When will Kayshon Boutte return and play? Will Kayshon Boutte be back again this season? Read the latest Kayshon Boutte injury updates and return date for Week 11 (2025).
New England Patriots wide receiver Kayshon Boutte (hamstring) is dealing with a hamstring injury that sidelined him for his team's Week 10 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It's a shame, because he was right in the middle of a hot streak.
He had scored four touchdown catches in his previous three games, logging 26.3, 13.5, and 16.5 PPR fantasy points in those contests, and at minimum establishing himself as a nice scoring threat for quarterback Drake Maye.
Now, we'll have to wait for him to heal from his injury, and see how close to 100 percent he is when he's back. And hamstring injuries are extremely tricky -- they often stick around for a long time, even when players think they're back to full health. So when will Boutte return this season? Let's dive in.

Kayshon Boutte Injury Update
The latest update we have for Boutte is that he's been ruled OUT for his team's Thursday contest against the New York Jets. This shouldn't be a huge surprise. Teams often have plenty of motivation to not rush back their starting players from recurring injuries like those to the hamstring.
Boutte wasn't able to play in Week 10, either. There's a chance he could have returned if his team played on Sunday, but many players miss even longer stretches due to hamstring injuries. Playing it safe makes a lot of sense. The Patriots have a winning record and are facing a very bad New York Jets team.

Interestingly, Boutte has his own Discord server, in which he announced that his injury was a Grade 1 hamstring strain. He stated that he was hopeful to play in Week 10, but this was clearly an incredibly optimistic outlook, as how he can't play in Week 11 either.
He'll have plenty of time to rest before Week 12, and I anticipate him returning then. Week 13 would be the least optimistic case, but he hasn't been placed on injured reserve, so he doesn't have to miss four contests due to that. Him being held out past Week 13 seems incredibly unlikely unless he aggravates his aliment.
Kayshon Boutte Fantasy Football Outlook
Boutte was frustratingly inconsistent over the first part of the season. He appeared to break out in Week 1, when he caught six of his eight targets for 103 yards. But he followed that up with four straight games with three or fewer targets. He didn't score double-digit PPR fantasy points again until Week 6.
In general, it seems hard to trust Boutte in games where he doesn't get a touchdown. The WR rotation in New England has featured Maye spreading the ball around ton a ton of different targets, including tight ends and running backs too. It's been frustrating to have any of their pass-catchers in fantasy this year.
Drake Maye's 39-yard TD pass to Kayshon Boutte traveled 52.6 yards in the air, Maye's 2nd of the season over 50 yards by air distance.

Still, it's hard not to imagine that he could be settling in to the new offense. Often, players who show high efficiency, and an ability to score often, get bigger roles as the season goes on. Boutte should at least be clearly ahead of WR Mack Hollins in the target priority for Maye.
Rookie WR Kyle Williams scored a 72-yard touchdown on his only catch in Week 10, so we could see him carve out a larger role. And Hollins has, at times, genuinely been a solid separator, and an asset in the run game. With WR Stefon Diggs in town, this unfortunately remains a weirdly crowded WR room.
Boutte makes sense as a flex if you need him. He's just not been very consistent this year. We'll have to see how things shake out, but at minimum he's a bench stash, so he shouldn't be dropped yet.
