MLB DFS Values: Top Plays For FanDuel, DraftKings Daily Fantasy Baseball (6/10/2024)

Jose Miranda - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, Waiver Wire Pickups

The best MLB DFS value plays for FanDuel and DraftKings for the MLB DFS slate on June 10. Use Juan Carlos' MLB DFS value picks to build daily fantasy baseball lineups.

We have a modest six-game MLB slate Monday night, but there are still plenty of value hitters to consider for your cash game and tournament lineups, as well as one discounted pitcher that has been pitching better than his current salaries suggest.

We will be hunting for bargains daily because nailing some value picks that produce is one of the best ways to build a winning DFS lineup. How else are you going to afford all of those expensive bats of the Dodgers in Pittsburgh?

This article will provide my top DFS value picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 6/10/2024. We aim for hitters who cost less than 4K on DraftKings and less than 3K on FanDuel. For pitchers, the general guideline is under 7K on DraftKings and under 8K on FanDuel. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for baseball and other sports here. MLB DFS Value Plays - Pitcher(s)

Joey Estes at SDP ($6.8K DK; $7.6K FD)

The Athletics are improved this year but nowhere close to contender status, yet that doesn't mean there haven't been some bright spots that offer reason for optimism. Estes certainly qualifies, and he checks into Monday's start having allowed just one earned run on three hits over the 11 1/3 innings covering his last two starts, a span during which he's also generated a 10:2 K:BB.

Estes has had only one poor outing over his first five starts, and although the opposition Monday doesn't present an appealing matchup by any stretch, the Petco Park venue is a pitcher-friendly one. Estes has also done a very good job preventing the long ball, allowing only two home runs across 27 innings. His peripheral numbers also indicate he's been appreciably better than his 4.67 ERA, as he has a stellar 0.96 WHIP, .220 xBA, .282 xwOBA and 3.09 xERA.

With only a mid-size slate, we simply don't have a lot of value arms to focus on, but Estes is one that could certainly overdeliver on his modest salaries.

MLB DFS Value Plays - Infielders

Carlos Santana, 1B - MIN vs. Dakota Hudson ($3.8K DK; $2.7K FD)

Santana is still plugging along 15 years in. Although neither his .217 average nor .389 slugging percentage is encouraging, the veteran is still capable of delivering big hits, and he may be working out of the leadoff spot again Monday after reaching safely twice and delivering a pair of RBI in his first game of the season at the top of the order Sunday.

Santana also has a favorable matchup with Rockies starter Dakota Hudson, who's allowed a .286 average, .377 wOBA, and 4.64 xFIP to left-handed hitters. While a lot of those troubles have come at Coors Field, Hudson pitches to plenty of contact irrespective of venue, and while Santana has struggled overall with right-handed pitchers, he's belted five of his nine homers on the season off righties.

Abraham Toro, 3B/1B/2B - OAK at Dylan Cease ($3.8K DK; $2.8K FD)

Toro is another member of the Athletics who's been a consistent contributor this season, as evidenced by his .269 average, .708 OPS, and 23 RBI. The versatile switch hitter has been much better against left-handers, but he boasts a .277 average and .720 OPS against righties on the road that are partly the byproduct of an elite 32.3 percent line-drive rate.

Cease is a tough matchup as the Padres' starting pitcher Monday, but he has had some trouble with left-handed hitters at home, allowing a 1.4 HR/9 in that split. Toro has been a steady producer all season and has a sub-20.0 percent strikeout rate, always giving him a better-than-average chance to put the ball in play while often working out of the leadoff spot.

Jose Miranda, 3B/1B - MIN vs. Dakota Hudson ($3.5K DK; $2.7K FD)

Miranda is another value-salaried member of the Twins who could capitalize on the matchup with Hudson on Monday, considering his .273 average and .764 OPS. The infielder has also been at his best in same-handed matchups, posting a .277 average, .790 OPS, and four of his six homers on the season in that split.

Hudson has been effective against right-handed hitters overall, but Miranda happens to have a very good track record against Hudson's top three pitches -- the sinker, slider, and four-seam fastball -- producing respective .295, .280, and .313 averages against those offerings.

MLB DFS Value Plays - Outfielders

Brenton Doyle, OF - COL at Chris Paddack ($3.7K DK; $3.1K FD)

Doyle faces a very hittable pitcher in Paddack, who's pitched to a 5.26 ERA and 1.42 WHIP across 12 starts. The veteran right-hander has pitched to plenty of contact as usual, surrendering 78 hits over 65 innings and surrendering a 1.5 HR/9. Paddack has also conceded a .293 average and giving up six of his 11 homers on the season to right-handed hitters.

Meanwhile, Doyle has been a better hitter at Coors Field, but he does own a .271 average, .769 OPS, and .340 wOBA against right-handed pitching and checks into Monday having hit safely in five of his last six starts.

Mauricio Dubon, OF/2B/3B - HOU at Kyle Harrison ($3K DK; $2.5K FD)

Following a 1-for-3 day that saw him reach and score two times apiece Sunday, Dubon now sports a .297 average and .718 OPS, with the former figure easily a career high. Dubon has also been especially effective on the road, where he owns a .338 average and .752 OPS across 64 plate appearances.

Dubon has also enjoyed his most success versus lefties, which he's tagged for a .326 average, .798 OPS, .344 wOBA, and 126 wRC+. That makes him an excellent candidate to deploy against Harrison, who's allowed a .278 average, .345 wOBA, and seven of his nine homers on the season to right-handed hitters.

Mike Yastrzemski, OF - SFG vs. Spencer Arrighetti ($3.2K DK; $2.6K FD)

Yaz is an interesting salary-saving tournament option to consider on the other side of the Astros-Giants matchup, considering his matchup against a pitcher in Arrighetti who's allowed a .284 average and .352 wOBA to lefty bats, as well as a 4.98 xFIP to that handedness of hitter on the road.

Yastrzemski hasn't been at his most efficient at the plate by any means -- although he did belt his seventh homer Sunday -- but he has tagged right-handed pitchers for a .282 average, .819 OPS, .356 wOBA and 135 wRC+ at home. He also owns an excellent 28.8 percent line-drive rate and 39.6 percent hard-contact rate in that split, offering a solid foundation for his other impressive aforementioned numbers.
