Which dynasty fantasy football players should managers sell low? Aidin Ebrahimi recommends selling Daniel Jones, Jordan Addison, and more in dynasty leagues.
Buying low and selling high is the dream in dynasty fantasy football. But sometimes, you just can't turn a profit on a falling asset and are forced to cut your losses and move on.
Today, we'll cover five players who have seen their fantasy stocks plummet in recent times and are unlikely to rebound. Getting something for these guys is better than getting absolutely nothing in return, and while there's always a chance that they can rebound, sometimes it's best to play it safe.
Without further ado, let's look at five players you should sell low in dynasty fantasy football leagues. All dynasty trade values are from KeepTradeCut's crowdsourced dynasty rankings and RotoBaller's own dynasty rankings (as of February 5, 2026), which you can check out here.

Daniel Jones - QB, Indianapolis Colts
Baker Mayfield in 2023, Sam Darnold in 2024, and Daniel Jones in 2025. The "redemption QB" has taken the NFL by storm in recent seasons, and teams are now looking at former draft disappointments differently.
"He's an easy guy to root for as a friend, for sure."#Colts QB Daniel Jones has been a fan of Seahawks QB Sam Darnold for a long time - even before they played together on the Vikings.

They're no longer viewed as damaged goods, and teams believe they can fix these former busts for cheap. Jones is the most recent "redemption QB," and he did a great job at the start of the season with the red-hot Colts offense.
Through the first eight weeks of the 2025 season, Jones had 17 total touchdowns to just three turnovers (no fumbles lost, which was a huge improvement compared to his New York days), with 2,062 yards and a sparkling 109.5 passer rating while leading the Colts to a 7-1 record.
However, Jones crashed back down to earth after a five-turnover nightmare against the Steelers, and things continued to get worse. In his final five games, Jones went 1-4, had seven total TDs to eight turnovers, and tore his Achilles.
All four of his losses during this stretch came against good teams, and he only beat two playoff teams (Broncos in Week 2 and Chargers in Week 7) all season long. His early season dominance came against bad teams such as the Dolphins, Titans (twice), Raiders, and Cardinals.
Also, we must not forget that Achilles injuries are no joke. Kirk Cousins and Aaron Rodgers haven't been the same since tearing their Achilles tendons in 2023, and this injury could be even worse for Jones, considering that he relies on his legs to scramble fairly often.
The Colts are reportedly willing to negotiate with Jones to bring him back, but they're also intrigued by what they saw from Riley Leonard in the final game of the 2025 season.
This is a franchise that has been desperately searching for some long-term stability at the quarterback position ever since Andrew Luck retired, and betting on a soon-to-be 29-year-old coming off an Achilles tear seems very risky.
The Colts have an extremely talented offense with the innovative Shane Steichen at the helm, and Jones could struggle mightily in another situation. Even if he does stay, Jones' Achilles injury and poor history against good teams aren't exactly reassuring.
Jones' value went as high as the KeepTradeCut QB15 in November, but his stock has plummeted. He's currently our QB27 at RotoBaller, and things are unlikely to get any better considering all the questions surrounding his future.
Rachaad White, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
There hasn't been a more obvious free-agency move than Rachaad White to the Washington Commanders in years. White's social media activity has all but guaranteed that he will reunite with his former Arizona State teammate, Jayden Daniels, in 2026.
White became a fantasy darling in 2023, when he finished as the PPR RB4. However, Bucky Irving stole his thunder in the following season, and in 2025, White failed to impress while Irving was out.
White put up 420 yards and three touchdowns from scrimmage in seven starts without Irving in the lineup. He averaged 3.8 yards per attempt and 5.4 yards per reception during that span.
White will have his work cut out for him on a new team. Despite his maddening fantasy football inconsistencies, Jacory Croskey-Merritt is a talented young player, and the Commanders will work hard to develop him.
One could expect a near 50-50 split if he lands there, which won't be great news for either player's fantasy value. White peaked as KeepTradeCut's RB10 in 2023, but he's currently ranked as their RB51 and our RB62. It's time to cut your losses and move on.
Brandon Aiyuk, WR, San Francisco 49ers
Calling Brandon Aiyuk's departure from the 49ers a "messy divorce" would be a major understatement. Aiyuk was flying high as KeepTradeCut's WR9 right after Super Bowl LVIII, but everything changed after he signed a four-year, $120 million contract extension with the 49ers in 2024.
Brandon Aiyuk's disappearance from the 49ers' team facility remains a mystery. Discussion of this ended the 38-minute press conference (the longest session Kyle Shanahan and John Lynch have ever held): pic.twitter.com/gm5L7Bsfon

