Seattle Kraken right wing Kaapo Kakko (hand) could be back in action on Saturday against the New York Rangers, Vince Z. Mercogliano of The Athletic reports. The former Ranger has returned to full practice after breaking his hand in a preseason game. On Friday, Kakko skated on the third line and worked with the second power-play unit. If he's indeed ready to make his season debut on Saturday, Kakko will have a point to prove after being traded by the Rangers last December. He was fairly productive during his first 49 outings with the Kraken in 2024-25, posting 10 goals and 30 points.--Taavi Pailk
