Should I Pickup Andrei Iosivas or Noah Fant? Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Pickups for Week 12

Andrei Iosivas - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Should I pickup Andrei Iosivas or Noah Fant as fantasy football waiver wire pickups for Week 12 of 2025? Read our fantasy football waiver wire outlooks.

The Cincinnati Bengals will be without their top wide receiver, Ja'Marr Chase, due to a spitting incident that cause the NFL to suspend him for one game. Chase's suspension was upheld after an appeal.

So he's absolutely not playing in Week 12 for the Bengals. It will be WR Tee Higgins that will assume the No. 1 receiver role, while they'll have to figure out how to dole out the rest of their targets among their other pass-catchers.

Aside from Chase and Higgins, it's appeared to be WR Andrei Iosivas and tight end Noah Fant that are next down the list of target priority. But should you pick one of them up off waivers or in free agency for Week 12?

Andrei Iosivas Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Outlook

Iosivas has struggled throughout his career. He's had a lot of high-profile drops, and even when asked to step up in the absences of either Chase or Higgins, hasn't been dependable or even very productive. But WRs develop throughout their careers.

There are two games for him that stand out this season -- Week 5, in which he caught five of seven targets for 82 yards, and Week 9, when he nabbed five of his seven targets for 66 yards and a touchdown. Aside from those contests, though, he's averaged 2.5 PPR fantasy points per game.

He's extremely inconsistent probably because he just isn't that good of a receiver. He's been in an elite offensive environment, with quarterback Joe Burrow (toe) throwing the ball to him for years, but he was largely outproduced by tight end Mike Gesicki (pectoral) when Higgins or Chase were out.

It's hard to justify adding Iosivas. He occasionally has decent games, but he's put up three goose eggs this year. In Week 1, Week 3, and Week 8, he scored exactly zero fantasy points despite playing a majority of the snaps. He's often clearly involved on offense, at least running routes and being on the field, but doesn't earn many targets.

Noah Fant Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Outlook

Fant is a more interesting player to look at. He's had a few nice games this year, and overall been much more consistent than Iosivas, despite playing a position that tends to not get nearly as many targets. Fant had six targets last week in a game in which Chase was struggling.

Of course, he's a TE, so if you want to pick him up, you'd need to start him in your TE spot. That wouldn't make a lot of sense if you already have a good player in that slot. But the problem is that the aforementioned Gesicki was a full participant in the Bengals practice on Wednesday.

And Cincinnati lost a winnable game against the Pittsburgh Steelers last week thanks in part to a crucial Fant fumble that Pittsburgh returned for a touchdown. After that point, things got pretty out of hand, and the lead became insurmountable.

It might not even make much sense to grab Fant now that Gesicki is returning, and it's possible he could be benched (or at least soft-benched) due to his latest gaffe.

Should I Pickup Andrei Iosivas or Noah Fant For Fantasy Football?

It doesn't seem like a great idea to waste your time on either of these players. It's possible that QB Joe Burrow (toe) could return, which might make one of them fantasy relevant, but it's a huge risk putting them in your starting lineup. And it's not like Chase is out long-term.

Iosivas would become a priority waiver add if both Higgins and Chase were out for multiple games, but it's too hard to predict when he'll have a solid game and when he'll literally blank you. And he's had more goose eggs than solid games this year.

There are a lot of better options out there that you can grab if you need a pass-catcher. I'd rather have Seattle Seahawks tight end AJ Barner, who was targeted 11 times and caught 10 passes last week. He's been coming along very nicely, and it appears that he has outplayed rookie TE Elijah Arroyo handily.

If you want a receiver that you can start immediately with some degree of confidence, you can grab New England Patriots WR Kayshon Boutte (hamstring), who is set to return this week from a hamstring injury after logging a full practice on Wednesday. He has a nuts matchup against the awful Cincinnati Bengals defense.
