DraftKings and FanDuel Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (2/13/23): NBA DFS Lineups

NBA DFS sleepers and values plays for DraftKings and FanDuel on February 13, 2023. Juan Carlos Blanco gives you his top NBA DFS picks and lineup targets.

We're teed up for a massive 11-game slate Monday night as the NBA re-takes the spotlight from the NFL following a small two-game slate on Super Sunday. We do have a couple of particularly large favorites, but the rest of the games project to be reasonably-to-very-competitive affairs if point spreads are any indication.

Projected totals also bring plenty of reason for optimism for us as DFS players, as there are six game with figures above 230 points as of late Sunday night, including one in excess of 240. Combined with the massive player pool, it should be a fun night for roster construction for both tournament and cash game players.

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for the respective main slates on DraftKings and FanDuel on 2/13/23. Remember to monitor the NBA injury report as the slate can completely change before lineups lock, which is at 7:00 pm ET. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings and FanDuel Guards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Damian Lillard - PG, POR vs. LAL ($11,100 DK, $10,400 FD)

Lillard has turned his play up to yet another level since the calendar flipped to 2023, averaging over 50 fantasy points per game on either site over 21 contests while putting up a stellar line of 34.6 points, 7.6 assists, and 4.3 rebounds while shooting 49.1 percent. The star guard has averaged 50.6 DK/46.1 FD points in two previous games against the Lakers as well, shooting a solid 47.6 percent in that sample.

Los Angeles continues to be an appealing target for point guards, allowing the eighth-highest offensive efficiency rating to ones (27.8), as well as the third-most DK (52.2) and third-most FD (51.2) points per game to the position. The Lakers are also ranked in the bottom half of the league in assists allowed per game (26.4), leaving Lillard poised for another potentially handsome return.

Darius Garland - PG/SG, CLE vs. SAS ($8,100 DK, $8,200 FD)

Garland continues to be one of the most reliable options at guard each time he takes the floor, and as a bonus, he carries a ceiling that's worthy of considerably higher salaries than those he's currently carrying. Garland has hit 40 or more DK points in seven of the last 12 and has done so on six occasions on FD during that same span, and he now draws a matchup against a Spurs team that's had significant trouble slowing down point guards all season.

San Antonio is allowing an NBA-high 31.1 offensive efficiency rating to ones, along with the fifth-most DK (51.1) and FD (50.3) points per game to point guards. The Spurs are also conceding the fourth-most assists per road game (27.2) and NBA-high 41.0 percent three-point shooting overall, while Garland has been blistering hot from behind the arc with a 60.0 percent success rate from behind the arc in the last five contests.

Collin Sexton -  PG/SG, UTA at IND ($5,200 DK, $5,500 FD)

Garland's old Cavaliers teammate Sexton is a highly interesting player at his salaries Monday, as his current figures are nowhere near reflective of the starting point guard role he now fills in the wake of the trade of Mike Conley to the Timberwolves. The fifth-year guard has been impressive in his three-game stint with the first unit thus far, averaging 19.7 points, 5.3 assists, and 4.0 rebounds while shooting 55.6 percent, including 41.7 percent from three-point range.

The Pacers check-in allowing 37.0 percent three-point shooting to point guards overall, along with over 49 DK and over 48 FD points per game to the position over the last 15 contests. Indiana is also surrendering the fourth-most assists per game (26.4) and an Eastern Conference-high 37.1 percent three-point shooting, weaknesses Sexton is well equipped to exploit.

ALSO CONSIDER: James Harden - PG/SG, PHI vs. HOU ($9,800 DK, $9,900 FD)

DraftKings and FanDuel Forwards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Lauri Markkanen - SF/PF, UTA at IND ($9,100 DK, $7,600 FD)

Markkanen continues to be the linchpin of the Jazz attack, and he's averaged 26.9 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 1.6 assists while shooting 47.9 percent in his 17 games since the calendar turned to 2023. The big man also thrived during his one previous meeting with the Pacers, scoring 50.3 DK/46.1 FD points across 33 minutes in that contest.

The Pacers check-in allowing the sixth-highest offensive efficiency rating to small forwards (23.4), along with 39.5 percent three-point shooting to the position. Indiana is also giving up the fourth-most DK (43.8) and third-most FD (43) points per game to the position, along with the most rebounds (9.0) and seventh-most assists (4.0) per contest to threes.

