Brandon Aubrey Set for Rebound Week 9 vs. Cardinals
Dallas Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey had a disappointing outing in Week 8 against the Denver Broncos, attempting just one field goal in a game where Dallas spent most of the time playing from behind. It marked Aubrey's worst fantasy performance of the season. In Week 9, Aubrey and the Cowboys face the Arizona Cardinals in a matchup with a projected implied team total of 54.5 points, giving him plenty of scoring opportunities. The Cardinals' defense has been middle of the pack this season, allowing approximately 335.7 yards per game, suggesting the Cowboys' offense should rebound and generate scoring chances for Aubrey. RotoBaller currently ranks Aubrey as the No. 1 kicker for Week 9, making him a must-start option in all fantasy formats this week.

Matt Gay Set to Return in Week 9
Washington Commanders kicker Matt Gay (back) has been cleared from the injury report and is set to return for Sunday Night Football against the Seattle Seahawks. Gay missed last week's matchup against the Chiefs, but will only end up missing only one game due to the back injury. The 31-year-old has been solid for Washington in seven games this season, making 10 of 14 attempts and all 18 extra points. However, Gay has been a little shaky from 50 or more yards, with those being three of his four misses. Gay should have more opportunities on Sunday with Jayden Daniels back in the lineup and projects as a decent fantasy option.

Brandon McManus a Solid Kicking Option in Week 9 if he Plays
Green Bay Packers kicker Brandon McManus (quad) returned in Week 8 against the Steelers after missing Weeks 6 and 7. McManus was a tad shaky in his return, making two of four field goal attempts and making all three extra points. The 34-year-old missed a 57-yard field goal early in the second quarter before also missing a 44-yarder just before halftime. McManus was listed as a full participant in practice on Thursday and Friday, but is still questionable as of now for Week 9 against the Carolina Panthers. It's looking likely that McManus will be able to suit up, and he should be busy in a game where the Packers should put up plenty of points.

Chris Boswell Should Keep Rolling Against Indianapolis
Pittsburgh Steelers kicker Chris Boswell drilled all four of his field goal attempts, including three from over 50 yards out, and converted his lone extra-point try in a Week 8 loss to the Green Bay Packers. The 34-year-old remains a dependable fantasy option against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 9. Although the Colts haven't given up many fantasy points to opposing kickers this season, this contest is projected to feature upwards of 50 total points scored. If it turns into a shootout, Boswell should be plenty involved as the Steelers aim to keep pace with Indianapolis' high-flying offense. Fantasy managers can count on Boswell as a top-10 option once again on Sunday.

Cairo Santos a Solid Fantasy Option After Impressive Return
Chicago Bears kicker Cairo Santos returned from a multi-game absence last week. He immediately made an impact in his first game back, converting his lone extra point attempt while going 3-for-4 on field goals, including one from 40+ yards out. The 33-year-old has always been a solid kicker, and his productivity has improved this season as the Bears show more signs of life on offense. This week, Santos will take on the Cincinnati Bengals in a potentially close game that should feature high scoring. Cincinnati ranks near the middle of the league in terms of fantasy points allowed to kickers, giving Santos a chance to carve out a fantasy-revelant showing. He's on the border of the fantasy radar right now, ranking as the overall K13 in Week 9, according to RotoBaller's experts.

Michael Badgley a Top-10 Fantasy Kicker in Week 9
Indianapolis Colts kicker Michael Badgley will head on the road to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 9. Badgley has been excellent for the Colts since taking over kicking duties after Spencer Shrader was lost for the season with a knee injury. The veteran placekicker has made all three of his field-goal tries while hitting 12 of his 13 extra points in three contests. The Steelers have been generous to kickers this season, allowing the 11th-most fantasy points per game to the position. Although Badgley hasn't attempted multiple field goals in a game yet, Shrader was near the league lead in field-goal makes and attempts before he got hurt. Badgley sets up as a top-10 fantasy kicker in Week 9.

Cam Little a Low-End Starter in Week 9
Jacksonville Jaguars kicker Cam Little is a borderline starter in Week 9 against the Las Vegas Raiders. The Jaguars offense is a bit banged up despite the bye week last week, meaning there is a chance for some struggles. However, the Raiders defense is one of the weakest in the NFL, meaning the Jaguars should have no trouble moving the ball. As long as the offense can refrain from turning the ball over, Little should get some field goal opportunities. Worst-case scenario, the Jaguars mainly score touchdowns, and Little doesn’t get the opportunity to show off his big leg. Little is a solid starting option in a Week 9 trip to Vegas.
Eddy Pineiro A Lock In Week 9
San Francisco 49ers kicker Eddy Pineiro has played his way into being one of the more valuable kickers in fantasy football in 2025. Unsigned until the 49ers brought him in to replace the erratic Jake Moody after Week 1, Pineiro ranks fifth in both total fantasy points and fantasy points per game. In last week's slog against the Houston Texans, Pineiro's only opportunity was a single extra point try, which he converted. On the season, he is 10-for-11 on extra points and a perfect 17-for-17 on field goal attempts. In Week 9, the 49ers square off against the New York Giants, who have allowed the seventh-most fantasy points per game to opposing kickers. Pineiro is a relatively safe bet for fantasy production out of the kicker slot and can be included in starting lineups in Week 9.

