Daily Fantasy Baseball Streamers - MLB Hitter, Pitcher Lineup Picks for Tuesday 5/11

Top daily fantasy baseball streamers and waiver wire adds for 5/11/21. Mike Marteny identifies MLB hitters and starting pitchers to stream based on matchups.

Welcome to the another edition of our daily fantasy baseball streamers! Are you playing in leagues with daily moves and looking to beef up those rosters? We here at RotoBaller are there for you and all of your streaming needs. Whether you are just trying to get that elusive category win or you are trying to give your pitching staff a lift, we can help. Each day RotoBaller will provide you with some of the best streaming options to consider in both shallow and deep fantasy baseball daily leagues. Streaming hitters and pitchers to exploit matchups are important to help you win your league.

It is important to know your league if you're going to stream. I'm not just talking about which teams your leaguemates root for. I'm talking about whether strikeouts count against you for hitters or if fielding stats are included. Most importantly, you need to know how many transactions you have per week. You don't want to blow your allotment within a couple of days. You can also use these recommendations to help build your DFS lineups. This article will use rostered percentages and position eligibility from ESPN leagues.

A third of today's starters are owned in 90% or more of leagues. It thins out quickly though with still half of the pitchers owned in less than half of leagues. That's the pond we're fishing from tonight.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy baseball lineup tools and resources:

Hitter Streamers for 5/11 - Shallow Leagues

Jorge Polanco (2B/SS, SHB, MIN) - 48% Rostered

Matchup: at CWS RHP Dylan Cease

Polanco's splits are about the same for each side, but he has more power from the left side. Polanco is hitting .368 with a homer, four RBI, and three runs scored over the last week. Add in the fact that he's 3-6 lifetime with four runs scored against Cease, and I see no reason not to add him. Polanco probably wont get you a homer here, but this is a potent lineup. He can really help out your average and runs total.

Aaron Hicks (OF, SHB, NYY) - 40.9% Rostered

Matchup: at TB LHP Ryan Yarbrough

Hicks has hit lefties 22 points better than righties in his career. Hicks is hitting .412 over the last week with three runs and three RBI. He is seeing the ball well right now. Yarbrough has not started the season strong. The power is going to come for Hicks. Those of you that have been patient so far are being rewarded with average. The rest of us can jump on now while he's heating up.

Miguel Rojas (SS, RHB, MIA) - 39.7% Rostered

Matchup: at ARI LHP Madison Bumgarner

MadBum has been decent lately, but Rojas has been better. A lot better. Injuries have allowed Rojas to seize the leadoff spot for the Marlins. All he has done in the last week is hit .458 with two homers, five RBI, and nine runs scored. This is an extreme hitters park that Rojas and the Marlins are in for the next couple of days. The Fish played all of their games at home last week, and Rojas still put up numbers like this. Imagine what he can do on the road! Imagine after you rush out and pick him up, of course.

Avisail Garcia (OF, RHB, MIL) - 29.4% Rostered

Matchup: vs. STL LHP Kwang Hyun Kim

Kim has been strong so far this year, but Garcia is hitting half of everything coming his way. He is 10-20 with a homer, six RBI, and two runs over the last week. On top of that, he's hitting cleanup for the offensively-challenged Brewers. Garcia will cool off eventually, but until then, ride the hot streak.

Hitter Streamers for 5/11 - Deep Leagues

Adam Duvall (OF, RHB, MIA) - 19.8% Rostered

Matchup: at ARI LHP Madison Bumgarner

Duvall's power is back this year. He is hitting .318 with two homers, seven RBI, and four runs in the last week. All of those games were in one of the most spacious parks in the league and three of them were against this very team. The improvement in park metrics fares well for the Marlins. MadBum is still worth chasing with right-handed power. His stuff is not elite anymore, but it's still pretty good.

Brandon Belt (1B, LHB, SF) - 18.2% Rostered

Matchup: vs. TEX RHP Jordan Lyles

No one is going to mistake Lyles for a good pitcher anymore. The 7.09 ERA and 1.64 WHIP aren't flukes. The 6.02 xERA suggests that luck isn't the problem. That's by far the highest of Lyles' career. So is the 91.6 mph exit velocity. Belt is hitting .316 with three homers, eight RBI, and six runs scored in the last week. A series at Coors helped those numbers a bit, but the average isn't a fluke.

Brandon Crawford (SS, LHB, SF) - 15.5% Rostered

Matchup: vs. TEX RHP Jordan Lyles

Lyles actually has reverse splits this year, but lefties are still hitting .288 against Lyles and are hitting .284 against him in his 11 seasons in the majors. The series in Coors helped to kick-start Crawford as well. He is hitting .385 with three homers, eight RBI, a steal, and five runs scored in the last week. Crawford started the season slow, so be willing to cut him when he cools off. For now, he can provide some nice counting stats.

Seth Brown (1B/OF, LHB, OAK) - 2.2% Rostered

Matchup: at BOS RHP Nathan Eovaldi

Brown is no longer playing every day, but he will play every day that there's a righty on the mound. That meant two homers and five RBI in the three-game series with the Rays. The bad news is that Eovaldi has yet to allow a homer through seven starts this season. That's not to say that he can't be had though, and Brown's counting stats and healthy side of the platoon share will help in most deep leagues.

Pitcher Streamer for 5/11 - Shallow Leagues

JT Brubaker (RHP, PIT) - 40.3% rostered

Matchup: vs. Cincinnati

Brubaker has racked up 37 strikeouts in 32.1 innings while only issues eight free passes. Those kind of ratios usually aren't available on waivers. Brubaker has only given up three runs this year once in six starts and not any more than that. He'll give up a couple of long balls, but considering Bruabaker doesn't allow many runners (1.14 WHIP....something else that will help your ratios), they usually don't hurt him too much. Cincinnati is a good offensive team, but this park doesn't cater to offense. I'll ride the hot arm of Brubaker here.

Brady Singer (RHP, KC) - 30.3% rostered

Matchup: at Detroit

Singer already started in Detroit once this year and he dominated. He gave up one run in seven innings while striking out eight. Overall, Singer's numbers are strong across the board. He hasn't allowed more than three runs in an outing since the opener against Texas. The 29 strikeouts in 29 innings help out everywhere, as does hit 1.17 WHIP. The walk rate is a touch high, but Singer has only allowed two homers all year. He doesn't get into much trouble and Detroit certainly isn't a team that can put him in some. Their only run was off of a solo homer by Willi Castro.

Pitcher Streamer for 5/11 - Deep Leagues

Adbert Alzolay (RHP, CHC) - 12.8% Rostered

Matchup: at Cleveland

It's going to be tough for Adbert to wrestle a win away from Shane Bieber, but considering Alzolay has only allowed four runs over his last two starts against the Braves and Dodgers, he's worth the risk. Alzolay has 30 strikeouts in only 26 innings, but the biggest reason for his jump this year is he's cutting down on the walks. Alzolay has a microscopic 0.88 WHIP this year. That ERA is going to come down. He's been getting a little unlucky of late. It's rare to find this kind of strikeout potential on the wire. Let others worry about the 4.50 ERA. The 3.78 xERA tells a more accurate story.