Klay Thompson - SF/SG, GSW vs. WAS ($8,000 DK, $8,200 FD)

Thompson has already hit for some spike performances in Stephen Curry's current absence due to a lower leg injury. Monday, Thompson could be taking the court without Andrew Wiggins (ankle) in addition to Curry, which naturally would spike his potential usage even further. Additionally, the matchup is an appealing one for Thompson as well, as the Wizards are surrendering 38.7 percent three-point shooting to two-guards.

Washington is also surrendering the 11th-highest offensive efficiency rating to shooting guards (23.2), and Thompson sports a 28.1 percent usage rate while averaging 39.7 DK/37.2 FD points per 36 minutes without Curry and Wiggins on the floor. Thompson is also shooting an outstanding 42.9 percent from distance over his last 15 contests, leaving him well-equipped to deliver a solid return.

Tobias Harris - SF/PF, PHI vs. HOU ($5,200 DK, $6,100 FD)

Harris has been uncharacteristically inconsistent of late, which has led to a significant reduction in salaries on both sites. The veteran forward has three single-digit scoring performances in the last five games, but he's also shown glimpses of his usual self with a pair of tallies of over 30 fantasy points on either site since the start of February as well.

Harris could be in a good position to bounce back Monday, considering the Rockets are giving up the seventh-highest offensive efficiency rating to small forwards (23.4), along with 38.2 percent three-point shooting to the position. Houston is also yielding over 41 fantasy points per game on either site to threes in the last 15 games and the second-most assists per road game (27.7) overall, while Harris has been very productive at home with averages over 30 fantasy points per game on either site and 51.3 percent shooting (including 40.2 percent from three-point range).

ALSO CONSIDER: Paolo Banchero - SF/PF, ORL at CHI ($7,300 DK, $7,500 FD)

DraftKings and FanDuel Centers - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Nikola Vucevic - C, CHI vs. ORL ($9,000 DK, $8,800 FD)

Vucevic has outperformed his current salaries on numerous occasions this season, hitting or eclipsing 50 DK points on 11 occasions and doing so on FD on eight occasions as well. Additionally, the highly versatile big man enters Monday's matchup with eight straight double-doubles, and he's facing a Magic squad he's already averaging over 50 fantasy points against on either site in two previous games.

Orlando is allowing the ninth-highest offensive efficiency rating to centers (33.3), along with 58.9 DK and 58 FD points to the position in the last 15 games. The Magic are also surrendering the fifth-most assists (4.8), third-most made threes (1.2), and fifth-most steals (1.68) per contest to fives during that span, giving Vucevic plenty of paths to fantasy success.

Evan Mobley - PF/C, CLE vs. SAS ($7,400 DK, $8,000 FD)

Mobley plays power forward but has center eligibility on both sites as well, which gives him extra appeal Monday. The Spurs also make for an excellent positional matchup, considering how porous their frontcourt has been all season. Then, Mobley comes in running hot, having averaged over 40 fantasy points on either site in the last 10 games while shooting a stellar 51.7 percent.

San Antonio is allowing a Western Conference-high 28.6 offensive efficiency rating to power forwards, along with an NBA-high 49.9 DK/47.9 FD points per game to the position on the season. The Spurs are also conceding the fifth-most rebounds (53.5) and second-most points in the paint (56.7) per road game, while Mobley is averaging 9.3 boards per contest in the last 10 games and is scoring just under 75% of his points in the painted area.

Clint Capela - C, ATL at CHA ($5,900 DK, $7,000 FD)

Capela is averaging over 30 fantasy points on either site over his last 10 games, a stretch during which he's averaging a double-double of 12.0 points and 12.1 rebounds. Capela has actually hit the double-double bonus on DK six times during that span, making his salary on the site all the more intriguing. Monday, the veteran big man draws what's been one of the most attractive matchups for centers all season and that's arguably even better now that Mason Plumlee has been traded away.

The Hornets are allowing an Eastern Conference-high 36.3 offensive efficiency rating to centers, along with the most DK (59.2) and FD (59.1) points per game to the position. Charlotte has been even more generous over the last seven games by allowing more than 60 fantasy points per contest to the position in that span, and it's also worth noting when considering Capela that the Hornets are allowing an Eastern Conference-high 5.5 blocks per contest. In turn, Capela is averaging 1.2 blocks per contest and is coming off a three-block game against the Spurs his last time out.

ALSO CONSIDER: Jarrett Allen - C, CLE vs. SAS ($6,800 DK, $7,900 FD)
