Steelers Request to Interview Ejiro Evero for Head-Coaching Job
The Pittsburgh Steelers have requested to interview Carolina Panthers defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero for their open head coaching job, a source told Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network. The Steelers are beginning to create a list of head-coaching candidates after long-time head coach Mike Tomlin announced his resignation on Tuesday. Evero has been running the Panthers' defense for the last three seasons. Before that, he was the DC for the Denver Broncos in 2022. In addition to the Steelers, Evero is in the running for the head-coaching jobs this cycle for the Atlanta Falcons and Las Vegas Raiders. Steelers owner Art Rooney II said the organization isn't putting a timeframe on when it expects to have a new head coach, and he shot down suggestions that the Steelers would be in a "rebuild" phase after the departure of Tomlin, who has been with the team for 19 years.

John Harbaugh to Meet With Titans on Thursday
Former Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh is scheduled to meet with the Tennessee Titans' decision-makers at his home on Thursday, sources tell Dianna Russini of The Athletic. Harbaugh interviewed with the New York Giants on Wednesday, and reports indicated that the Giants were making a "massive" push to try to get a deal worked out with him before he left the building. Sources have suggested that it's down to the Giants, Titans, and Atlanta Falcons for Harbaugh. In addition to meeting at the Giants' facility on Wednesday, Harbaugh got to meet with quarterback Jaxson Dart. The Titans have another young QB in Cameron Ward that Harbaugh would get to work with, while in Atlanta, he could be in play to help pick the organization's next general manager. Right now, the Giants appear to be the favorites to land the former Ravens head coach.

Steelers Not Looking to Rebuild Following Resignation of Mike Tomlin
When asked if the Pittsburgh Steelers would think about overhauling the current roster to enter a "rebuild" phase after the resignation of long-time head coach Mike Tomlin on Tuesday, owner Art Rooney II said he didn't "like that word," and also said he is "not sure why you waste a year of your life not trying to contend." "The standard is to try to compete to win a championship every year." Rooney and general manager Omar Khan will lead the search to replace Tomlin, and they've already requested to interview Los Angeles Rams defensive coordinator Chris Shula and passing-game coordinator Nate Scheelhaase. The Steelers definitely could use a roster rebuild, and the new head coach in the Steel City will have huge shoes to fill after Tomlin didn't have a losing season in any of his 19 years with the organization. The team's next head coach is expected to be tasked with helping to find the next starting quarterback.

Chris Shula to Interview for Steelers Head-Coaching Job
The Pittsburgh Steelers have requested to interview Los Angeles Rams defensive coordinator Chris Shula for their head-coaching job, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter. The Steelers, who are looking to replace Mike Shula after he resigned on Tuesday, also want to interview up-and-coming Rams' passing-game coordinator Nate Scheelhaase for the head-coaching gig. Pittsburgh is just starting to assemble candidates to take over for Tomlin, but Shula is already considered a potential favorite for the job. Shula has been on Sean McVay's coaching staff since 2017, running the team's defense the last two seasons. He is the grandson of former NFL head coach Don Shula, and he'd have giant shoes to fill in the Steel City if he were to take over for Tomlin, who didn't have a losing season, miraculously, in his 19 years with the organization.

Steelers Request to Interview Nate Scheelhaase for Head-Coaching Job
The Pittsburgh Steelers have requested to interview Los Angeles Rams passing-game coordinator Nate Scheelhaase for their head-coaching job, a source told Adam Schefter of ESPN. Scheelhaase is a rising young name in the coaching ranks and is also expected to interview for head-coaching jobs with the Baltimore Ravens, Cleveland Browns, and Las Vegas Raiders. In addition to Scheelhaase, the Steelers want to speak with Rams defensive coordinator Chris Shula. Scheelhaase joined the Rams' coaching staff last year as an offensive assistant and pass-game specialist. Before joining the NFL, he was the offensive coordinator at Iowa State in 2023. Shula is considered the favorite to win the Steelers' head-coaching gig, but Scheelhaase could make a run at a head-coaching job with another organization very soon. Long-time Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin resigned after 19 years on Tuesday.

