Week 4 Waiver Wire Stashes - Rashod Bateman, Parker Washington, Jalen Coker Fantasy Football Outlooks

Rashod Bateman - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Week 4 fantasy football waiver wire stashes, pickups for Rashod Bateman, Parker Washington, Jalen Coker in 2025. Read their waiver wire outlooks for fantasy.

The fluctuating week-to-week performances of the league's mostly unrostered wide receivers are a source of great interest to fantasy managers. Also, it's one of the great irritations for those who pick them up and slot them into lineups.

But it's simply impossible to ignore that tempting performances and usage make players much more interesting to at least snag for your benches. Such is the case for three receivers ahead of Week 4.

While one of them is still out with the injury, the other two had encouraging games in Week 3. So let's dive into waiver wire decisions and fantasy outlooks for all three ahead of Week 4 of 2025!

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Rashod Bateman Week 4 Waiver Wire Pickups

Rostered:  33% of Leagues

Baller Move: Add in 14+ Team Leagues

Bateman is a better player to have in best ball formats than in redraft leagues. Without diving deep into schematic matchups and coverages that he faces, it's hard to get a good grasp of when he'll have his big games. Even if you understand those and have access to the data, that doesn't guarantee anything.

After two games with under 4.0 PPR fantasy points, Bateman caught five of his seven targets for 63 yards and a touchdown. But as the fantasy community becomes more familiar with how things work, it's not as if most are thinking that this will be a regular thing moving forward.

The above is a nice play that Bateman made, but I don't really agree with the logic. Even when Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is a productive passer, the scheme spreads the ball around heavily, and Jackson's total completion numbers aren't super impressive. Keep in mind, this is important for reception totals.

This leads to a lot of inconsistency and a lot of dud games from all the team's pass-catchers. Keep in mind that in Week 3, the Ravens' WR1, Zay Flowers, only caught two passes for 13 yards. In the first two weeks, he was far more productive. Bigger Flowers games could come at the expense of Bateman's production.

Bateman is a talented player, but it's just too hard to trust him with the current setup outside deep leagues.

Parker Washington Week 4 Waiver Wire Pickups

Rostered: 6% of Leagues

Baller Move: Don't Add

The Jacksonville Jaguars really don't have a good passing offense right now. It's very possible that this is due to the presence of passing game coordinator Shane Waldron, whose track record seems to indicate he ruins everything he touches. As an offensive coordinator, he's been abjectly unsuccessful.

Although Washington was targeted 11 times in Week 3, even if Dyami Brown (shoulder) misses time, it's hard to trust him in your starting lineups at any point. He's in his third year in the NFL, and he didn't get targeted at all in Week 1. In his third contest, he only caught four of his passes for 34 yards.

He made a few nice catches, but on film and in the stat sheet, it really looks like Brown (shoulder) has been the better receiver, and he's rostered in just nine percent of fantasy leagues. I think it makes little sense to grab Washington when you can have Brown.

I'm not even predicting Brown to have a breakout season, but if I were forced to pick up one of the two, I'd take the WR that played far more snaps when healthy and seemed to be the team's No. 2 outside receiver opposite the struggling Brian Thomas Jr.

Jalen Coker Week 4 Waiver Wire Pickups

Rostered: 14% of Leagues

Baller Move: Pick Up For IR Spot

Coker (quad), unfortunately, is still dealing with a quadricep injury. He's still on injured reserve and will be eligible to return in Week 5 at the earliest. Reports indicate that he might miss even more time, though. His absence should be, at maximum, six weeks total.

It doesn't seem like he'll be ready in Week 5, though. Depending on the size of your league, this will give you more time to grab him. I absolutely recommend you do, though. He's one of the few WR2s in the league that seems to have clear upside that's not heavily rostered.

There are a few concerns with Coker. Apparently, he didn't have great conditioning in the offseason, and Panthers head coach Dave Canales had to give him a program to follow to improve it. Additionally, he missed three games with a quad strain last season.

But for the low, low price of free, the opportunity cost of a bench spot or IR slot, it's worth grabbing him. He had impressive film and some impressive games last season, and Carolina has zero reliable, good pass-catchers outside of rookie wideout Tetairoa McMillan.
