Aroldis Chapman Dealing with Back Tightness
Aroldis Chapman (back) was pulled during Sunday's outing against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Chapman walked the first two batters he faced before getting Shohei Ohtani to fly out. After that, Chapman exited the game with the trainer without much clarity on the injury. According to Christopher Smith, Chapman was removed due to back tightness. Red Sox' manager Alex Cora said he doesn't believe Chapman will require a trip to the injured list and the southpaw should be considered day-to-day. Possibly, Chapman gets a few days off, which could mean closer by committee until he's ready to pitch again.
