Recent Update

4/26:San Francisco Giants starting shortstop Brandon Crawford was placed on the bereavement list prior to Wednesday's tilt versus the rival Los Angeles Dodgers. Infielder Eduardo Nunez will bat third and take over for Crawford at shortstop. Crawford hurt himself and was taken out of last night’s ballgame and diagnosed with a right groin strain as well. For now, Crawford has not been placed on the disabled list. Our condolences go out to Crawford, who is grieving the loss of his sister-in-law.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller

  • @extrabaggs: Crawford (strained right groin) had no way to get MRI before leaving for family funeral. He'll be reevaluated on Friday.
  • @extrabaggs: Bochy said if Crawford has to go on 10-day DL, he could be backdated to yesterday even though he's on 3-day bereavement leave.
  • @PavlovicNBCS: Span had rough rehab day yesterday, so was put on DL. No update on Crawford but three days on bereavement list count toward DL if needed.
  • @PavlovicNBCS: Michael Morse, "Take on Me," and Kelby Tomlinson are back. Crawford (bereavement) and Span (DL) are out. Story:
  • @JohnSheaHey: Official from Giants: Crawford on bereavement leave, Morse contract purchased, Tomlinson recalled, Span to 10-day DL, Parker to 60-day DL.
  • @AmyGGiants: Crawford to bereavement list, Tomlinson recalled. Span to DL w/clavicular joint sprain, #sfgiants purchase contract of Michael Morse.

  • @extrabaggs: MORSE IS BACK. Span to DL. Crawford to bereavement. Tomlinson recalled
  • @hankschulman: As I mentioned earlier today, expect Kelby Tomlinson to be recalled to replace Crawford, who goes on 3-day bereavement list. #SFGiants
  • @hankschulman: Sounds like Kelby Tomlinson on his way to San Francisco . Logical choice to replace Crawford for 3-day bereavement leave, longer. #sfgiants
