DJ Lagway Likely Out for Week 2
Baylor quarterback DJ Lagway (ankle) is not expected to play in Week 2 against Prairie View A&M. He has a high ankle sprain, and while he's been trying to battle through it, sources told On3 that Lagway is viewed as doubtful for the team's second game. Lagway had an up-and-down showing in a Week 1 loss to Auburn. The quarterback completed half of his 54 passes for 333 yards and two touchdowns, but he was picked off once as well. Lagway didn't do anything on the ground. Nate Bennett, Edward Griffin and Quinn Murphy are backup QB options for the Bears. If one of those three is eventually named this week's starter, there could be some fantasy appeal with them going into such a favorable Week 2 matchup.
