DraftKings CFB DFS Lineup Picks: Daily Fantasy College Football (10/22/21)

Mike Marteny's DraftKings daily fantasy college football lineup picks for 10/22/21. His CFB DFS lineup picks and DFS sleepers will help you win big.

We have a pretty busy Friday night as well before Saturday's extravaganza. We have four games tonight in the college football universe. We start early with Middle Tennessee State heading up to Hartford to take on UConn. As night falls, Memphis heads down to the Bounce House to take on the beaten up Central Florida team.

We close off with a couple of games out West. First, we have Colorado State heading over the Logan in what has become an interesting rivalry. We close out with some Pac 12 action with Arizona, still looking for that elusive win, hosting Washington. This is going to be a high-scoring one!

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for DraftKings on 10/22/21 locking at 6 pm eastern. I’ll be providing multiple player suggestions for players at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option apiece at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CFB DFS Quarterbacks

Seth Henigan, Memphis ($9,000)

Henigan only threw 12 passes against Navy, completing eight of them. Those eight completions still netted 215 yards and two touchdowns. He'll need to throw more passes against UCF (maybe), so his upside is tangible. He threw 57 passes in week 6 against Tulsa and had three straight 300+ yard passing games before the Navy game. If nothing else, Henigan proved that he doesn't need a ton of volume to still put up a good total. He's hard to fade in cash games, but there is the chance that Memphis will run for much of the second half if they get up big again.

Chase Cunningham, Middle Tennessee State ($7,100)

Cunningham has thrown for 714 yards and nine touchdowns with only two interceptions in his three games as a starter. The MTSU run game has been kind of a mess this year. They will try to get on track against UConn, but I still see the Blue Raiders using this game to let Cunningham explore the offense a little more. This game will never be in question, but the Blue Raiders may keep him out there for at least three quarters anyway to get him more reps. There is still upside here.

Dylan Morris, Washington ($6,500)

This is still a tough one even though Arizona is winless. For the most part, the defense hasn't been the issue for the Wildcats. Washington has had trouble running the ball and I think they will try to take this chance to get Morris back into his comfort zone. Both Oregon State and UCLA tested him big time in close losses. I expect the Huskies to try and get Morris his confidence back, which could me a larger workload than normal. What he does with it is anyone's guess.

Also consider: Logan Bonner, Utah State ($7,700); Todd Centeio, Colorado State ($7,400); Mikey Keene, Central Florida ($6,100)

DraftKings CFB DFS Running Backs

Brandon Thomas, Memphis ($6,800)

UCF holding Boise to 20 rushing yards in the opener is a distant memory. They were split wide open by both Navy and Cincinnati, who both gouged them for over 300 yards. This isn't your normal Memphis run game, but Thomas has proven to be a capable runner so far for the Tigers. He has yet to hit triple digits, but he has scored three touchdowns in the last two games. Memphis has proven they will take the air out of the ball if they get a big lead. This feels like the most likely scenario to me here.

David Bailey, Colorado State ($6,000)

The Boston College transfer followed Steve Addazio to Fort Collins and it has been a mostly fruitful trip for him. He piled up two touchdowns against New Mexico last week after a forgettable game against Iowa. With Bailey fully healthy, this is a big spot for him. Utah State has allowed six rushing touchdowns in the last two games, not to mention the 440 yards. The Rams have no issue committing to the run with talented backs like Bailey and A'Jon Vivens. I like both of them here.

Chaton Mobley, Middle Tennessee State ($4,900)

Mobley led the Blue Raiders in rushing against Liberty in Week 6 with eight yards. EIGHT! That highlights how forgettable that game was for the entire offense. The unit will forget tonight against UConn, one of the worst teams on the planet at any level. Mobley ran for 132 yards against Marshall, so he has it in him to put together a strong game. If he's ever going to again, it will be here.

Also consider: Isaiah Bowser, Central Florida ($6,500); Kamari Pleasant, Washington ($5,500); Michael Wiley, Arizona ($4,400); Marquavius Weaver, Memphis ($3,500)

DraftKings CFB DFS Wide Receivers

Calvin Austin III, Memphis ($9,200)

Austin was an afterthought in the passing game against Navy, but he still had a 69-yard rushing touchdown on a jet sweep to help salvage his day. Of course, with the price this high, we need more than the bare minimum from him. I do expect more from the Memphis aerial show here against UCF, but don't expect a ceiling game either. I don't see the Knights hanging around.

Deven Thompkins, Utah State ($8,700)

Only Boise State has succeeded in slowing down Thompkins. He still hit double-digit DraftKings points, but Thompkins' low mark aside from that game is 24.8 in the opener against Washington State. He cleared 45 last week against UNLV. The ceiling is much higher on Thompkins here. His target share alone makes him the most likely to break the slate in a GPP, though Austin might be better suited for cash games.

Jarrin Pierce, Middle Tennessee State ($5,800)

The MTSU passing attack is still learning on the fly with a new quarterback installed mid-season, but it has worked out well for Pierce. He has a touchdown in four straight games. The yardage isn't always there, but it's nice to know that Chase Cunningham has a target on Pierce first in the red zone. That makes him less risky than his peers in the receiver room for MTSU.

Keelan Marion, Connecticut ($5,200)

The loss of Tyler Phommanchanh really hurt the UConn passing attack, but Marion has still managed to catch ten passes, including three touchdowns, over the last three games. He's the only UConn player that I would consider despite MTSU's defense being a work in progress. Marion is the only one that I feel I can trust in any capacity. If you're the riverboat gambler type, a couple of UConn pieces could be optimal in a large field GPP.

Also consider: Stanley Berryhill III, Arizona ($6,700); Ryan O'Keefe, Central Florida ($6,100); Sean Dykes, Memphis ($5,600); Rome Odunze, Washington ($4,600)
