No. 32 - Vancouver Canucks
Last Week Ranking - 32
As expected, the Canucks remain at the bottom of our list. This week, the Canucks had a three-game slate and managed to sneak out only one point during their shootout loss to the Nashville Predators. They fell to the Senators (2-0) in their first game and ended their week with a 5-2 loss to the Kraken on Saturday night.
They have yet to reach the 50-point mark and have won just two games over their last 10. They also carry a rough- 75 GD, which is nearly 30 goals worse than the No. 2-worst team in terms of goal differential.
No. 31 - Chicago Blackhawks
Last Week Ranking - 31
The Blackhawks began the week with two matches against the Mammoth and took care of business in both. On Monday, they took down Utah 3-2 in overtime and would defeat them by the same score a few days later on Thursday evening. However, their win streak would be snapped by the Golden Knights (4-0) on Saturday evening.
The Blackhawks are 3-5-2 in their last 10 games and remain 30th in the overall league standings. This week, Connor Bedard led the way as expected, totaling four points (one goal) in these three games.
No. 30 - Calgary Flames
Last Week Ranking - 28
The Flames had a busy four-game slate on the East Coast and exited with a 1-3 record. Their lone victory came in New Jersey on Thursday evening when they took down the Devils in a 5-4 showing. However, they would drop their other three games, all in regulation, to the Capitals, Rangers, and Islanders.
They have won just three of their last 10 contests, with six of them ending in a regulation loss. The lack of offensive output remains this club's weakness, as they are the only team in the league yet to score 170 goals this season.
No. 29 - New York Rangers
Last Week Ranking - 30
The Rangers have a busy four-game slate in Week 21 and posted a perfect 4-0 record. They took down the Flyers, Flames, Jets, and even the Wild to cap off their week with a combined 20-7 record. While they have had a disappointing campaign, this was one of their most impressive showings this season, and they are slowly climbing out of the Eastern Conference basement.
This week, much of their production came from young winger Gabe Perreault and Alexis Lafreniere. Both forwards combined for seven goals and 14 points over this four-game slate.

No. 28 - Toronto Maple Leafs
Last Week Ranking - 29
The Leafs fell down our rankings in a big way last week, but showed some progress in Week 21. They began the week with another loss, this time (3-1) to the Montreal Canadiens. However, they would rebound and pick up two points against the Ducks (6-4), thanks to a four-point effort by Matthew Knies.
Later in the week, they would fall to the top-heavy Sabres in a shootout, and on Sunday, they would pick up another two points, as they upset the Minnesota Wild on Sunday night. In this victory, Anthony Stolarz stood on his head, stopping 36 of the 38 shots he saw. While they turn in a solid week, they have won just two games in their last 10 and remain near the bottom of the Eastern Conference.
No. 27 - Florida Panthers
Last Week Ranking - 26
The Panthers ended last week with a massive 3-1 victory, keeping any postseason hopes alive. This week, they continued to stack points, going 2-0 to begin the week, making two on the Red Wings once again (4-3) and the Blue Jackets (2-1) in a massive overtime victory. However, on Sunday, the Panthers would see their brief surge come to an end as they took a 6-2 loss to the Seattle Kraken.
Since allowing eight goals in his first two starts of the month, Sergei Bobrovsky has been quite sharp, allowing just two goals in his last two outings while stopping 58 of the 60 shots he saw. Even after winning three of their last four games, the Panthers enter Week 22 at the bottom of the Atlantic Division in a bottom-2 spot in the Eastern Conference.
No. 26 - New Jersey Devils
Last Week Ranking - 23
The Devils had a short two-game slate this week and posted a 1-1 record. The week began with a 5-4 loss to the lowly Flames, but they bounced back, took down the Kings (6-4) on Saturday. In this victory, center Nico Hischier filled the statsheet, scoring two goals and adding two helpers.
They enter the new week with a 33-31-2 record, good for the second-lowest in the Eastern Conference. Next week, they will face three Eastern Conference teams: the Bruins, Rangers, and Capitals. Center Jack Hughes has continued to stay hot on the scoresheet, scoring five goals and adding seven helpers over his last nine games.
No. 25 - Winnipeg Jets
Last Week Ranking - 25
The Jets had a strong showing last week, picking up three straight victories. However, their struggles showed themselves once again in Week 21, as they dropped their opening two games of the week, falling to the Anaheim Ducks and the New York Rangers, who quietly put together an impressive past two weeks.
However, the Jets rebounded over their final two games, picking up victories against the Avalanche (3-1) and the Blues (3-2) on Sunday afternoon. They enter Week 22 with a 6-2-2 record in their last 10 and continue to trend upward.
