Mike's fantasy baseball waiver wire hitters to add as category boosters for Week 10 of 2026. His top hitters to pick up or stream for HR, RBI, SB, AVG, and runs.
Welcome back to our Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Hitters - Category Boosters column for Week 10 of the 2026 MLB season. At this point, we have a good idea of where our teams are and what we need to do to remake them. Can we salvage it?
This week, we hit the first days of June. If you used the Memorial Day weekend to catch your breath from a long school year, you are not to blame if you did not do your mental calculus on your fantasy teams. But by now, you should know where your team is strong and where you may need to upgrade your roster. Almost every team is behind in some category. Now it becomes, where can we get the most out of our FAAB dollars and correct and augment our teams?
We will give you multiple options for each of the five offensive categories in a standard five-by-five league. All hitters will be listed by their percentage in Yahoo! leagues, with 50% being the max. Let's see who can help boost your categories.

Trent Grisham, OF, New York Yankees (44% rostered)
Grisham has largely been forgotten since his career year in 2025. Yet, he remains a big part of a good Yankees team. After hitting .132 in April, Grisham has responded with a May in which he hit .263 with three homers, 15 RBI, three stolen bases, and 18 runs scored. His OBP during that time was a robust .355. Consider Grisham if you need outfield help right now in the short term.
Jorge Mateo, 2B/SS/OF, Atlanta Braves (10% rostered)
Mateo is seeing more playing time for the Braves, and he can help you boost your category standings in runs and stolen bases. With semi-regular playing time in a stacked Braves lineup, Mateo hit .347 with three homers, eight RBI, five stolen bases, and 13 runs scored in May. The batting average is likely a mirage and will regress, but if he is playing regularly, Mateo will rack up runs and stolen bases. Add in triple position eligibility, and you have a useful player.
Jake McCarthy, OF, Colorado Rockies (8% rostered)
McCarthy has found a spot to play daily in Colorado, and he is making the most of it. McCarthy hit .291 with three homers, 17 RBI, four steals, and 13 runs scored in May. Six of those runs have come in his last week of action. Below, you can see that McCarthy has truly elite speed, and mix in that he is also hitting leadoff against right-handed pitching, and he looks even better. He is available in most leagues, and if you need a runs or steals boost, take a look at McCarthy.
Home Runs (HR) - Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Boosters
Kerry Carpenter, OF, Detroit Tigers (38% rostered)
Carpenter was just activated from the IL and responded by homering in his second game back for the Tigers, who desperately need a boost. Carpenter slotted right back into the middle of their lineup and should provide a nice power boost. The veteran outfielder has seven home runs already in only 124 plate appearances in 2026 after slugging 26 long balls last season. If you need power, Carpenter is available in most leagues.
Luke Raley, 1B/OF, Seattle Mariners (31% rostered)
Raley continues to mash homers in a part-time role with the Mariners. He has an absurd 13 home runs in 168 plate appearances, with eight of those coming in May alone. Three of those homers have come over the last week. While he may not play daily, Raley gets all the starts in right field against right-handed pitching. Raley is worth rostering in deep leagues, especially if you need a power surge. His Statcast is below, and if you can live with the 31.9% K%, he is a productive player.
Joc Pederson, UTIL, Texas Rangers (7% rostered)
Pederson is well-known for his hot stretches, and he is in one right now. Pederson has five home runs over the last week for Texas. He will not help you anywhere else, as his days of swiping a few bases look to be over. But when he is this hot, he is worth rostering in deeper leagues. The fact that he is utility only hurts in some ways, but if he hits another three home runs this week, you will not mind Pederson taking up that slot.
Colton Cowser, OF, Baltimore Orioles (5% rostered)
Coswer is getting more playing time in Baltimore, which happens when you hit. Cowser was being selected in many winter drafts, with the hopes that a consistent job in center field could lead to 25+ home runs. Well, that did not happen when Cowser hit a paltry .163 with no homers in April. But quietly in May, Cowser hit .275 with four homers, 15 RBI, a steal, and 14 runs scored while gathering regular playing time again. I am in on him again right now.
