Should I start Khalil Shakir, Jordan Addison, Deebo Samuel Sr. for Week 10? Fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks and recommendations for the 2025 NFL season.
It would be nice to have a trio of wide receivers like CeeDee Lamb, Rashee Rice, and Tee Higgins on your fantasy football teams. That way you'd hardly have to worry about who to start and just roll the three out each week.
Well... until bye weeks come! Those three are all on bye and won't play this week. Neither will a lot of other key WRs on bye or dealing with injuries. In these cases and more, you'll have to turn to receivers in the WR2/WR3 range to put in your fantasy football starting lineups.
Like Buffalo Bills slot receiver Khalil Shakir, Minnesota Vikings WR Jordan Addison, and Washington Commanders wide receiver Deebo Samuel Sr. None of them crack WR1 territory, but all are potential starting options this week -- so should you start them?

Should I Start Khalil Shakir for Fantasy Football?
Shakir's target volume has been pretty nice in recent weeks. He's logged five, nine, five, seven, and eight targets in his last five contests, and has scored double-digit PPR fantasy points in all of them. He's a more talented player than his scoring would suggest, but at least it's been nice recently.
Buffalo is an incredibly run-heavy team, and they prefer to run much of the offense through running back James Cook and quarterback Josh Allen on the ground. With Shakir playing in the slot, he doesn't exactly dominate playing time -- his highest snap rate of the season was 71 percent, in Week 1.

I'm continually suprised that he's not used more in the passing game. He's very talented at picking up extra yards after the catch, and can turn them into big plays. The Bills probably should have used him more in Week 6, when they lost to the Atlanta Falcons.
Against the Miami Dolphins in Week 10, anything could happen. The game could be competitive, which would be good for Shakir, or it could be a blowout, in which case he might not get much work. Still, he's a fine flex option in 12-team PPR leagues and can be started as such.
Should I Start Jordan Addison for Fantasy Football?
Addison looked like he might be a dark-horse steal in 2025 fantasy drafts after his first few games back from suspension. With quarterback Carson Wentz (shoulder) throwing him the ball, he logged games of 15.4, 15.1, and 21.8 PPR fantasy points. He was the most productive Vikings pass-catcher over that stretch.
The return of quarterback J.J. McCarthy after Wentz's injury seems to have nerfed his upside. Addison has 11.6 and 8.4 points in his last two games. The Vikings have clearly run the ball much more heavily when McCarthy's been starting than they did with Wentz.

He was held back by Wentz, but he's held back by McCarthy even more, unfortunately. Doesn't help that the scheme is adjusted to not have him pass as much. Addison is a low-end flex player for now in PPR leagues with 12 or more teams. You'll have to hope McCarthy takes some strides.
Should I Start Deebo Samuel Sr. for Fantasy Football?
Samuel has been absolutely abysmal to have in fantasy football leagues this year when his starting quarterback, Jayden Daniels (elbow) isn't playing. And Daniels is likely set to miss at least a few weeks, because he suffered a dislocated elbow in last week's game against the Seattle Seahawks.
That's been true in some of the games that Daniels has played, too. It's becoming clear that Samuel won't be the easy slam-dunk starter he was projected to be, as Washington's offense is collapsing behind the lack of a run game and injuries to Daniels and their WR1, Terry McLaurin (quad).

The Commanders will face the porous Detroit Lions secondary in Week 10, but Samuel's athleticism has clearly faded, and Washington's backup quarterback, Marcus Mariota, has struggled to push the ball down the field accurately. It's looking like it will be a miserable blowout loss for Washington.
That makes Samuel hard to trust, especially since he's struggled with drops recently. A low-end flex in 12-team PPR leagues with plenty of risk is what you should start him as, but there are probably better options on your roster.