Matt Prater Back to Full Practice on Wednesday
Buffalo Bills kicker Matt Prater (quadriceps, calf) was a full participant in practice on Wednesday. Prater played through a right-quad injury in the Wild-Card win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, but he didn't handle kickoffs. He was a non-participant in practice on Tuesday, but all signs point to him being active for the Divisional Round on Saturday against the Denver Broncos now that he's back to a full practice. The 41-year-old veteran made both of his field-goal tries and all three of his extra-point opportunities against the Jags despite being less than 100%. Although Prater will be kicking in the thin air of Denver this weekend, he'll be on the low end of fantasy kicking options in playoff leagues, with his quad injury being a factor.

Falcons to Interview Antonio Pierce for Head-Coaching Job
The Atlanta Falcons will interview former Las Vegas Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce for their head-coaching job later this week, sources told Mike Garafolo of NFL Network. Pierce interviewed for the New York Giants' head-coaching job last week and will meet in person with his former CBS colleague Matt Ryan and Atlanta's front office. The former Giants linebacker got his first coaching gig in the NFL in 2022 as the Raiders' linebackers coach under Josh McDaniels. He ended up taking over as Vegas' interim head coach in 2023 when McDaniels was fired, and was eventually named the full-time head coach in 2024. Pierce was fired after one season, going 4-13. His familiarity with Ryan could give Pierce the upper hand for the job in Atlanta, but he still feels like more of a long shot for the Falcons as they look to replace Raheem Morris.

Dolphins Request to Interview Anthony Campanile for Head-Coaching Job
The Miami Dolphins requested to interview Jacksonville Jaguars defensive coordinator Anthony Campanile for their head-coaching job, a source told Marcel Louis-Jacque of ESPN. Campanile spent three years as the Dolphins' linebackers coach under both Brian Flores and Mike McDaniel. Under Campanile in 2025, Jacksonville's defense ranked first in run defense and second in takeaways. Before joining the Jaguars, he was the linebackers coach for the Green Bay Packers in 2024. With the Packers, Campanile coached under new Dolphins general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan, when Sullivan was the vice president of player personnel. Campanile is considered a leader of men, but he could be a long shot in Miami as the head coach because of his lack of previous head-coaching experience.

Giants Making "Massive Push" to Hire John Harbaugh on Wednesday
The New York Giants are making a "massive push" to get a deal done with former Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh on Wednesday, sources told Connor Hughes of SNY. The Giants are willing to pay not only Harbaugh, but also give his staff whatever it wants. Harbaugh has a lot of respect for new Atlanta Falcons president of football operations Matt Ryan, though, and might want to hear the Falcons' pitch before making his final decision. Sources say that the Giants are Harbaugh's No. 1 choice, so if he likes what they have to say on Wednesday, a deal could be struck within the next 24 hours. General manager Joe Schoen's role remains unclear, but his presence in the front office isn't considered a roadblock to securing Harbaugh as the team's next head coach. Harbaugh going to the Big Apple would be excellent news for young quarterback Jaxson Dart.

Cardinals Request to Interview Arthur Smith for Head-Coaching Job
The Arizona Cardinals are requesting to interview Pittsburgh Steelers offensive coordinator Arthur Smith for their head-coaching job, a source told The Athletic's Dianna Russini. Smith is also interviewing for the Tennessee Titans' head-coaching opening on Wednesday. The 43-year-old is a Memphis native and spent 10 years as a coach with the Titans before becoming the head coach for the Atlanta Falcons for three seasons, so his preference could be to return home. Smith has a connection to the Cardinals as well, serving alongside current Arizona general manager Monti Ossenfort when he worked for the Titans. It's unlikely that Smith would stick around on Pittsburgh's staff after they bring in a new head coach to replace Mike Tomlin, who resigned on Tuesday. Smith served as the OC for the Steelers for the last two seasons.

