MLB Power Rankings: Where Do All 30 Teams Stand In Late June? (2026)

Pete Crow-Armstrong - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, MLB Prospects, Draft Sleepers

RotoBaller's MLB power rankings for all 30 teams in late June. Where does each MLB team stand in our latest power rankings for the 2026 season?

So many times when I'm putting these rankings together, it's the middle portion that's always the toughest. The top teams are never a shock. The bottom teams are never a shock. But the middle of the pack? It always seems like there's something crazy happening.

That's certainly the case again this week as the wild card races are really the focus of the league right now. The American League, in particular, is a ridiculous-looking race. Only one team in the AL that doesn't lead its division has a positive run differential. Nearly everyone is alive!

But how do they all play out? Let's find out. Read on to see where your favorite team ranks in our latest MLB Power Rankings. Note: Stats and rankings reflect games played through Monday, June 22.

No. 30 - Colorado Rockies

As a Rockies fan, it's always a bit rough to continually rank them this low, even if they are much improved from last season. The floor in Major League Baseball is just that much higher this season. But that hasn't stopped the Rockies from doing some crazy things. On Saturday night, they beat Paul Skenes in a win that featured a leadoff inside-the-park homer from Jake McCarthy.

Despite the low ranking, there are a lot of positives happening at Coors Field. The rebuild still has a ways to go, but there's at least a little bit of promise here.

No. 29 - Kansas City Royals

There's a bit less positivity in Kansas City right now. Adding to the rash of injuries they've dealt with, Bobby Witt Jr. was removed from Thursday's game after hurting his knee on a weird-looking play. As one of the few things going right in the Royals' season, that wasn't great for anyone to see.

They've at least been hitting the ball well, though, scoring six or more runs in four straight games. The pitching has been a detriment, though. With a large gap between them and the final AL Wild Card spot, it may be time they start considering selling at the deadline.

No. 28 - Los Angeles Angels

The Royals weren't the only team to face injury issues this week, as the Angels had to deal with Mike Trout's injury news. The 34-year-old was put on the 10-day IL with a hamstring strain. With so few things going right in Anaheim this season, that's a big blow.

Friday night's extra innings loss to the A's might hurt more, though. The Angels once held an 11-4 lead in the top of the sixth and still found a way to lose 12-11. There may be no better encapsulation of the Angels' season than that horrible Friday night loss.

No. 27 - San Francisco Giants

The Giants aren't in any position to make noise this season. Even achieving their traditional .500 record seems out of reach at this point. The offense has started to wake up a bit and help the cause, but the pitching is a detriment.

Landen Roupp, Trevor McDonald, and Adrian Houser have all been hitters' dreams when they take the mound in June. San Francisco isn't going anywhere, but their fans would love a bit more competitiveness to make the rest of the season a bit more intriguing.

No. 26 - Detroit Tigers

If you're going to keep yourself in the wild card race, then a great start is to sweep a division rival. That's exactly what Detroit did this weekend as they handled the Chicago White Sox. Their season is on the brink, and they undoubtedly know it, so a kick into gear like this shows a bit of desperation.

The question now is just how long they'll be able to keep this up. They'll face the Yankees in six of their next ten games. That will undoubtedly test them at a time when every single win is going to be incredibly necessary in order to turn their season around.

No. 25 - Boston Red Sox

It's getting harder and harder for Boston fans to feel like they have a shot in this wild card race. Getting swept by Toronto was not how they wanted to start their week, but a solid finish in Seattle helped to ease the blow.

Still, they're quite a ways back in the wild card race. The offense continues to be underwhelming, posting just an 83 wRC+ in June. Their pitching has been decent, but you can't win many games with an offense that ineffective. If they are going to make a run in the wild card race, then the bats need to wake up ASAP.

No. 24 - New York Mets

The Mets find themselves in the same wild card hole that the Tigers and Red Sox do. Like Boston, they aren't quite feeling like they're going to be able to get things turned around. Unlike Detroit, they're not playing with much desperation.

Pitching has been their major roadblock in June. While the offense has been good, the pitching staff has a 4.85 ERA this month. They need to get locked down if they want to give themselves a chance before deciding whether or not they need to sell at the deadline.

No. 23 - Minnesota Twins

If the Minnesota Twins are on your upcoming schedule, then watch out because their bats are absolutely smoking. They've scored four or more runs in nine straight games now, with an average of 7.8 runs per game. It helps when you're able to put up ten runs in an inning like they did Saturday night. But they've been cooking regardless.

They're now a game back in the AL Wild Card race. Joe Ryan's been fantastic on the mound as of late, giving up multiple earned runs just twice since May 3rd. If he stays dominant while the offense stays hot, then there's a chance we'll be looking at Minnesota holding a wild card spot sooner rather than later.

No. 22 - Texas Rangers

It's a really good thing that the Rangers took the series from the Padres this week because the prior two series were brutal. They're just a game back from the last AL wild card spot, and they feel like a contender, but the record doesn't quite reflect that.

