Mac Jones In Line For Fourth Start
Mac Jones (knee, oblique) is expected to draw his fourth start of the season with Brock Purdy (toe) declared out. Jones himself is tagged as questionable on the team's final injury report for Week 6, but the team feels "pretty good about where he's going to be at," according to general manager John Lynch. Jones has performed well in Purdy's stead, averaging 301.7 passing yards per game and throwing six touchdowns to one interception in his previous three starts. On Sunday, he will face a Tampa Bay defense that has allowed four top-12 finishes to opposing quarterbacks through five games. However, Jones' injuries and those that have Ricky Pearsall (knee) declared out and Jauan Jennings (ankle, ribs) listed as questionable will limit his ceiling. Jones projects as a low-end QB2 in Week 6. He may be a suitable candidate for two-QB leagues, but he is a risky start in traditional formats.