Aiyuk suffered a season-ending knee injury after seven games in 2024 and has not returned to the field since. The former Arizona State star was expected to return in Week 6 of the 2025 season, but he ignored all calls from the organization, was "extremely distant," per head coach Kyle Shanahan, and recorded a video of himself speeding past Levi's Stadium going over 100 miles per hour.
Per ESPN's Nick Wagoner, 49ers GM John Lynch told reporters at the team's end-of-season news conference that Aiyuk has "played his last snap as a Niner."
Wagoner believes Aiyuk will receive an incentive-laden "prove-it" deal this offseason, and it's hard to imagine he'll be any team's WR1 or even WR2 in 2026. He's currently ranked as our WR56.
Jordan Addison, WR, Minnesota Vikings
Before reporting to his first training camp, Jordan Addison was pulled over and cited for speeding and reckless driving, but many thought that was an isolated incident and that he would become a superstar, especially after becoming one of 13 players since the NFL-AFL merger to have scored at least 10 receiving touchdowns in their rookie season.
Addison was flying high as KeepTradeCut's dynasty WR10 before another legal issue tanked his value. This time, it was an arrest for a DUI in the 2024 offseason.
Addison's fans and fantasy owners still gave him a chance, and he had a solid season, averaging 14.2 PPR points per game and scoring 10 touchdowns from scrimmage for the second season in a row in 2024.
However, the 2025 season was a nightmare for Addison. He was suspended for the first three games of the year for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy (due to the 2024 DUI), and got benched in the second game after his return due to missing a walk-through practice.
Things would only get worse for the former 23rd overall pick, as he had two games with zero catches, and finished as the PPR WR45 with just 9.7 points per game.
Addison was arrested for a third time in four offseasons in January 2026, this time on a misdemeanor trespassing charge. His legal issues, alongside the Vikings' uncertainty at the QB position, have caused Addison's fantasy stock to fall off hard. He's ranked as our WR33. While his value is at an all-time low, it's still decent enough to get something out of him.
David Montgomery, RB, Detroit Lions
From a player with many legal problems to the exact opposite, David Montgomery overcame a difficult childhood to become an NFL star. He carved out a nice niche for himself on the Lions in 2023 and 2024 as their power back, as he scored 25 touchdowns in his first 28 games with the team.
"Jahmyr [Gibbs] is one of, if not the best running backs in the league and I'm a damn good [running] back myself."

But the man known as "Knuckles" will always live in the shadow (no pun intended) of the much flashier "Sonic." When Montgomery suffered an MCL injury in Week 15 of the 2024 season, Jahmyr Gibbs took the opportunity with both hands.
Gibbs has put up an insane 2,326 yards from scrimmage alongside 24 total touchdowns in the 20 games since Montgomery's injury back in 2024. Even though Montgomery returned to full strength for the 2025 season, he has not started a regular-season game for the Lions since.
Despite only averaging 6.8 carries per game from Week 11 onward in 2025, Montgomery is content with playing second fiddle to Gibbs.
"I just think having us both together and us both being as selfless as we are, I think it's really important," said Montgomery during a Super Bowl week appearance on NFL Network. "It's something special to be a part of."
Montgomery is currently our RB35, which is still decent enough to get a young player or a second-round pick.
