Neither fighter was particularly offensive in the first round, but it could be said that Borralho took the first round after pinning Imavov's back to the fence. However, Imavov started to push the pace in the second round, and it was evident that Imavov's striking is one step above Borralho's as Borralho was outpointed and outclassed. In 25 minutes of action, Borralho landed 66 significant strikes. With the loss, Borralho dropped to 17-2 as a pro and is now 7-1 in the UFC.

Mauricio Ruffy suffered a second-round submission loss to Benoit Saint Denis in the co-main event of UFC Paris on Saturday. On Saturday, Benoit Saint Denis won back-to-back fights by defeating Mauricio Ruffy via second-round submission in the co-main event of UFC Paris. Saint Denis landed an early takedown and was able to control the majority of the opening round. In the second round, Saint Denis got Ruffy's back, looked to secure the rear-naked choke and soon after, he did just that, submitting Ruffy via rear-naked choke. In 7:56 of action, Saint Denis landed three takedowns and 17 significant strikes. With the win, Saint Denis improved to 15-3 as a pro and is now 7-3 in the UFC.

On Saturday, UFC veteran Paul Craig retired after his first-round knockout loss to Modestas Bukauskas on the main card of UFC Paris. There wasn't much Craig could do as he was outclassed on the feet and hurt on a few occasions before getting finished. Near the end of the opening round, Bukauskas unleashed a barrage of elbows on Craig that busted him open. Bukauskas stood up when the bell rang, but Craig didn't, as he was knocked out. Craig retired with a pro record of 17-10-1 with one NC and with a UFC record of 9-10-1 with one NC.
