Wide Receiver Matchups to Target in Week 15: Mike Williams, Chris Moore, Diontae Johnson, DeVonta Smith, Terry McLaurin, Chris Olave

Chris Olave - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Ryan's favorite WR vs. CB matchups to exploit for Week 15 of 2022 - DFS wide receivers to target on DraftKings & FanDuel. These WR/CB matchups are GPP and cash game sleepers.

Week 15 will be full of exciting and unexpected games like the NFL has given us all year. The NFL has been full of surprises between the Eagles' 12-1 start and rookie quarterback Brock Purdy leading the 49ers to a 35-7 win over Tom Brady's Buccaneers last week.

Hopefully, this DFS article will help you win some money while we watch our favorite teams and players this Sunday. Matchups for the wide receiver position aren't always as black and white as they can be for other positions. Receivers sometimes move around the formation or may face shadow coverage, meaning these matchups need to be broken down deeper based on that data.

Now, here are the top WR vs. CB matchups for Week 15. Use these to set season-long lineups, as well as gain a competitive edge in the DFS games. The matchup data used in this article is from PFF.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Mike Williams, Los Angeles Chargers

DraftKings $6300 / FanDuel $7200 - vs. Terrance Mitchell

Mike Williams missed a few games with a high-ankle sprain but was able to return last week in what looked to be peak form. Williams finished Week 14 with six receptions for 116 yards and a touchdown against the Miami Dolphins. He pulled down all six of his targets and finished with a whopping 19.3 yards per reception. Williams will be up against Terrance Mitchell and the Tennessee Titans this week.

Currently, the Titans allow the most fantasy points to wide receivers on average, while the Chargers run a pass play at the second-highest rate. This Sunday will be the perfect storm for a boom week from Mike Williams. Mitchell currently allows 15.5 yards per reception this year, allowing Williams the opportunity to have an absolute field day this Sunday.

Chris Moore, Houston Texans

DraftKings $4200 / FanDuel $6000 - vs. Trent McDuffie

Chris Moore has not been a name to monitor virtually at all this season, but after last week, his Week 15 is looking very promising. Nico Collins and Brandin Cooks have been the clear WR1 and WR2 for the Texans, but both had to miss Week 14 due to injury.

In place of the riddled receiving corps, Moore finished with ten receptions for 124 yards against the Cowboys in a surprisingly close game. The Chiefs currently allow 25.02 fantasy points per game to wide receivers (fourth-most) this year.

Trent McDuffie will be the primary defender, who has been having a very solid season thus far (77.7 PFF coverage grade). Even with the good coverage, Moore should see a wealth of targets if Brandin Cooks and/or Nico Collins miss the game. Collins missed Wednesday and Thursday practices, while Cooks was a limited participant on Thursday. Moore can be a great value, especially with his $4200 price tag on DraftKings.

Diontae Johnson, Pittsburgh Steelers

DraftKings $5100 / FanDuel $6600 - vs. C.J. Henderson

Diontae Johnson has had a very rough season. His on-field usage has been excellent, but he has yet to perform up to expectations. Through 14 weeks, Johnson has had 186 expected points but finished with 50 points under expectation. Based on his expected points, he should be the WR9, but he is currently the WR36. The only game he did not finish as a WR3 was Week 3 (WR2 finish).

That may seem scary, but he could put together a nice performance this Sunday against the Carolina Panthers. Last week the Panthers allowed three touchdowns through the air to Tyler Lockett, DK Metcalf, and Marquise Goodwin.

The Panthers currently allow the eleventh most fantasy points to wide receivers on average, and if you have been keeping Johnson out of your DFS lineups (rightfully so), this could be the week that he has some value.

DeVonta Smith, Philadelphia Eagles

DraftKings $6400 / FanDuel $7200 - vs. Jaylon Johnson

DeVonta Smith has been a bit inconsistent this season but has definitely shown flashes of why he was a first-round pick. Over the past two weeks, he has averaged five receptions, 83 yards, and one touchdown per game.

The Eagles have been letting it fly through the air over the past two games, with Jalen Hurts averaging 298.5 passing yards. Jaylon Johnson will likely be the primary defender this week, allowing 14.7 yards per reception.

With the defense probably trying to focus on star wideout A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith could put together a nice game for the third-straight contest. Smith currently boasts an excellent PFF matchup advantage over the Bears receivers this week. Even with Smith’s inconsistencies this year, he could be a great value in DFS this week.

Terry McLaurin, Washington Commanders

DraftKings $6100 / FanDuel $7600 - vs. Fabian Moreau

Scary Terry has been on a roll this year and will be fresh off a Week 13 bye for a divisional rematch versus the New York Giants. In the last matchup with New York in Week 12, McLaurin finished with eight receptions for 105 yards and a touchdown.

He has been averaging 84 yards per game over the last four and should have no problem putting up a huge game against Fabian Moreau this week. Moreau currently has a modest 58.4 PFF coverage grade, allowing 12.3 yards per reception. Now boasting an excellent 92.4 PFF matchup advantage, confidently fire up McLaurin in DFS this week.

Chris Olave, New Orleans Saints

DraftKings $6500 / FanDuel $7100 - vs. Darren Hall

Chris Olave used to be a regular in this column, having been under-valued seemingly every week. He started red-hot this year but slowed down a bit through the middle of the season. Over the past three games, his production has come back up. Since Week 11, Olave has been averaging 76.3 yards per game and has a great matchup against the Atlanta Falcons this week.

The Falcons currently allow the sixth-most fantasy points to wide receivers (24.1 per game) and have just named rookie quarterback Desmond Ridder as the starter. Ridder has not played at all this year and could struggle, leading to the Saints' offense being on the field a lot more. Olave could easily pick apart this defense and could be a great DFS play this week.
