The Miami Dolphins announced on Monday that they completed an interview with Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Kelvin Sheppard for their head-coaching job. Sheppard was in his first year as the DC in Detroit in 2025, and the Lions' defense ranked 22nd in points allowed and 18th in total yards allowed. It wasn't a great showing, but injuries decimated the secondary, giving them little chance for consistency on that side of the ball. In addition to Sheppard, the Dolphins had Las Vegas Raiders defensive coordinator Patrick Graham in for an in-person interview on Monday. Green Bay Packers DC Jeff Hafley is considered the front-runner for Miami's head-coaching job because of his familiarity with new general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan. The Dolphins talking with Sheppard and Graham will satisfy their Rooney Rule requirements, so Sheppard is probably a long shot to get the job.--Keith Hernandez

The Baltimore Ravens are bringing in Miami Dolphins defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver on Tuesday for a second head-coaching interview, a source told the NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. Weaver is a former Baltimore player and assistant coach, and he's been a finalist for multiple head-coaching jobs in recent years. In addition to garnering interest from the Ravens, Weaver is a finalist for the Pittsburgh Steelers' head-coaching vacancy. Whoever Baltimore selects will have massive shoes to fill following John Harbaugh's 19 years with the organization, which included a Super Bowl championship. In 2021, Weaver was the Ravens' defensive-line coach before serving as the assistant head coach and D-line coach under Harbaugh from 2022-23 before going to the Dolphins to become their DC. Weaver's familiarity with Baltimore's organization could give him a leg up.--Keith Hernandez

The Buffalo Bills announced on Monday that they promoted general manager Brandon Beane to president of football operations. It comes on the same day that they also fired head coach Sean McDermott following their Divisional Round loss on Saturday to the Denver Broncos. Beane and McDermott were both hired by the organization in 2017, and the Bills made the playoffs in eight of their nine seasons together. It's been quite a run for Buffalo with quarterback Josh Allen at the helm, but Beane will now lead the search to try to find a head coach who can lead the Bills back to the Super Bowl, and hopefully to their first-ever championship. The presence of Allen at the most important position in football immediately makes the Bills' vacant head-coaching job one of the most attractive in the NFL this offseason.--Keith Hernandez

The Kansas City Chiefs are requesting permission to interview Chicago Bears running backs coach Eric Bieniemy for their offensive-coordinator position, a source told Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network. Current OC Matt Nagy's contract is set to expire, and he's seeking head-coaching jobs around the league. The Chiefs' offense still mainly runs through head coach Andy Reid, but they could be reuniting with Bieniemy after a frustrating 2025 campaign that saw KC miss the playoffs for the first time in a decade. Bieniemy last worked for the Chiefs in 2022, but he has a long history with Reid and was part of two of the team's recent Super Bowl runs. In the past three years, he's worked for the Bears, Washington Commanders, and in college at UCLA. With the Chiefs looking to get back on track in 2026, bringing Bieniemy back would make a lot of sense.--Keith Hernandez

Former Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy has interviewed twice in recent days for the Tennessee Titans' head coaching job -- once in late December in Green Bay, and then again on Friday and Saturday in Tennessee, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The Titans fired former head coach Brian Callahan early on during the 2025 season, and the fact that they discussed the job with McCarthy before the regular season was over suggests that he's a finalist for the job despite taking the entire 2025 season off from coaching. The New York Giants were looking at McCarthy before they hired John Harbaugh, and the former Packers head coach is also drawing interest from the Pittsburgh Steelers. If McCarthy were to land in Tennessee, he'd be leading young quarterback Cameron Ward going into his sophomore season after a tough first NFL campaign.--Keith Hernandez

Jacksonville Jaguars defensive coordinator Anthony Campanile is interviewing for the Baltimore Ravens' head-coaching job on Monday, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. The Tennessee Titans and Miami Dolphins have also shown interest in Campanile for their head-coaching positions this cycle. The 43-year-old led a strong Jaguars defense that finished eighth in points allowed and 11th in total yards allowed in his first year with the team in 2025. Campanile would be a good fit for an already strong defense in Baltimore, but he'd be a questionable fit as the Ravens look to get quarterback Lamar Jackson turned around after an injury-riddled and extremely disappointing season that led to John Harbaugh's firing.--Keith Hernandez

Green Bay Packers defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley is scheduled to interview with the Las Vegas Raiders for their head-coaching job on Wednesday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Hafley is a hot name for open head-coaching positions around the league this cycle, and he's considered the favorite for the job with the Miami Dolphins because of his familiarity with new general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan. The 46-year-old has led the Packers to top-12 defenses in each of the last two seasons. In addition to the Dolphins and Raiders, the Tennessee Titans and Arizona Cardinals are looking at Hafley for their head-coaching position.--Keith Hernandez

The Las Vegas Raiders are set to interview former Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel for the team's head-coaching job on Monday, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. A lot of options are still on the table for McDaniel after he was fired by the Dolphins following the 2025 season. In addition to being a finalist for the Raiders' head-coaching job, he's also a finalist for the same position with the Cleveland Browns, and McDaniel is also a top offensive-coordinator candidate for several teams around the league. Another head-coaching gig is probably the priority for McDaniel, but if nothing works out on that front, he should have a pretty desirable OC job waiting for him. In Vegas, McDaniel would be an intriguing pairing for Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza, who is expected to be the No. 1 overall pick by the Raiders in the 2026 NFL Draft.--Keith Hernandez

