing on the outside. He's not an elite route runner by any means, but he has enough speed to stretch the field at times. According to my analysis, he's a weird mix of a gadget player and legitimate separator, though he's far from consistent in this offense.

I don't see a ton of upside with quarterback Geno Smith throwing the ball. The offense is far too prone to turnovers when it's throwing the ball to anyone but Bowers, and even though Smith had a nice game against the Jaguars, they're one of the worst pass defenses in the NFL.
They also lost their best cover cornerback, Jourdan Lewis (shoulder), mid-game. Tougher days will be ahead for Smith. Bowers will be fine, but Tucker is still a deep league flex option in my mind.
