NHL DFS Lineup Picks for DraftKings: Goalies, Value Plays, Stacks, and Power Plays Picks (11/15/25)

alex ovechkin NHL DFS lineup picks daily fantasy hockey draftkings fanduel

Get today's top DraftKings daily fantasy hockey lineup picks for November 15, 2025. Doug's expert NHL DFS goalies picks, value plays, stacks, and power play picks.

Tonight's 11-game slate starts an hour earlier than usual, at 6:00 p.m. ET, but it's worth it as we have a fun one as Anaheim's fantasy carnival makes a stop in Minnesota to face the Wild. This one could get out of control, with both teams looking strong for fantasy purposes. The rest of the slate kicks off at 7:00 p.m. ET, highlighted by the Rangers looking to continue their surge against the Blue Jackets in Columbus.

Two games start in the 10:00 p.m. ET window, with Yaroslav Askarov and the San Jose Sharks heading to Seattle to face the Kraken and the Jets facing off with the Flames in Calgary. Askarov is on one of the best goalie runs in recent history, making these seemingly mundane games a little more exciting than they initially appear.

NHL DFS Analysis And Picks For 11/15/25

Detroit Red Wings (DET1 - Dylan Larkin, Lucas Raymond, Alex DeBrincat; $21700 DK)

Defensive Addition: Moritz Seider ($5900 DK)

The Red Wings may have found the offensive spark they were looking for when they added Alex DeBrincat alongside Dylan Larkin and Lucas Raymond on their top line. Detroit put up six goals on Thursday night, with this trio accounting for seven combined goals and assists and 12 shots on goal. That game marked the sixth straight where Larkin took at least three shots, and it was the fifteenth time in 17 games where DeBrincat did the same.

Tonight’s matchup against Buffalo is outstanding. Goalie Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen has allowed at least three goals in three of his four starts, saving 70% of the high-danger shots he’s faced. Their defensive pairing of Bowen Byram and Conor Timmins has been awful on the road.

They have combined to allow 4.04 expected goals, 47.74 scoring chances, and 21.06 high-danger chances per 60 minutes. They’ll spend a massive percentage of their time up against Larkin’s line, making that line the most appealing in tournaments on tonight’s slate.

Washington Capitals (WSH1 -Dylan Strome, Alex Ovechkin, Anthony Beauvillier; $14600 DK)

Defensive Addition: Jakub Chychrun ($5700 DK)

Washington’s matchup tonight is nearly as good as Detroit’s, as they’ll face a New Jersey defense that can’t stop anyone on the road, allowing 3.37 even-strength goals per 60 minutes. Their defensive pairing of Simon Nemec and Jonas Siegenthaler has allowed 4.56 expected goals and 15.56 high-danger chances per 60 minutes on the road. Goalie Jacob Markstrom has stopped just 75% of the high-danger shots he’s faced on the road, putting him in a most precarious position.

Washington has been a wagon at home this year, averaging 15.16 high-danger chances per 60 minutes. They’ve run into strong goaltending, resulting in them scoring nearly an entire goal fewer than expected, meaning a massive breakout is on the horizon. Alex Ovechkin is having a bit of a down season, but he can break out at any time.

Dylan Strome and Anthony Beauvillier, on the other hand, are playing very well, with Strome averaging one combined goal and assist per game, and Beauvillier taking at least three shots on goal in five of his prior seven games. At just $8400 combined, they are a great value that allows you to build a balanced roster in tournaments.

New York Rangers (NYR1 - Mika Zibanejad, J.T. Miller, Gabe Perreault; $15400 DK)

Defensive Addition: Adam Fox ($6100 DK)

It could be as simple as adding Vincent Trocheck back into the lineup for the Rangers. Since his return, New York has scored 13 goals in two games. Although Trocheck’s line doesn’t feature in today’s article, the team remains in a great spot, and we will look to their first line to get us across the line. Mike Zibanejad, J.T. Miller, and Gabe Perreault have a great matchup tonight, and it seems to be their turn to put some goals in the back of the net.

They’ll line up against the defensive pairing of Zach Werenski and Ivan Provorov of the Blue Jackets. That duo has combined to allow 2.97 expected goals and 36.27 scoring chances per 60 minutes at home this year, by far the worst on the team. Goalie Elvis Merzlikins has saved an unsustainable 92% of high-danger shots he’s faced at home.

As a team, Columbus has given up a third of a goal fewer per game than expected, while surrendering a healthy 12.66 high-danger chances; numbers that suggest they are due for negative regression. With how well the Rangers are playing offensively (3.1 even-strength goals per 60 minutes on the road), I want to be on the right side of the ice when that regression hits.

NHL DFS Value Stack of the Night

Boston Bruins (BOS2 - Pavel Zacha, Alex Steeves, Viktor Arvidsson; $11200 DK)

It’s relatively easy to create a lineup that doesn’t require any value stacks tonight, making them less of a priority than when we have a team like Colorado on the main slate. Still, if you want to build an uncorrelated lineup of stars and scrubs, then a team like Boston is a good place to look for a few value pieces. Their second line, featuring Pavel Zacha, Alex Steeves, and Viktor Arvidsson, has been playing well and is in a good spot tonight on the road in Montreal.

The Canadiens have allowed 3.4 even-strength goals per 60 minutes at home this season, which is a number we can definitely take advantage of. Goalie Sam Montembeault has struggled when faced with pressure, saving just 67% of the high-danger shots he’s faced.

Their defensive pairing of Lane Hutson and Jayden Struble has surrendered 3.66 goals, 31.03 scoring chances, and nearly 12 high-danger chances per 60 minutes at home. That helps give Boston one of the better matchups on the slate tonight from a value perspective.

NHL DFS Goalie to Target

Yaroslav Askarov (SJ - $7300 DK)

Although he didn’t win the game on Thursday night, nor did he get the 35-save bonus, Yaroslav Askarov still managed to score at least 20 DraftKings points for the fifth straight game. This is easily one of the best runs any goalie has gone on this season, and one we are going to ride until it dies.

Askarov has saved at least 94% of the shots he’s faced in each of those games, saving over 96% in four. He’s allowed just six goals and has saved at least 28 shots in all five of the games, three times going over 30 saves.

Tonight, he faces a Seattle squad who have scored just 1.91 even-strength goals per 60 minutes at home this season, accumulating only 8.32 high-danger chances per game. The biggest issue facing Askarov tonight from a fantasy perspective is that the Kraken take just 25 shots per game, but given how he’s playing, I’m not benching Askarov at his rock-bottom price point.

Others in consideration: Logan Thompson (WSH), Igor Shesterkin (NYR), Jake Oettinger (DAL)
