Pittsburgh Penguins forward Evgeni Malkin (upper body) will accompany the team on its upcoming three-game road trip. This suggests that Malkin may be ready to return to the lineup soon. He has missed three games due to an upper-body injury. The Penguins begin the road trip with a matchup against the St. Louis Blues on Thursday and will also face the Dallas Stars and Chicago Blackhawks later in the week. Kevin Hayes and Rickard Rakell have seen time as the second-line center during Malkin's absence. Prior to his injury, Malkin scored in back-to-back games. However, the season overall has not gone well for him, as the seven-time All-Star has tallied 46 points (15 goals, 31 assists) in 62 games.--Taavi Pailk