Arthur Smith to Interview With Titans on Wednesday
Pittsburgh Steelers offensive coordinator Arthur Smith is interviewing for the Tennessee Titans' head-coaching opening on Wednesday, a source told Conor Orr of Sports Illustrated. Smith is well-liked in the Titans' building and will be looking for a new job after Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin resigned on Tuesday. In addition to Smith, the Titans are interviewing former Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel for the head-coaching job on Wednesday. Smith spent 10 years as an assistant coach for the Titans before eventually being promoted to the OC role. He eventually left Tennessee to become the head coach for the Atlanta Falcons. The Arizona Cardinals have also requested to interview Smith for their head-coaching job. Smith's offensive philosophy would be an interesting fit in Tennessee with current tight ends Chig Okonkwo and Gunnar Helm.

Cardinals Request to Interview Matt Burke for Head-Coaching Job
The Arizona Cardinals have requested to interview Houston Texans defensive coordinator Matt Burke for their head-coaching job, a source told Dianna Russini of The Athletic. Burke is the play-caller for the No. 1 defense in the NFL, and he previously coached the Cardinals' defensive line in 2022. The Cardinals are looking to replace Jonathan Gannon, who was fired last week after the team went 3-14 in 2025. Burke has been the Texans' DC for three seasons under head coach DeMeco Ryans. In addition to Houston being first in points allowed this year, they ranked second in yards allowed. Burke is well-traveled around the NFL as a coach, with stops in Tennessee (2004-08), Detroit (2009-13), Cincinnati (2014-15), Miami (2016-18), Philadelphia (2019-20), New York (2021), and Arizona (2022).

Dolphins Request to Interview Patrick Graham for Head-Coaching Job
The Miami Dolphins requested an interview with Las Vegas Raiders defensive coordinator Patrick Graham for their head-coaching job, a source told Tom Pelissero of NFL Network. In addition to interviewing for Miami's head-coaching job, the Washington Commanders are interested in Graham filling their DC job. Graham also received head-coaching looks last year but was not a finalist anywhere. Despite a tough season for the Raiders, he's still a respected defensive mind and head-coaching candidate. The Dolphins recently hired a new general manager and are now looking to replace Mike McDaniel, who was let go last week. Graham was the Dolphins' DC in 2019, but he'll likely be considered a long shot to get their head-coaching job. He has a much better shot at going elsewhere in 2026 in a DC role again.

Mike Tomlin Doesn't Plan to Coach in 2026
NFL teams were told that former Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin "does not plan to coach next year," according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Teams around the league contacted Tomlin to express their interest in him in the hours after he told the Steelers that he was stepping down on Monday, according to sources. The Steelers still have Tomlin's rights, and draft compensation would be necessary if Tomlin were to go to another team. That could eventually still happen, but it looks like Tomlin's plan right now is to take next season off after 19 years as the head coach in Pittsburgh. While Tomlin's recent run with the Steelers was marred by early playoff exits, he amazingly didn't have a losing season in his entire 19-year run with the organization. If the future Hall of Fame coach doesn't coach in 2026, he could be hired as an analyst by one of the big TV networks.

Giants, Titans, Falcons Have Inside Track on John Harbaugh?
Former Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh continues to gather information on potential destinations, and the expectation is that he will interview with the New York Giants, Tennessee Titans, and Atlanta Falcons by the end of the week, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network. Other teams are interested, but Pelissero reports that the Giants, Titans, and Falcons appear to have the inside track. The Athletic's Ian O'Connor reports that Harbaugh is expected to meet with the Giants in New Jersey on Wednesday, barring a last-minute schedule change. New York and Tennessee have promising young quarterbacks in place for Harbaugh, and while the Falcons have a big question mark at the position, given Michael Penix Jr.'s (knee) injury situation, the former Ravens head coach could have some sway in picking the team's next general manager.
