NHL DFS Lineup Picks for DraftKings: Goalies, Value Plays, Stacks, and Power Plays Picks (11/28/25)

Macklin Celebrini - Fantasy Hockey Rankings, NHL DFS Picks, DFS Hockey

Get today's top DraftKings daily fantasy hockey lineup picks for November 28, 2025. Doug's expert NHL DFS goalies picks, value plays, stacks, and power play picks.

I hope everyone had a safe and happy Thanksgiving yesterday. Today’s 12-game slate starts three hours earlier than usual, at 4 p.m. EST. More than half of the games begin in this window, so make sure to get your lineups in before you dig into your leftovers.

The slate starts hot with a potential shootout in Anaheim, as the high-flying Ducks host a dangerous Los Angeles Kings squad. New Jersey and Buffalo could match those fireworks on the East Coast, with both defenses playing poorly. The night caps off with a plucky Blackhawks team welcoming a reeling Nashville squad to Chicago. There’s a lot to like in this game on Chicago’s side.

I aim to help you narrow your plays to get the most bang for your DFS buck. NHL Premium members can find members of the RotoBaller NHL family on Discord, where our chat is always active. I'll bring my NHL lineup picks, analysis, and advice for NHL DFS contests on DraftKings for Friday, November 28, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. ET. NHL DFS Analysis And Picks For 11/28/25

New York Islanders (NYI1 - Mathew Barzal, Jonathan Drouin, Anders Lee; $13900 DK)

Defensive Addition: Matthew Schaefer ($5600 DK)

The Islanders have seemingly struggled at home, scoring just 2.35 even-strength goals per 60 minutes over their prior 10 games, but that number doesn’t tell the entire story. That 2.35 number is 0.57 goals below expectations in those games, suggesting the team should see some positive regression in the coming games.

That regression could come as soon as tonight, facing a Flyers squad that has allowed 2.94 even-strength goals per 60 minutes over their past 10 road games. Goalie Dan Vladar has played well this year, but he’s giving up nearly half a goal more per game on the road than he does at home. The biggest issue for Philly is on defense, where their pairing of Jamie Drysdale and Emil Andrae has been terrible.

They have allowed a slate-high 3.97 goals and 23.51 high-danger chances per 60 minutes, making them the pairing to pick on tonight. We want to use the Islanders' top line of Mathew Barzal, Jonathan Drouin, and Anders Lee. Make sure to include Matthew Schaefer in your New York stack; he's one of the most offensively aggressive defenders in the league, and he gets power-play time with Barzal and Drouin.

San Jose Sharks (SJ1 - Macklin Celebrini, Will Smith, William Eklund; $18500 DK)

Defensive Addition: Dmitry Orlov ($3100 DK)

You can go in many directions with San Jose tonight as they take on a Vancouver team that has multiple defensive pairings that can be attacked. If you want to use the Sharks as one of your main stacks, then use their top line of Macklin Celebrini, Will Smith, and William Eklund. They are a lot pricier than the other San Jose lines, but their upside is also significantly higher.

Celebrini is one of the best players in fantasy, averaging just under 16 DraftKings points per game. Eklund and Smith, who combine to average nearly 19 points, are priced very well for that kind of production. This line has the second-best matchup on the team, but Celebrini’s upside is what makes them the better play.

They’ll square off against Vancouver’s defensive pairing of Quinn Hughes and Filip Hronek, who have allowed 3.3 expected goals, 35.43 scoring chances, and 18.4 high-danger chances on the road in the team’s past 10 games. Jiri Patera is scheduled to be the goalie for the Canucks, and he allowed seven goals in his only start for the team this year.

New Jersey Devils (NJD1 - Timo Meier, Jesper Bratt, Nico Hischier; $19900 DK)

Defensive Addition: Dougie Hamilton ($5700)

Even without star forward Jack Hughes, the Devils still have one of the more dangerous top lines in hockey. Timo Meier, Jesper Bratt, and Nico Hischier average nearly 34 DraftKings points per game, which is one of the highest averages of all top stacks on tonight’s slate.

They’re playing great hockey at the moment, combining for 30 shots on goal and 17 goals and assists over their past three games. Defender Dougie Hamilton joins them on the power play, and his average of nearly 10 DraftKings points per game makes him a great addition to your New Jersey stack.

Tonight, the team will head to Buffalo to take on a Sabres team that hasn’t been great defensively this year. Goalie Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen has allowed three or more goals in five of seven starts this year, including in half of his home starts. Their defensive pairing of Owen Power and Jacob Bryson has allowed 3.63 expected goals and 16.26 high-danger chances per 60 minutes over their past 10 home games; not a good combination against a team playing as well as New Jersey.

NHL DFS Value Stack of the Night

San Jose Sharks (SJ2 - Tyler Toffoli, Alex Wennberg, Philipp Kurashev; $10400 DK)

I mentioned earlier how good the matchup is for multiple Sharks lines tonight, and their second line is the other one we want to focus on. If you’re looking to spend up on a team like the Devils as your main stack, then you’ll need your second stack to be a lot cheaper, and that’s where this line comes in.

Tyler Toffoli, Alex Wennberg, and Philipp Kurashev don’t have nearly the upside of their top-line counterparts. At just over $10000, their 20 DraftKings points per game average is more than reasonable if your main stack hits big, so they don’t need to put up the exact numbers of Celebrini and company…and they may actually have the better matchup.

Obviously, they get to face the same goalie, but they’ll spend more of their time on the ice against the defensive pairing of Tyler Myers and Marcus Pettersson. They have given up 3.66 expected goals, 14.61 high-danger chances, and a slate-high 40.17 scoring chances on the road over the team’s past 10 games. I prefer to try to build a lineup with San Jose’s top line, but if you’re using multiple lines tonight, it’s not a terrible idea to hedge with their second line and another top stack.

NHL DFS Goalie to Target

Spencer Knight (CHI - $8000 DK)

It feels like I’ve been ping-ponging this year between Spencer Knight and Yaroslav Aksarov, with Knight jumping back into position as our top goalie option tonight. He didn’t have a great game on Wednesday night, allowing four goals, but before that, he’d given up three or fewer in six of seven games. In those games, he’d scored double-digit DraftKings points six times, with three games of more than 20 fantasy points.

That upside is very appealing, and it’s always available because the Blackhawks allow over 30 shots per game. Tonight, Chicago plays against a Nashville squad that has allowed the second-most points to opposing goalies on the season. They’ve only scored 2.08 even-strength goals per 60 minutes on the road, while applying slight pressure on opposing goalies with fewer than 11 high-danger chances per 60 minutes.

Even if Nashville ups its pressure, Knight has saved an outstanding 85% of the high-danger shots he’s faced at home over the team’s previous 15 games. He’s a top cash game option, and his $8000 price point shouldn’t be too prohibitive in tournaments.

Others in consideration: Jake Oettinger (DAL), Ilya Sorokin (NYI), Yaroslav Askarov (SJ), Logan Thompson (WSH)