Ka'imi Fairbairn Is in a Tough Matchup in Week 9
Houston Texans kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn has been a starting kicker for fantasy teams for most of the season, but there may be a better option available this week. He has converted 17 of his 19 field goal attempts this season, with both misses from beyond 50 yards. He has made five field goals of more than 50 yards as well, though, and has also converted all 12 of his extra-point attempts. Fairbairn was a perfect 4-for-4 on field goals and 2-for-2 on extra points last week against the 49ers, but this week, he's facing the Broncos in Houston. In that difficult matchup, he's only the No. 16 kicker in RotoBaller's rankings this week. He's still startable, for sure, but check what the alternatives are as well.

Harrison Butker Worth Starting In Week 9
Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker will face the Buffalo Bills in Week 9. Butker is coming off his third game of the season without missing a kick. The Chiefs' kicker has attempted at least four extra-point attempts in each of the last five games and made 19/20 (95%), giving him a solid floor to build on. Butker should be utilized often in this game with a nearly 53-point total, which is the second-highest total in Week 9. Butker is ranked K9 in our RotoBaller rankings, making him a startable fantasy kicker this week.

Graham Gano's Reliable Leg Makes him a Streaming Option
New York Giants kicker Graham Gano returns as a reliable leg with consistent opportunities thanks to his perfect 100% field goal percentage (8-of-8) this season. Gano's successful return from IR in Week 8, where he converted both field goals and extra points, provides much-needed stability following his backup's struggles. San Francisco's defense is prone to allowing field goal attempts, ranking 21st in the NFL by allowing an average of 2.3 opponent field goal attempts per game. Gano's ability to hit from a long of 55 yards gives him a decent fantasy floor and upside in this contest.

Wil Lutz Could be Relied Upon in Week 9
Denver Broncos kicker Wil Lutz comes into Week 9 as RotoBaller's 12th overall-ranked kicker in a tough matchup against the Houston Texans on the road. With the Broncos facing a relentless Texans defense that is allowing a league-low 266.9 yards per game through Week 8, it's possible that the offense could find itself sputtering as they cross the 50 and will call upon Lutz to get points on the board. Lutz has been extremely reliable when called upon this year, nailing 10 of 11 field goals attempted so far this season and never missing a PAT. Fantasy managers can look at Lutz as a backend starter due to a difficult matchup for Week 9.

Jake Bates Remains a Must-Start Kicker in Week 9
Through seven games so far in 2025, Detroit Lions kicker Jake Bates has made an uninspiring eight out of 11 field goal attempts. However, Bates leads the NFL in both extra-point attempts (27) and makes (27). The Lions are currently averaging over 30 points scored per game, which has given Bates a relatively safe fantasy floor. In Week 9, Detroit will host the Minnesota Vikings. Playing inside the domed Ford Field, Bates will not have to deal with any potential weather concerns. In 12 career games at Ford Field, Bates has scored an average of 8.67 points per contest. He profiles as a must-start fantasy kicker in Week 9 against Minnesota.

Brandon McManus Holds Questionable Tag for Week 9
Green Bay Packers kicker Brandon McManus (quad) is listed as questionable ahead of the Week 9 matchup against the Carolina Panthers. McManus was limited in practice to begin the week, but was able to get through a few full sessions to end the week. Despite that, McManus will carry a questionable tag into Sunday's game. Fantasy managers will likely have to wait until closer to kickoff before getting a final decision on McManus. The 34-year-old returned last week from a two-game absence and missed two kicks. He's not exactly an elite option when healthy, so maybe fantasy managers should look elsewhere.

Matt Prater Cleared for Week 9
Buffalo Bills kicker Matt Prater (calf) doesn't carry an injury designation into Sunday's Week 9 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs. Prater was limited in practice throughout the week, but that won't stop him from playing this weekend. It doesn't sound like Prater is 100 percent healthy, but he'll be able to kick through the pain. Prater has been a viable option as he has only missed two kicks heading into Week 9. He'll be a viable streaming option for this tough matchup against the Chiefs.