Runs Batted In (RBI) - Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Boosters
Brooks Lee, 2B/3B/SS, Minnesota Twins (34% rostered)
Lee has exceeded expectations for the Twins while logging time at shortstop and third base, while also maintaining his second base eligibility. Check his box below. He has two straight months with 17 RBI. You don't care how he gets them as long as he does, right? He's not a zero in other categories either, with eight homers, three steals, and 26 runs scored. Good fantasy teams always have a guy like Lee on their roster, a jack of all trades who helps all over the field.
Curtis Mead, 1B/2B/3B, Washington Nationals (28% rostered)
Mead has been a surprise and has held down the number three spot in the batting order while manning third base. Kept as bench depth this spring, Mead has graduated to a starting role, and he is hitting .250 with eight homers and a wRC+ of 142. Nine of his RBIs have come in the last 10 days. You can see below that Mead makes good contact, takes a walk, and does not strike out much, and he had a .400 OBP in May. Add in the multiple infield position eligibility, and you have a fine player.
Blaze Alexander, 2B/3B/SS/OF, Baltimore Orioles (3% rostered)
Alexander was acquired as bench depth before the season began, but little did the Orioles know that the versatile utility guy would become so valuable. Alexander has hit a torrid .365 in May, while also knocking in 13 runs, stealing three bases, and scoring eight more, while playing all over the field. Even with the returns of Coby Mayo and Jackson Holliday, Alexander's bat and flexibility should keep him in the lineup most days of the week.
Stolen Bases (SB) - Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Boosters
Sam Antonacci, 2B/3B/OF, Chicago White Sox (25% rostered)
Antonacci continues to get on base at the top of the White Sox order, and he keeps scoring runs and stealing bases. He seems to be the type of player who is better in real-life baseball than in fantasy baseball, but he is useful for runs, stolen bases, and potentially, batting average. There is very little power; he has one home run, and that was an inside-the-park one. But he had a solid May, hitting .296 with eight stolen bases and 18 runs scored. His positional versatility can help many fantasy teams.
Edwin Arroyo, 2B/SS, Cincinnati Reds (14% rostered)
Arroyo is this week's speculative pick. With the hamstring injury to Elly De La Cruz, the Reds wasted no time in calling up their top prospect. It appears that he will play second base, and that Matt McLain will shift to shortstop in the interim. The rookie brings a blend of speed and power to the lineup. In Triple-A, he already had 11 home runs (just three short of his career high), was hitting .323, and had nine stolen bases. He figures to be a popular FAAB addition this weekend.
David Hamilton, 2B/3B/SS, Milwaukee Brewers (2% rostered)
Hamilton is starting at shortstop or third base daily, and that means that when he gets on base, he is going to steal bases. Thus far, Hamilton has 13 steals and has scored 25 runs, with eight of those stolen bases coming in May. He will not help with batting average (he's hitting .239) or home runs (he has one), but his speed and baserunning change games for the Brewers, and he is a deep dive addition for teams chasing speed.
Batting Average (AVG) - Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Boosters
Jake Burger, 1B, Texas Rangers (31% rostered)
Burger continues to pound the baseball, as usual, when he is healthy. I am always surprised to find him on the waiver wire; he is a cleanup hitter getting daily at-bats in a decent lineup when it is healthy. Burger hit .290 with five home runs, 18 RBI, and 18 runs scored in May. The veteran has raised his batting average by 30 points in May. With the absence of slugging first basemen right now, why is Burger not rostered more often?
Spencer Horwitz, 1B, Pittsburgh Pirates (20% rostered)
Horwitz is another player forgotten about on the waiver wire, but let's review his case. Against right-handed pitching, Horwitz is hitting leadoff in Pittsburgh. He hit .326 in May, while also tallying four homers, 16 RBI, and scoring 13 runs as well. He rarely strikes out, will take a walk, and had a .415 OBP in May, bringing his yearly rate to .389. Add in that he has seven homers to go with an excellent batting average and some runs scored, and you can see that Horwitz is a useful player on many teams.
Jung Hoo Lee, OF, San Francisco Giants (15% rostered)
While we have known all along that Lee is a good hitter, he has been scorching over the last week. Lee hit .313 in May, but had games of four and five hits over the last week, going an absurd 12 for 19 over that period. Obviously, it will not keep up, and Lee is basically a one-trick pony to elevate your team's batting average. But it is a darn good trick!
Happy hunting this week! Message me directly @mdrc0508 if you have specific questions or just need to vent about your fantasy teams. I will help if I can! Good luck and most importantly, have fun with this hobby! Have a great week.