No. 24 - St. Louis Blues
Last Week Ranking - 27
The Blues enjoyed a nice boost in our rankings last week and continued to find their way in Week 21, posting a 2-1-1 record. Their victories came against Eastern heavyweights, the Carolina Hurricanes and the Edmonton Oilers. They earned a loser point against the Islanders on Tuesday and took a regulation loss against the Jets on Sunday.
While this season has been very disappointing, a bright spot has been rookie forward Jimmy Snuggerud. The 21-year-old has tallied 11 points over eight games since the start of March, with five of them being goals.

No. 23 - Los Angeles Kings
Last Week Ranking - 24
Despite remaining in the playoff race (due to the Pacific Division's mediocrity), the Kings have not been able to stay near the top of the division. They have been unable to enjoy much extended success, but remain in the postseason conversation. While they picked up three points over the first two games of their week against the Blue Jackets (win) and Bruins (OT loss), they dropped their final two games in regulation.
This brings them to a 27-24-15 record. Despite their inconsistent play, they remain within reach of the Oilers and Kraken in their division and the Mammoth for the Wild Card, given the logjam in the Western Conference.
No. 22 - Nashville Predators
Last Week Ranking - 22
The Predators began the week with an impressive 4-2 victory over the Kraken to gain a massive two points in the Western Conference Wild Card race. In this game, netminder Juuse Saros put the team on his back, stopping 43 of the 45 shots he saw. In their second game of the week, they took a shootout loss to the lowly Canucks, but their point streak ended on Sunday as they fell 3-1 in regulation to the Oilers.
Nashville enters Week 22 only four points behind the Kraken for the final Wild Card in the conference. The Predators will face them again this week and could emerge as a serious playoff contender with another productive stretch.
No. 21 - Seattle Kraken
Last Week Ranking - 17
The Kraken fell in our rankings last week after dropping their final two games of the week. Unfortunately, it did not get much better for Seattle in Week 21, as they took two regulation losses to open the week. On Tuesday, they fell to the Predators (4-2) and would then drop another game to the Avalanche (5-1) on Thursday.
However, on the weekend, Seattle would flip the script, taking down two bottom teams to earn four important points, the Canucks (5-2) and Panthers (6-2). While they enter Week 22 in a Wild Card spot, their seat is getting warm as the Sharks, Kings, and Predators all remain just two games (or fewer) behind them.
No. 20 - Washington Capitals
Last Week Ranking - 20
The Capitals continue to just keep their head above the water in the Eastern playoff race. In Week 21, the Capitals picked up five out of their eight possible points and continue to make steady progress into the final weeks of the season. They picked up two victories against the Flames and red-hot Sabres, while adding their fifth point in a shootout loss to the Bruins.
They now sit tied with the Flyers at 74 points and only one point behind the Senators. Washington will have a massive tilt against the Senators on Sunday night, a game that could decide their playoff fate.
No. 19 - San Jose Sharks
Last Week Ranking - 21
The Sharks had a tough matchup to open the week against the high-flying Sabers and took a 6-3 loss. However, San Jose would bounce back in their next two games during their Eastern road trip, marching into Boston and Montreal and picking up all four points. In these two victories, they won by a combined 8-4 score.
However, on Sunday, their brief winning streak would be snapped by the Senators in a tough 7-4 loss. Despite this, they still carry a solid 5-3-2 record over their last 10 games and remain within striking distance of a playoff spot. They will begin their new week with a massive tilt against the Oilers on Tuesday night.
No. 18 - Edmonton Oilers
Last Week Ranking - 19
The Oilers capped off last week with a statement 4-2 victory over their division rival, the Golden Knights, to earn a massive two points in the division race. They stayed hot to open Week 21, taking down the Avalanche (4-3) on Tuesday, but saw their surge come to an end at the hands of the red-hot Dallas Stars in a rough 7-2 loss.
However, they would take an overtime loss to the Blues on Friday to earn a point and cap off the week with an impressive 3-1 victory over the Predators on Sunday night. Connor McDavid turned in a stellar showing this week, tallying six points with two goals. He now enters the new week with 114 points and remains in a serious conversation to take home the Hart Trophy.
No. 17 - Vegas Golden Knights
Last Week Ranking - 16
The Golden Knights saw their slump continue early in the week when they fell to the Western-heavyweight Dallas Stars (2-1) on Tuesday evening. However, the Golden Knights bounced back in a big way to finish Week 21, picking up all four possible points against the Penguins (6-2) and Blackhawks (4-0).
They entered the new week with a 31-22-14 record, good for the second-highest in the Pacific Division. However, their inconsistent 4-6 record over their last 10 continues to keep them outside the top half of our list.
No. 16 - Detroit Red Wings
Last Week Ranking - 15
The Red Wings have been one of the biggest fallers since the start of March, and they saw a similar trend in Week 21. They had a three-game slate this week and managed to pick only one of their six points. They began their week with two regulation losses to the Panthers and Lightning, before falling to the Stars in overtime (3-2) on Saturday.
