Today, we'll take a look at some hot prospects in the minors, including Mike Sirota, Robby Snelling, Cole Carrigg, Herick Hernandez, and Caleb Bonemer.

Can you believe we're already into May and the season is more than a month old? There have been plenty of major storylines and big games in the majors already, but we should also acknowledge all the standout fantasy baseball prospect performances across levels of affiliated ball in the minors.

Mike Sirota, OF, Los Angeles Dodgers

Level: High-A
2026 stats: 24 G, .329/.481/.683, 6 HR, 15 RBI, 26 R, 4 SB, 19.8% BB%, 19.8% K%, .382 BABIP, .511 wOBA, 192 wRC+

The Reds initially selected Sirota, a Northeastern product, in the third round of the 2024 MLB Draft. However, they sent him to Los Angeles in a trade for Gavin Lux, giving the Dodgers a talented outfield prospect to develop behind a star-studded major league roster.

Sirota uses his quick hands to generate impressive bat speed, resulting in high exit velocities. This has translated to plenty of power, including doubles and home runs. He has also demonstrated advanced plate discipline with an 18.3% walk rate since being drafted, albeit against lower levels of pitching. He runs well and projects as someone who can make a big fantasy impact with a blend of home runs and stolen bases.

Last week, Sirota went 8-for-15 with four home runs, two doubles, seven RBI, six walks, and just two strikeouts. It was yet another impressive stretch for the outfield prospect in which he flashed power, plate discipline, and speed. Between his third-round draft stock and his impressive track record, Sirota projects as a high-value major league starter someday.

Robby Snelling, LHP, Miami Marlins

Level: Triple-A
2026 stats: 6 G, 6 GS, 3-1, 29.0 IP, 1.86 ERA, 2.65 xFIP, 13.66 K/9, 4.66 BB/9, 0.62 HR/9, 56.9% GB%, .184 BABIP

The Padres originally selected Snelling with the 39th overall pick back in 2022, giving him a $3 million signing bonus. However, he was shipped off to Miami in 2024 as a key piece in the return package for Tanner Scott and Bryan Hoeing.

Snelling is a strikeout machine who gets a ton of in-zone whiff. He has three plus pitches in his arsenal, but the best is a mid-90s fastball with more than 18" of induced vertical break. He uses the heater more than 50% of the time, generating a mere .146 xBA. His changeup and slider have each generated whiff rates north of 40%, giving him multiple options for put-away pitches.

In his latest start last Friday, Snelling tossed five scoreless, no-hit innings. He allowed just one walk, and nine of his 15 outs came via the strikeout. He earned the win, dropped his season ERA to a phenomenal mark of 1.86, and raised his season strikeout rate to 13.66 K/9. It would come as no surprise to see Snelling make his MLB debut sometime this month.

Cole Carrigg, OF, Colorado Rockies

Level: Triple-A
2026 stats: 31 G, .378/.435/.546, 2 HR, 25 RBI, 29 R, 19 SB, 7.6% BB%, 14.4% K%, .439 BABIP, .444 wOBA, 144 wRC+

The Rockies selected Carrigg, a San Diego State product, with the 65th overall pick in the 2023 MLB Draft. He signed for $1.3 million and has been worth every penny, consistently producing at all levels of the minors.

Carrigg has been aggressive, but he also knows his zone, posting a 74.2% in-zone swing rate (86th percentile) this year. He's not striking out much, and he's capable of making loud contact with a maximum exit velocity of 110.1 mph (77th percentile). The 23-year-old is mostly a pull-side hitter, and he's tapped into modest power with 15+ homers in each of his last two minor league seasons.

Last week, Carrigg went 14-for-24 with one home run, two doubles, one triple, and eight RBI. He also had two walks, three strikeouts, and four stolen bases — largely thanks to a three-steal effort on Wednesday. Carrigg's bat-to-ball skills and rare speed profile give him the tools necessary to succeed at the next level. He should make his MLB debut by the end of June.

Herick Hernandez, LHP, Atlanta Braves

Level: Double-A
2026 stats: 5 G, 5 GS, 0-1, 19.2 IP, 1.83 ERA, 4.07 FIP, 13.27 K/9, 5.49 BB/9, 0.92 HR/9, 25.6% GB%, .262 BABIP

The Braves selected Hernandez, a University of Miami product, in the fourth round of the 2024 MLB Draft. He fetched a $472,500 signing bonus and has been effective in limiting runs ever since his pro debut, but he could benefit from improving his control.

Hernandez is a 5-foot-10 southpaw who headlines his repertoire with a four-seam fastball. He effectively elevates the heater, getting nearly 20" of induced vertical break with the ability to miss bats up in the zone. He complements the fastball with a slider, curveball, and changeup down in the zone. Of that group, the slider is the most effective, generating significant horizontal break while missing bats in and out of the zone.

Hernandez went seven innings last Thursday, allowing zero runs, one hit, and zero walks. He also struck out nine batters. The high of his great outing was short-lived, though, as Hernandez landed on the seven-day injured list shortly after. Hopefully, the injury isn't serious, and he can return to the mound soon.

Caleb Bonemer, SS, Chicago White Sox

Level: High-A
2026 stats: 26 G, .289/.426/.722, 11 HR, 27 RBI, 27 R, 16 SB, 13.9% BB%, 30.3% K%, .340 BABIP, .490 wOBA, 192 wRC+

The White Sox spent an early second-round pick on Bonemer in the 2024 MLB Draft. At the time, he was a promising prep infield prospect, and Chicago gave him a $3 million signing bonus that lured him away from his commitment to Virginia.

Bonemer, who is widely regarded as the White Sox' top prospect, has a swing that is direct to the baseball, producing plenty of hard contact and high exit velocities. He has demonstrated strong plate discipline in the past, so hopefully his 30.3% strikeout rate so far in 2026 is merely a fluke. The 20-year-old swiped 29 bags last year but isn't overly rangy, so we could see him at third base long-term.

Last week, Bonemer went 8-for-23 with four home runs, eight RBI, seven walks, and 10 strikeouts. He also stole a base. The strikeout rate continues to be a concern, but it's a fair sacrifice if he also continues to hit home runs and walk frequently. That type of profile could translate nicely to fantasy baseball, where he's an intriguing prospect to monitor in dynasty leagues.
