Worlds Group Stage DFS Lineup Picks for 10/13/21 - FanDuel, DraftKings League Of Legends Daily Fantasy

Nolan Roth's League of Leagues (LoL) analysis and Worlds DFS lineup picks for FanDuel, DraftKings on 10/13/21. He discusses the Worlds Group Stage LoL slates and his top targets.

Welcome to RotoBaller's coverage of League of Legends DFS for both FanDuel and DraftKings. Worlds Group Stage is finally upon us after one of the more memorable play-in stages in recent years.

Worlds is the best time of year for League of Legends as we get to see the top teams from all the regions battle it out to see who is the best. There are plenty of great teams in this tournament and I look forward to covering the DFS slates along the way.

Today I'll be bringing you my top League of Legends advice, analysis, and picks, for the slate beginning on Wednesday, October 13th, 2021 at 7:00 AM EST. You can check me out on Twitter @nolanroth10 and follow me for more LOL content!

Matchups

  • RNG (-275) vs. HLE
  • MAD vs. LNG (-145)
  • FPX (-325) vs. RGE
  • FNC vs. PSG (-190)
  • Gen G (-210) vs. TL
  • DWG (-650)  vs. C9
  • EDG (-800) vs. DFM
  • 100T vs. T1 (-350)

Captain

Maple - PSG: Fnatic have struggled through the first two games and have died a whopping 59 times. They are not the same team without Upset in the lineup but are still happy to take any fight presented to them. Maple leads PSG with 11 kills through two games and has played well so far. After falling to RNG, PSG rebounded well taking down HLE who beat Fnatic in their first game of groups.

Scout - EDG: Scout is yet to die in the tournament going 11/0/13. EDG has looked strong so far and aside from their support (8) have only died twice. DFM has looked very overmatched in the group stage so far and that trend will likely continue here against Scout and EDG. DFM has died 41 times in two games which is the second most next to Fnatic.

TOP

Xiahou - RNG: Xiahou leads all top laners in kills with 13. Through 2 games he has dominated his lane and RNG has been giving him tons of attention. His counterpart in Morgan is the clear weak link for HLE and Xiahou should have no trouble winning the lane and we may even see some solo kills. Xiahou is second to Gala in kills for RNG.

Flandre - EDG: Flandre like Scout is yet to die going 8/0/12 through 2 games. He has generated advantages in both XP and gold in the first 10 minutes and has used that to win his lane. Evi will be no match for Flandre in this one and EDG should cruise to another victory.

JUNGLE

River - PSG: River hasn't had great numbers thus far however, a game against Fnatic could be just what he needs to change that. River is priced under $7000 on DK making him one of the best values on the slate.

Wei - RNG: Wei had a dominant game against Fnatic putting 9 kills and 13 assists while only dying once. Top laner Morgan is the weak link for HLE so look for Wei to continue to put his focus on helping out Xiahou in the top lane as it has been an extremely successful strategy for them so far.

MID

Maple -PSG: See above

Scout - EDG: See above

ADC

Gala - RNG: Gala continues to dominate international play after helping RNG win MSI and taking home MVP earlier this year. Gala is 15/4/16 through 2 games and leads the tournament in kills. RNG lead the tournament in kills and have a 1.05 combined kills per minute.

Unified - PSG: Stacking against Fnatic has been a profitable strategy through the first two days. As mentioned before Fnatic have died 59 times in two games and are really struggling without Upset. Unified who is second in kills for PSG gets to face off against the back up ADC and a bot lane who has 44.1% of Fnatic's deaths.

SUPPORT

Kaiwing- PSG: Kaiwing is cheaper then the top options at support on this slate, but has just as much upside going against Fnatic. If you are using Unified as your ADC, pairing him up with Kaiwaing could be a successful decision.

Ming - RNG: Ming is tied for the most assists and him and Gala make up one of the best bot lane duos in the tournament. If you are playing Gala it is never a bad idea to pair him up with his partner in the bot lane.

TEAM

EDG: Through 2 games EDG have secured 100% of the dragons and over half of the barons. Stacking dragons is a great way to secure points in the team slot as well as being advatagous for the team. EDG are the largest favorites on the slate.

RNG: HLE really isn't a great team and going up against one of the top teams in the tournament will really expose that. RNG hhas secured 75% of dragons and 67% of barons which are both better percentages then HLE. If looking for a cheap option in the team slot, the Mad Lions looked much better and are worth taking a shot on.

Final Thoughts

PSG/FNC is the game to target as PSG is priced well on this slate and FNC have been taking any fight they can get and losing most of them. RNG continues to rack up kills and are in another good spot but are expensive so chose wisely. I would rank them Gala, Xiahou, Wei, Ming then Cryin. EDG is in a great spot up against an over matched DFM but are the most expensive options on DK. If i had to pick an upset, Mad Lions would be my choice. As always reach out to me on Twitter with any questions. Good luck to everyone.