They have now won just three of their last 10 games and dropped five of them in regulation. After looking like a lock to make the postseason, they are quickly falling in the standings and trending towards becoming a Wild Card team in April. However, they will have an opportunity to make up much of the ground as they face the Bruins, Canadiens, Senators, and Sabers over the next two weeks.
No. 15 - Utah Mammoth
Last Week Ranking - 14
The Mammoth were riding a three-game winning streak in Week 21 but quickly saw their momentum snapped. They had a busy four-game slate but managed to escape with only two of their eight possible points, which is hurting them in their playoff pursuit. They picked up their overtime loss against the Blackhawks on Monday and Thursday, while falling to the Penguins and Wild in regulation.
Their schedule won't get much easier as they will face the Stars, Golden Knights, and Ducks in their next three games. They enter Week 22 with 74 points, putting them just above the Oilers, Sharks, and Kraken in the postseason race.
No. 14 - Philadelphia Flyers
Last Week Ranking - 18
Sitting just above these "low-end" playoff clubs in our rankings are the Flyers, who also picked up massive points as they look to push themselves into the Wild Card race. They had a four-game slate in Week 21 and picked up five of their eight possible points. While the week began with a regulation loss to the Rangers, they took down the points and Wild and took a loser point against the Blue Jackets on Saturday night.
Since allowing six goals to the Rangers back on Monday, Dan Vladar quickly flipped the script, stopping 48 of the 51 shots he saw over his final two games of the week.
No. 13 - Anaheim Ducks
Last Week Ranking - 9
The Ducks capped off last week with a tough 4-0 loss to the Blues and saw their inconsistent play linger in Week 21 as both the Golden Knights and the Oilers look to make up ground in the division. This week, they had a four-game slate and posted a modest 2-2 record. They began with a 4-1 victory over the lowly Winnipeg Jets but would drop their next two games, against the Leafs and Senators.
However, they would cap off their Eastern Canada trip with a massive 3-2 victory over the Canadiens on Sunday night. In this victory, Leo Carlsson and Troy Terry would combine for six points and three goals. Anaheim continues to hold the top spot in the Pacific Division, but the seat is getting warm.

No. 12 - Ottawa Senators
Last Week Ranking - 13
The Senators continue to put themselves in the Wild Card conversation. After enjoying a nice boost in our rankings last week, the Senators continued to soar, picking up six of their eight possible points in their busy four-game slate. Their lone regulation loss came on Wednesday night against the Canadiens.
However, their victories would come against the Sharks, Ducks, and Canucks, with their best showing coming on Sunday night, when they put seven pucks behind the net against the Sharks. The Senators have now won seven of their last 10 games while earning points in all but one. They are now just a game behind the Blue Jackets and Red Wings in the postseason race.
No. 11 - Pittsburgh Penguins
Last Week Ranking - 7
Even though the Penguins have been without both Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin, they have been rather inconsistent and took a slight dip in our rankings. This week, their shootout struggles reared their heads again against the Hurricanes in the final game on Tuesday. They have now gone 1-10 in the shootout this season.
They then moved out West to face the Golden Knights (6-2 loss) but bounced back on Saturday, taking down the Mammoth (4-3). The Penguins hold a 4-3-3 record in their last 10, and their lead for the No. 2 spot in the Metropolitan Division is quickly shrinking. Their schedule won't get much easier as they face the Avalanche to open Week 22 on Monday night.
No. 10 - Boston Bruins
Last Week Ranking - 10
The Bruins hold their spot within the top-10. This week, they continued to stack points, posting a 2-1 record with their lone loss coming at the hands of the Sharks (4-2) on Thursday evening. They took down the Capitals (in a shootout) and the Los Angeles Kings in overtime to pick up their four points.
They now sit with a strong 5-3-2 record over their last 10 and have recently tied the Red Wings and 80 points. Given their current trajectory, they could make a strong push to earn a top-3 spot in the Atlantic Division.
No. 9 - New York Islanders
Last Week Ranking - 11
The Islanders had an easier schedule this week and took care of business, posting a 2-1 record. They took down the lowly Blues and Flames, and the loss came at the hands of the Los Angeles Kings on Friday evening. They boast a strong 7-3 record over their last 10 and remain within striking distance of the Penguins for the No. 2 spot in the division.
While Matthew Schaefer has taken most of the headlines in New York, young winger Simon Holmstrom has outdone and led the way in their victory over the Flames, scoring two goals. He has now scored 16 goals in 65 games and remains on pace to set a new career high.
No. 8 - Tampa Bay Lightning
Last Week Ranking - 6
The Lightning ended Week 20 with a tough 8-7 loss to the Sabres, and their level of play has not improved much. Despite being one of the sport's dominant teams from the start of the first half and even holding the No. 1 spot in our rankings at one point, they have taken a major dip at the worst possible time.
