Chris Rodriguez Jr. - Fantasy Football Rankings, Running Back Sleepers, RB Handcuffs

Updated mid-week fantasy football waiver wire rankings for Week 13 of the 2025 NFL season. Top fantasy football free agents and streamers to add off waivers.

Happy Thanksgiving, RotoBallers! With it being Thanksgiving week, games will be scattered throughout the week on Thursday, Friday, Sunday, and Monday. There are no bye weeks this time around, so fantasy managers will only need to find injury replacements. At RotoBaller HQ, we return with more waiver wire advice with our updated waiver wire rankings for fantasy football Week 13 of the 2025 season to help fantasy managers find those bye week and injury replacements.

With a full slate of games, it's time to examine your roster and find injury replacements or high-upside stash for the playoffs. Is Trey Benson returning in Week 13? Will Benson become Arizona's primary back once activated from IR? Is Jayden Reed a must-add in fantasy leagues as he could return on Thanksgiving after being out since Week 2? Will Jaleel McLaughlin have a key role in Denver's backfield with J.K. Dobbins out after undergoing surgery on his foot?

These Week 13 waiver wire rankings are updated by Nick Mariano, RotoBaller's lead fantasy football analyst and forecaster. For those who are not familiar, he brings you his weekly waiver wire rankings and priority adds for the top 85 options to consider across various positions and league sizes. Good luck in Week 13 on the waiver wire!

Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Outlooks

Some of the top names include Trey Benson, Jayden Reed, Jaleel McLaughlin, Kyle Monangai, and Brenton Strange. We recap why these players should be on your waiver wire radar for Week 13.

Trey Benson, RB, Cardinals

Arizona Cardinals running back Trey Benson (knee) has been on Injured Reserve since Week 4 due to a knee injury. However, Benson was able to practice in a limited capacity last week and could be on track to make his return in Week 13 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. If Benson is cleared to play against Tampa Bay, Arizona may not be able to afford to work him in slowly.

Running back Emari Demercado (ankle) missed last week due to an ankle injury, and fellow Cardinals back Bam Knight (leg) suffered a lower leg injury late on Sunday that could put his status for Week 13 in jeopardy as well. Across four games before getting injured, Benson recorded 224 scrimmage yards on 42 touches. Even in shallow leagues or leagues without IR roster slots, Benson should be a waiver-wire target heading into Week 13.

Jaleel McLaughlin, RB, Broncos

Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton said that running back Jaleel McLaughlin had a number of good runs in the team's big Week 11 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs and pointed to him "being important down the stretch," per Zac Stevens of DNVR Sports. McLaughlin played only 13% of the offensive snaps before the team's bye week and had six carries for 19 yards, but he did find the end zone for the first time this year in just his second game played.

Rookie RJ Harvey is expected to lead Denver's backfield the rest of the way with J.K. Dobbins (foot) done for the year, but it sounds like McLaughlin is going to have a bigger role to close out 2025. At the very least, McLaughlin could become the Broncos' preferred goal-line back, which would give him streaming appeal in deeper leagues as a touchdown-dependent option. McLaughlin is currently rostered in 1% of Yahoo leagues.

Jayden Reed, WR, Packers

The Green Bay Packers are not ruling out wide receiver Jayden Reed (foot, shoulder) from coming off injured reserve to play on Thursday in the Thanksgiving Day game against the division-rival Detroit Lions at Ford Field, according to ESPN's Rob Demovsky. "You never know... You'll find out Thursday," head coach Matt LaFleur said when asked if Reed could play on Thursday, given the lack of practice time. Reed practiced for the first time last Friday since breaking his collarbone in Week 2.

He was limited on Friday and on Monday and Tuesday of this week, putting his status up in the air for Week 13. In addition to a broken collarbone, the third-year pass-catcher is recovering from surgery to fix a fractured foot. At the very least, fantasy managers should stash Reed, who has scored 18 total touchdowns in 35 career games. Green Bay will likely wait to activate him for a Week 14 contest against the Bears. If he is active on Thursday, his reps will most likely be limited, making him a fade candidate in fantasy.

Kyle Monangai, RB, Bears

Chicago Bears rookie running back Kyle Monangai recorded 12 carries for 48 yards and a touchdown in his team's 31-28 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. After veteran Bears back D'Andre Swift coughed up a fumble early in the game against Pittsburgh, Monangai worked as the team's feature back for much of the remainder of the contest. There's no question that the 23-year-old is emerging as a key piece in the Bears' offense. Monangai has now scored a rushing touchdown in three straight weeks.

For the season overall, he's recorded 461 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 99 carries. While Swift should be expected to remain the passing-downs back in Chicago, Monangai may be establishing himself as the team's preferred early-down and goal-line option. In any fantasy league with 12 or more teams where he remains available, Monangai should be a priority waiver-wire target heading into a Week 13 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Brenton Strange, TE, Jaguars

In his first game since suffering a hip injury in Week 5 that landed him on Injured Reserve, Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Brenton Strange recorded five catches for 93 yards on five targets in his team's win over the Arizona Cardinals. Strange's encouraging return was a continuation of what he had shown before getting hurt. Across the four full games he played before the hip injury, Strange had recorded 19 receptions for 182 yards on 23 targets.

Jacksonville could get wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. (ankle) back from injury in Week 13 against the Tennessee Titans, which may impact the target share for Strange. However, Strange himself played just 71% of the Jaguars' offensive snaps on Sunday, a number that could rise as he's fully healthy and re-integrates into the offense. Strange should be a waiver-wire target in fantasy leagues with 12 or more teams heading into Week 13.