A major fallback in June has been the pitching staff. Once a strength, they've pitched to a 4.83 ERA in June. Jack Leiter has shown flashes that he can be a talented pitcher, but his 9.88 ERA in June has been abysmal. Texas has a lot of work to do in order to become a threat in the AL again.

No. 21 - Cincinnati Reds

The Reds have been on a bit of a downswing after a hot start, but maybe this week is going to be the catalyst for another hot streak. They won two series against both the Mets and the Yankees. No word on whether they now own part of New York or not as part of the victory.

The Reds now sit 2.5 GB of the last wild card spot. It's not insurmountable, but there are a lot of talented teams between them and that last spot. They can make that leap, but it's just that much tougher with a bunch of other teams right there with them.

No. 20 - Houston Astros

The big news for Houston this week is the return of Hunter Brown to the rotation. The 27-year-old hadn't pitched since March thanks to a shoulder injury, and his return to the rotation is much, much needed for Houston.

While they are further back in the wild card race than some of the other teams we already highlighted (2 GB), they stand to have some of the most potential of the bunch when healthy. But health is the key, and health hasn't been on Houston's side the past couple of seasons.

No. 19 - Baltimore Orioles

So who exactly are the Orioles this season? At times, they're very inconsistent and underwhelming, but then they can go out and take two of three from the Dodgers. The AL East is certainly going to either the Yankees or Rays, but there should be enough talent here to snag a wild card spot.

But they need to be more consistent. They're too streaky at times, and minimizing these slides could really help them out. They'll look to continue the recent hot streak with a three-game series against the Angels to start the week.

No. 18 - Toronto Blue Jays

What a week it was for the Blue Jays. After sweeping the Red Sox early in the week, they headed to Wrigley Field and were able to split the first two games before Sunday's game got postponed. Saturday featured a comeback from down 5-0 after six that ended in an 8-6 Blue Jays victory.

George Springer is starting to look like himself again. He hit .375 this week with two homers as one of Toronto's most productive hitters. When he's on, it makes the Blue Jays a really tough matchup for any pitcher that's facing them.

No. 17 - Miami Marlins

June's been a fantastic month for the Marlins. Sure, they lost their series to the Phillies earlier in the week, but outside of that, they've won every other series they've played in June. They're 14-4 in the month, and it feels incredibly under the radar.

The lineup has hit for a 115 wRC+ in June while the pitching staff has a 3.18 ERA this month, which is the best in the league in that span. Watch out for the Marlins when they're coming up on your schedule. Looking at you, Rangers and Cardinals fans.

No. 16 - Athletics

The A's had one of their best wins of the season on Friday night, coming back from down 11-4 to win 12-11 in extras over the Angels. At the very least, A's games are fun and exciting no matter who they're playing.

June has been a better month for the A's (10-9) compared to their results in May (11-17), and they find themselves half a game out of the final wild card spot. But there may be a bigger prize with an AL West title if they're able to get things straightened out while the Mariners continue to struggle.

No. 15 - Pittsburgh Pirates

If you missed my update on the Pirates last week, it included a stat that shouldn't be real but absolutely is. Prior to his start on Saturday night, the Pirates had lost six straight starts when Paul Skenes took the hill. After his start against the Rockies on Saturday, that's now seven straight games the Pirates have lost when he starts.

June has only continued negative trends for Pittsburgh, now 7-11 this month. They're 1.5 GB of the final wild card spot, and there's plenty of talent on this roster, but they need to get things straightened out sooner rather than later.

No. 14 - Arizona Diamondbacks

The Diamondbacks haven't exactly been a solid team in June. They've posted an 8-11 record, yet they're still just a game out of the last NL wild card spot. But taking a look under the hood might make things a bit worse for Arizona fans.

They've been in the bottom five in June for both ERA and wRC+. That usually adds up to a record that's worse than 8-11. So do they have a positive swing coming towards them, or is negative regression going to hit them hard? A tough week ahead against the Cardinals and Rays may limit any sort of positive swing that DBacks fans are hoping for.

No. 13 - Pittsburgh Pirates

The Nationals have been one of those typical teams that you can file under the "fun and frisky" category this season. They're fantastic with their bats, and the pitching has been improving. They're now just half a game out of the last wild card spot.

But are we about to see the Nationals in a bit of a rut? They've lost three of their last four and now have to go into a four-game series against a strong Phillies team. There's a lot that's fun with the Nationals, but they're about to get tested.

No. 12 - Seattle Mariners

I keep thinking that the Mariners are going to be a dominant team, but they keep playing in such an underwhelming fashion. They're 4-7 in their last 11 games and have just an 88 wRC+ in June. They're leading the AL West, but it doesn't feel like anyone in that division wants to win that division.

At the same time, Seattle's been dealing with quite a few injuries. That's going to hold them back a little bit, but there's still way too much talent for them to be performing this poorly.

No. 11 - Chicago White Sox

After a really strong week against the Dodgers and Braves, the White Sox seem to have fallen back to reality a bit. They went just 1-5 against the Yankees and Tigers this week, with Detroit sweeping them. For one of the season's best surprises, that's not the streak you want to see them on.

