Dallas Stars forward Matt Duchene (upper body) is expected to miss a third consecutive game on Saturday against the Carolina Hurricanes, Stars beat writer Robert Tiffin reports. Duchene is still day-to-day with an upper-body injury but could potentially return for Sunday's game against the Nashville Predators. The Stars attack also remains without Jamie Benn (upper body), although he has begun skating individually. With the two veterans out of the lineup, Sam Steel and Mavrik Bourque have larger roles. However, the duo has been largely ineffective, combining for only three points so far.--Taavi Pailk
