The Chicago Bears are acquiring defensive end Joe Tryon-Shoyinka and a seventh-round draft pick from the Cleveland Browns on Tuesday in exchange for a sixth-rounder, sources tell ESPN's Adam Schefter. The move to acquire pass-rusher Tryon-Shoyinka was made after the Bears learned that standout defensive end Dayo Odeyington suffered a season-ending torn Achilles in Sunday's win over the Cincinnati Bengals. The 26-year-old Tryon-Shoyinka, who was the 32nd overall pick by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers back in 2021 out of the University of Washington, recorded only nine tackles (five solo) in his first eight games with the Browns this year. However, he did have 15 sacks in 66 games (45 starts) in his first four years in the NFL in Tampa. Tryon-Shoyinka should have a bigger role the rest of the year in Chicago.--Keith Hernandez