Miami Dolphins defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver is expected to have a second, in-person interview with the Pittsburgh Steelers for their head-coaching job this week, a source told Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network. The Steelers will also have a second interview with Minnesota Vikings DC Brian Flores, who was a defensive assistant on Pittsburgh's staff in 2022. Los Angeles Rams assistant coaches Chris Shula and Nate Scheelhaase are also set for second interviews for the Steelers' job. If Weaver doesn't get the job in Pittsburgh, he could head to the New York Giants to be the DC for new head coach John Harbaugh. In addition to interviewing for the Steelers' head-coaching job, Weaver is a candidate for the same position with the Baltimore Ravens. The Dolphins had a top-10 defense under Weaver in 2024 before regressing in 2025.--Keith Hernandez

The Las Vegas Raiders announced on Sunday that they completed an interview with Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Joe Brady for their head-coaching position, according to Ryan McFadden of ESPN. Brady also interviewed for the Miami Dolphins' head-coaching opening. The 36-year-old has been Buffalo's OC for the last three seasons, but he's looking for a new gig now that the Bills fired head coach Sean McDermott after their Divisional Round overtime loss to the Denver Broncos on Saturday. In his first full season as the Bills' OC last year, Brady helped quarterback Josh Allen to an MVP season. Brady is viewed as one of the brightest offensive minds in the league. If the Raiders hire him as their next head coach, he'll likely be coaching Indiana QB Fernando Mendoza in 2026, as the Raiders are expected to take him first overall in the 2026 NFL Draft.--Keith Hernandez

Former Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel is a finalist for the Cleveland Browns head coaching job. He will receive a second interview along with Los Angeles Chargers defensive coordinator Jesse Minter and Los Angeles Rams passing coordinator Nathan Scheelhaase next week. McDaniel was fired by the Dolphins after the regular season ended, following a 7-10 season and a missed playoff berth. He was Miami's coach in 2022, leading the team to back-to-back winning seasons and two consecutive playoff berths. The 42-year-old is also being considered as an offensive coordinator for the Eagles, Chargers, and Lions. If hired by the Browns, McDaniel would take over from Kevin Stefanski and look to revamp Cleveland's offense that finished near the bottom of the league last season. The Browns will continue their second set of interviews this week and look to find their new head coach.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller

Los Angeles Rams passing game coordinator Nathan Scheelhaase is a finalist to be the next head coach for the Cleveland Browns. The 35-year-old is set to have a second interview, along with Los Angeles Chargers defensive coordinator Jesse Minter and former Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel, next week. Under the Sean McVay coaching tree, Scheelhaase has been a name to watch for a head-coaching role. Along with Rams OC Mike LaFleur, Scheelhaase has helped the Rams rank among the NFL's top offenses. Scheelhaase would have Shedeur Sanders and Dillon Gabriel to work with as Cleveland's starting quarterback unless the Browns select one in the upcoming 2026 NFL Draft. If hired, he would take over for Kevin Stefanski and look to jumpstart a Browns offense that ranked third-worst in the league in total yards per game in 2025.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller

Los Angeles Chargers defensive coordinator Jesse Minter is a finalist to be the next head coach for the Cleveland Browns. Minter is set for a second interview with the Browns next week. Rams passing game coordinator Nathan Scheelhaase and former Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel are also finalists for the position. Minter has been the Chargers' DC the past two seasons and has become a hot name in the head coaching circle after his defense has helped lead the Chargers to back-to-back playoff appearances. He will have some challenges at quarterback, but he would be taking over a Browns' stout defense led by superstar defensive lineman Myles Garrett. Minter would take over as the newly hired Atlanta Falcons head coach, Kevin Stefanski, after he was let go by the Browns after six seasons as Cleveland's head coach. Look for the Browns to make a decision soon as they go through their second round of interviews.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller

The Cleveland Browns have requested a second head-coaching interview with Jacksonville Jaguars offensive coordinator Grant Udinski, sources tell ESPN's Adam Schefter. Udinski would become the youngest NFL head coach ever hired if he lands the Browns' job at just 30 years old. Cleveland is also scheduled to have second interviews with Baltimore Ravens OC Todd Monken and defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz. Despite his age, Udinski is very well respected around the league and is credited with quarterback Sam Darnold's resurgence last year with the Minnesota Vikings. Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence also threw for a career high in touchdowns in 2025 under Udinski's watch. The Browns are looking to replace Kevin Stefanski, who was hired as the next head coach for the Atlanta Falcons on Saturday.--Keith Hernandez

The Tennessee Titans have a second head-coaching interview scheduled with Green Bay Packers defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. The Titans also have a second interview scheduled with Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy, and former Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy could also be a finalist. Hafley is considered the front-runner for the head-coaching job with the Miami Dolphins because of his relationship with new general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan, who was previously in Green Bay's front office. There seems to be a pretty good chance that Hafley will be a head coach in 2026 with either the Dolphins or Titans. If he were to be hired in Tennessee, Hafley would need to carefully select his offensive staff to help develop young quarterback Cameron Ward, who was the first overall pick last April.--Keith Hernandez
