When Will Rhamondre Stevenson Return and Be Back? Fantasy Football Injury Update for Week 11 (2025)

Rhamondre Stevenson - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

When will Rhamondre Stevenson return and play? Will Rhamondre Stevenson be back again this season? Read the latest Rhamondre Stevenson injury updates and return date for Week 11 (2025).

New England Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson (toe) missed his first game of the season in Week 10 due to a toe injury. Injuries are becoming a recurring part of his game each season, as he played 15 of a possible 17 games last year and just 12 in 2023.

Stevenson has been a mercurial fantasy asset this season. While he sometimes has excellent games, he more often puts up single-digit point performances, even in full-PPR leagues. He's also dealt with fumbling issues this season and last.

But when will he be able to return from injury, and what's his fantasy football outlook when he comes back?

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Rhamondre Stevenson Injury Update

The toe injury that has him sidelined hasn't been fully divulged to the media yet. The most common injury players face is turf toe, which is a sprain to one of the ligaments in the big toe. Those can be very frustrating issues and take a long time to heal.

The Patriots will play on Thursday Night Football, so this is a short week for him to recover. Considering that he didn't practice at all last week, things aren't looking super great. Today, at practice, he was seen working off on the side, testing his injured toe by running around a bit.

This indicates that he'll likely be designated as a "DNP", which isn't good news. He'd need to upgrade to at least limited practice to be in consideration for playing in Week 11. The problem is, the Patriots play on Thursday, so he has less time to recover.

And there are reasons to believe the Patriots aren't willing to risk it with him. His backup, TreVeyon Henderson, had a nice game in Week 10, and opting to take things slower with Stevenson on a short week makes sense for his long-term health.

I don't expect him to play in Week 11, but think that a Week 12 return makes sense.

Rhamondre Stevenson Fantasy Football Outlook

There probably is no outlook for Week 10. The multitude of injuries at the RB position will make Henderson get the vast majority of the backfield work, most likely. RB Antonio Gibson (knee) is on injured reserve and will miss the rest of the season, and Terrell Jennings (knee) likely isn't practicing Tuesday either.

Jennings, like Stevenson, will probably be held out in Week 11. As far as for the rest of the season, while many might think that Stevenson will completely lose his role in the backfield, that doesn't make much sense. Henderson had a few big runs on well-blocked plays in Week 11, but he's played very poorly on inside runs.

Stevenson is bigger, more powerful, and much better suited as an inside runner. There won't always be games where the Patriots offensive line completely dominates their competition, so it still makes sense to use him. And the Patriots still preferred to use Jennings or Stevenson at the goal line.

Henderson is not a powerful runner. He's an explosive athlete, but he has to have plenty of space to work, and against better defenses, it's much harder to create wide open lanes to run through. Stevenson will maintain a bit of value, especially in non-PPR leagues, but he's a touchdown-dependent RB3.
