Xavier Worthy Returns to Practice on Friday, Expected to Play in Week 6
Xavier Worthy (ankle, shoulder) was back on the practice field on Friday after missing the team's Thursday practice, according to Taylor Burr of Fox4 Sports. Additionally, Sam McDowell of The Kansas City Star reports that Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said he anticipates Worthy being available in Week 6 against the Detroit Lions. Worthy dislocated his shoulder on Kansas City's opening drive in Week 1 and missed Weeks 2 and 3 as a result. In the two full games he's played this season, the 22-year-old has recorded 11 catches for 125 yards on 17 targets. With top Chiefs wideout Rashee Rice sidelined for Week 6 due to suspension, Worthy should be expected to take on a WR1 workload once again against the Lions. Worthy profiles as a must-start fantasy wide receiver in Week 6.