This week, they posted a 1-2 record, with their one victory against the slumping Red Wings. They have won just three of their last 10 games and are quickly trending toward a Wild Card spot as they lose ground in a competitive Atlantic Division. However, they will have an upcoming favorable West Coast trip, which could get them back on track.
No. 7 - Minnesota Wild
Last Week Ranking - 5
After capping off last week with a tough shootout loss to the Avalanche, the Wild got back on track with a massive 5-0 statement victory over the Mammoth on Tuesday night. However, in their next three games, they would post a 0-2-1 record, falling to the Flyers in a shootout and then the Rangers and Leafs in regulation to cap off the weekend. Taking regulation losses to two of the worst teams in the Eastern Conference will move them down our rankings.
They have now posted a 4-4-2 record over their last 10 contests and are shaping up to clinch the No. 3 seed in the Central Division as both the Stars and Avalanche are running away with the top-2 spots. The Wild will open Week 22 with two matchups against the Blackhawks, which are prime "get-right" spots.
No. 6 - Columbus Blue Jackets
Last Week Ranking - 12
The Blue Jackets continued to stack points and are quickly climbing the Eastern Conference. This week, the Rick Bowness-led Jackets posted a 2-0-2 record and have not held a 5-1-4 record over their last 10 total games. This week, their overtime losses came at the hands of the Kings and Panthers while they took down the Flyers and Lightning.
They enter Week 22, sitting just one point behind the Bruins and Red Wings and only two behind both the Penguins and Islanders for the No. 2/No.3 spots in the Metropolitan Division. Forward Kirill Marchenko has found the back of the net six times and tacked on five helpers over his last 10 games and remains the heartbeat of the Columbus offense.

No. 5 - Montreal Canadiens
Last Week Ranking - 8
The Canadiens enjoyed a hot start to the week, picking up four points over their first two games, taking down the Leafs (3-1) and the Senators (3-2) during their brief road trip. However, in their return home, they would take a tough 4-2 loss to Macklin Celebrini and the Sharks. On Sunday, their struggles would continue as they dropped their second-stage game, falling to the Pacific Division-leading Anaheim Ducks (4-3).
However, they still carry a 5-3-2 record over their last 10 games and remain in the No. 3 spot in the tough Atlantic Division. They will have a crucial game against the Bruins on Tuesday night, who sit just two points behind them in the standings.
No. 4 - Carolina Hurricanes
Last Week Ranking - 4
The Hurricanes continued to pad their lead and remain the clear favorite to win the Metropolitan Division. This week, they posted a 2-1 record with their lone loss coming at the end of the Blues on Thursday evening. Their victories came against top Eastern teams, the Penguins and the Lightning.
They enter Week 22 with 90 points, nine more than the No. 2 team in their division. They also sit as the top team in the Eastern standings and are the likely favorite to hold home ice for the entire Eastern Conference playoffs.
No. 3 - Buffalo Sabres
Last Week Ranking - 3
The Sabres have yet to slow down and remain the team to beat in the Atlantic Division. After concluding last week with an incredible victory over the Lightning, they stayed hot, picking up four of their six possible points. Their victors came against the Sharks (6-3) and the Leafs (3-2 shootout), while their lone loss was against the Capitals (2-1).
They have posted an incredible 9-1 record in their last 10 and are quickly catching up to the Hurricanes for the No.1 seed in the next Eastern Conference. Young forward Jack Quinn spearheaded the offense this week, scoring four goals (five points).
No. 2 - Colorado Avalanche
Last Week Ranking - 1
The Avalanche saw their four-game winning streak snapped this week as they fell to the Oilers (4-3) on Tuesday evening. While they bounced back against the Kraken, taking a 5-1 win on Thursday, they took another loss to end the week, giving the struggling Jets a chance to push them out of our No. 2 spot.
Over their last 10, they carry a 7-3 record, but their overall lead at the top of the standings is quickly shrinking due to Dallas ' incredible play since the Olympic break. They will have their chance to reclaim the top spot as they face the Stars on Wednesday night.
No. 1 - Dallas Stars
Last Week Ranking - 2
The Stars have not slowed down. They continued their dominant run and picked up three straight wins in Week 21 and are approaching the Avalanche for the top seed in the Central Division, which seemed impossible just a month ago. This week, they took down the Golden Knights, Oilers, and Red Wings with a combined 12-5 record.
The Stars now enter the new week just three points behind the Avalanche. 22-year-old forward Wyatt Johnston continued his incredible breakout campaign with a week, scoring his 36th goal of the season on Saturday, which set a career-high. Through 66 games, he has tallied 73 points, which has already surpassed his previous career record of 71 points.
