Arjun Nimmala Launches Home Run No. 8
Arjun Nimmala went 3-for-3 with a triple, a home run, and a walk during their contest against High-A Eugene on Tuesday evening. Nimmala tallied four RBI in this contest and scored one run. Over his last eight contests, Nimmala has been swinging a hot bat, posting a .333/.405/.700 slash line with three doubles, one triple, two home runs, and a 6:5 K:BB. Overall, through his first 35 games at the High-A level this season, the No. 1-ranked prospect in the Toronto system has held his own, carrying a .288/.365/.554 slash line. He has launched eight long balls, added 11 doubles, and posted a 31:16 K:BB. Last season, Nimmala spent his entire campaign with Low-A. Given his steady progress, the 19-year-old should be in the mix to move up to Double-A in the second half of the campaign.