They still hold the AL's second wild card spot, though, and are just a game behind Cleveland for the AL Central lead. That's going to be a major focus here in the next couple of weeks, with seven of their upcoming 13 games being played against the Guardians.

No. 10 - San Diego Padres

For a quick second, it looked like the Padres had snapped out of their funk. But with another 2-4 week, the Padres find themselves out of a wild card spot. That isn't going to sit well with their fans, especially after how competitive they've been the past few seasons.

Even though the staff has a 3.81 ERA this month, the offense has just an 85 wRC+. You're not winning many games with an offense that ineffective, and it's starting to bite the Padres. If they can't pick it up soon, they're going to have quite the hole to dig out of.

No. 9 - Chicago Cubs

The Cubs made up for their series loss to the Rockies last week while taking two of three from them at Wrigley this week. That helps get them back in the right direction, but we still have to keep in mind that they lost a series to the 2026 Colorado Rockies.

Pete Crow-Armstrong has been the most impressive hitter in baseball in June, though. He's posted a ridiculous 1.411 OPS with nine homers during the month. He's rejuvenated his season, and the Cubs are back to feeling like an offense that can rack up the runs real quick thanks to his bat.

No. 8 - Cleveland Guardians

For as solid as Cleveland generally has been this season, they're now finding themselves in a bit of a rut. They're 5-10 over their last 15 games and aren't quite looking like the division leader they currently are. That one-game lead over the White Sox certainly feels a little bit more like a tie.

With Jose Ramirez being sidelined for multiple months and rookie Chase DeLauter hitting the 10-day IL, getting things turned back around is going to be quite the task. As we mentioned earlier, seven games against the White Sox over the next two weeks is going to be very pivotal.

No. 7 - St. Louis Cardinals

It's easy to doubt the Cardinals given how much it feels like they may have overachieved this season. Early on, I felt their pitching staff was getting lucky, but this June, they've actually had luck against them. Their 4.44 ERA in June is paired with a 3.92 xFIP.

But the offense has been stellar. Their 122 wRC+ in June has carried them to a 10-8 record this month. Is that the most overwhelming record? Of course not. But they're in possession of a wild card spot, and that's well ahead of where they were expected to be this season.

The Cardinals are doing everything they need to do, and that's perfectly fine with their fans.

No. 6 - Philadelphia Phillies

So what can't Kyle Schwarber do at this point? The slugger crushed four homers against the Mets this weekend and now has 29 on the season. He's helped drive the Phillies to an 11-6 record in June as they continue their excellent turnaround this season.

A fun four-game series is on deck as they head to DC to face the Nationals this week. If you're looking for high-powered bats, then know that's your series this week.

No. 5 - Tampa Bay Rays

While the Rays hold the AL's top wild card spot and are just two games back in the AL East, they're not exactly feeling great about things right now. Since May 24th, they've gone 9-16. That's not a record you expect out of someone who's competing to win a division title.

Both the pitching and hitting have been just a bit below league average in June. That doesn't make them a terrible team, but they're not going to be a threat with subpar production. With a week against the Royals and DBacks on deck, they'll look to at least get the bats back.

No. 4 - New York Yankees

It's certainly too early to declare the AL Cy Young race over, but Cam Schlittler certainly put out a Cy Young-worthy performance on Friday by striking out 13 Reds in six innings. The 25-year-old has a 1.71 ERA and is dominating the league.

That's helping their fans forget about Aaron Judge being out at least through the All-Star break. His absence hasn't been completely detrimental, though, as the Yankees are still posting a 116 wRC+ in June. That, along with Schlittler's arm, is more than enough to win a lot of games as the Yankees look to win the AL East yet again.

No. 3 - Milwaukee Brewers

With a five-game lead in the NL Central, the Brewers are sitting pretty. They're well in control and not at risk of losing any ground in the playoff race. That's a fantastic spot to be. But could there be room for improvement on their roster still?

The lineup has been very potent in June, but the pitching has thrown just a 4.27 ERA this month. That should open the door for more starting pitching to join the roster, especially with starting pitching being their detriment last postseason.

No. 2- Atlanta Braves

The Braves had been barely clinging on to our top seed the past few weeks, but this week it was time to adjust. They've gone 3-7 over their last ten games and are really struggling offensively. They've hit for just a 79 wRC+ in June, well below the standards that we're used to from them.

The pitching has been alright, but the offense needs to pick it up. Lucky for Atlanta, they've built a solid lead in the NL East. But while a six-game lead over Philadelphia seems more than secure right now, that could flip on its head if Atlanta stays cold and Philly heats up.

No. 1 - Los Angeles Dodgers

Returning to our top seed is the Dodgers. They're tied for the league's best record with the Braves, but there's a bit more confidence here in the roster. That shouldn't be a surprise given how heavily they've invested in their players, but they're not struggling like Atlanta is.

It's not like there aren't some worries here, though. After all, a team of the Dodgers' caliber shouldn't be losing a series to the Orioles at home. The regular season usually isn't the priority in LA, but not dropping games and series like that would be great.

They're our top seed, though, and they're very obviously going to be a threat to three-peat this October.
