Dynasty Fantasy Football WR Buy or Sell: Zay Flowers, Rashee Rice, and Jordan Addison (2025)

Zay Flowers - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

2025 dynasty fantasy football outlook for Zay Flowers, Rashee Rice, and Jordan Addison. Buy or sell these wide receiver trade targets in 2025 dynasty leagues.

The 2024 NFL Draft class had seven first-round wide receivers. Marvin Harrison Jr., Malik Nabers, and Rome Odunze were selected in the top 10. Meanwhile, Brian Thomas Jr., Xavier Worthy, Ricky Pearsall, and Xavier Legette were Day 1 selections.

More importantly, Nabers and Thomas finished their rookie seasons as top-7 wide receivers in half-point PPR scoring. While fantasy players are drooling over last year’s wide receiver class, let’s not forget about the 2023 group.

After having impressive rookie years, Zay Flowers, Rashee Rice, and Jordan Addison had different sophomore seasons. Should dynasty fantasy football players buy or sell the third-year wide receivers? Let’s dive into it.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Buy Or Sell Zay Flowers?

The Baltimore Ravens have always had a run-first offense since drafting Lamar Jackson in 2018. Yet, fantasy players expected the team’s offense to become even more run-heavy after adding Derrick Henry in free agency last offseason. The superstar running back had an outstanding 2024 season, ranking second in the NFL with 1,921 rushing yards and first in rushing touchdowns with 16.

Yet, Jackson had his best year as a passer in 2024. He set career highs in passing yards (4,172) and touchdowns (41), beating his previous career bests by 11.8 percent and 12.2 percent, respectively. More importantly, the superstar quarterback heavily leaned on Flowers. The former Boston College star finished the year as the WR24, averaging 10.1 half-point PPR fantasy points per game.

Flowers became a more efficient wide receiver last season after a solid rookie year. He had 77 receptions on 108 targets for 858 receiving yards and five touchdowns as a rookie. By comparison, the star wide receiver had 74 receptions on 116 targets for 1,059 receiving yards and four touchdowns last season, leading the Ravens in receptions, targets, and yards.

Furthermore, the former Boston College star made his first Pro Bowl in 2024. More importantly, Flowers averaged double-digit fantasy points per game while consistently seeing target volume. He had double-digit targets in four games last year. However, the star wide receiver had at least six targets in 76.5 percent of the games, including eight of the final 10 regular-season contests.

While Baltimore will always be a run-first offense with Jackson under center, fantasy players should expect more from Flowers starting next year. Mark Andrews might get traded this offseason. Furthermore, the veteran tight end is entering the final year of his contract in 2025. Flowers’ role as Jackson’s top weapon in the passing game should grow over the next two years.

Buy Or Sell Rashee Rice?

Many dynasty fantasy players moved Rice up in their 2023 rookie ranking after he got drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs. The former SMU star had a solid rookie season, ending the year as the WR27, averaging 10.8 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. He was Patrick Mahomes’ top wide receiver as a rookie, playing a massive role in their Super Bowl run.

More importantly, Rice was outstanding at the end of his rookie year. The former SMU star was the WR6 over the final six weeks of the fantasy season, averaging 7.1 receptions on 9.3 targets for 86.3 receiving yards, 0.5 touchdowns, and 14.9 fantasy points per game, scoring 19.6 or more twice. Therefore, fantasy players had high expectations for Rice heading into last year.

The star wide receiver started last season on fire. Rice was the WR4 over the first three weeks, averaging eight receptions on 9.7 targets for 96 receiving yards and 17.6 fantasy points per game, totaling two touchdowns. He scored at least 13.8 fantasy points in every game. Furthermore, the second-year pro was Mahomes’ most trusted weapon early in the season.

Rice had a 31.5 percent target share over the first three weeks, 16.4 percent higher than anyone else on the team. Furthermore, the star wide receiver played a massive role in the Chiefs’ Week 3 win over the Atlanta Falcons, posting a nearly 36 percent target share. Unfortunately, he suffered a season-ending knee injury the following week early in the win over the Los Angeles Changers.

Thankfully, Rice should be ready for the start of next year. Unfortunately, he likely will miss time in 2025 with a suspension from an off-the-field incident last offseason. Yet, the likely suspension and injury create the perfect buy-low window. While everyone is rushing to buy high on Xavier Worthy, Rice will be one of my most added players in dynasty leagues over the next few months.

Buy Or Sell Jordan Addison?

Many fantasy football experts called Addison a sell-high candidate after his rookie season. The former USC star finished his rookie year as the WR21, averaging 11 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. However, most of his success came with Kirk Cousins under center and Justin Jefferson out of the lineup. Once the Minnesota Vikings lost Cousins to a season-ending torn Achilles, Addison’s production fell off a cliff.

The former USC star averaged 4.5 receptions on 6.4 targets for 60.3 receiving yards and 13.6 fantasy points per game in the eight contests with Cousins, ranking as the WR10 over those first eight weeks. Unfortunately, Addison was the WR37 over the 10 weeks without the veteran quarterback, averaging 3.8 receptions on 6.1 targets for 47.7 receiving yards and 8.7 fantasy points per game.

Furthermore, his touchdown production severely slipped without Cousins. Addison had seven receiving touchdowns as a rookie with the veteran quarterback under center. By comparison, he had only three without the former franchise quarterback. Therefore, many fantasy experts wanted to trade away Addison after the Vikings signed Sam Darnold in free agency and drafted J.J. McCarthy last offseason.

However, the change at quarterback didn’t hurt the star wide receiver’s fantasy production. Addison finished last year as the WR20, averaging 12.1 fantasy points per game despite missing two contests with an injury. Furthermore, his touchdown production improved from his rookie season. After totaling 10 receiving scores in 17 games as a rookie, the former USC star totaled nine in 15 contests in 2024.

More importantly, Addison played well despite Jefferson having a top-2 finish last season. The young wide receiver had some pop weeks, totaling 21.4 or more fantasy points in 20 percent of the contests. While the future of Minnesota’s quarterback room is up in the air, fantasy players should explore trading for Addison this offseason, especially if they believe in McCarthy.
