Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Darnell Washington hauled in four of six targets for 43 yards in a Week 9 victory over the Indianapolis Colts. While Washington's box score output may look modest, his utilization on Sunday was noteworthy. Although he and quarterback Aaron Rodgers were unable to connect for a touchdown, Rodgers looked his way on two consecutive passes inside the five-yard line in the first quarter. Washington later saw another red-zone opportunity, catching a pass and taking it 13 yards before being brought down at the goal line. On the season, Washington now has seven red-zone targets, tied for the 13th-most amongst all tight ends and just one fewer than teammate DK Metcalf, who leads the Steelers with eight. While his role remains too inconsistent to trust in most redraft leagues, Washington is worth a speculative add in dynasty and deeper formats heading into a Week 10 bout with the Los Angeles Chargers.--Jorden Hill

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver DK Metcalf logged just two receptions for six yards on four targets in a 27-20 victory over the Indianapolis Colts. On paper, everything was set up for Metcalf to deliver on Sunday, but he instead turned in his worst performance of the season. He took a backseat to Calvin Austin III, Darnell Washington, and Pat Freiermuth, failing to receive a single opportunity in the second half. If there's any silver lining, it's that Metcalf was targeted by Aaron Rodgers twice inside the five-yard line. Better days are certainly ahead for the seventh-year pro, and Pittsburgh still clearly views him as its WR1 after standing pat at receiver through the NFL trade deadline. That said, expectations should be tempered for Metcalf against a tough Los Angeles Chargers defense in Week 10.--Jorden Hill

The Denver Broncos were among the teams that explored a trade for Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle, according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN. But in the end, the Dolphins' asking price was too "steep" for Denver. Miami also received calls on pass-rusher Bradley Chubb, but they decided to hang onto both players at Tuesday's trade deadline. Linebacker Jaelan Phillips was shipped to the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday in exchange for a third-round draft pick next year. Denver ultimately stood pat at the deadline and will move forward in 2025 with receivers Courtland Sutton, Troy Franklin, Marvin Mims Jr. (concussion), and rookie Pat Bryant as their top wideouts. The 26-year-old Waddle will probably keep a higher fantasy ceiling the rest of the way this year in Miami as quarterback Tua Tagovailoa's top pass-game target with Tyreek Hill (knee) done for the year. Waddle has had at least 80 receiving yards in four of the last five games and two touchdowns during that span.--Keith Hernandez

Arizona Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon announced on Tuesday that quarterback Jacoby Brissett will make a fourth straight start under center for the team's Week 10 divisional matchup against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, per ESPN's Adam Schefter. The Cardinals will stick with Brissett for another game while Murray heals from a mid-foot sprain that he suffered back in Week 5, but they are taking things week-to-week at the QB position. Head coach Jonathan Gannon said after Monday night's win over the Dallas Cowboys that Murray is still the team's starter when healthy, but he went back on that statement a day later. The bottom line is that the 32-year-old Brissett has helped improve the offense in his three starts, going 73-for-111 (65.8% completion percentage) with at least two touchdown passes each game. If he continues to play well, the Cardinals could continue to sit Murray on the bench. Brissett will be a low-end QB2 streamer in Week 10 in fantasy on the road against a tough Seahawks defense.--Keith Hernandez

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers completed 25 of his 35 pass attempts for 203 yards and a touchdown in a Week 9 win over the Indianapolis Colts. Although this marked his fifth consecutive game surpassing 200 passing yards, the veteran's performance was modest for fantasy purposes. This matchup was expected to be high-scoring, but Pittsburgh's defense stepped up after allowing 30-plus points in back-to-back weeks. With the Steelers leading 24-7 early in the fourth quarter, Rodgers didn't need to do much to close things out. He'll provide more fantasy value in tighter contests, though predicting when those will come could be challenging. The 41-year-old remains a high-floor QB2 in superflex leagues ahead of a Week 10 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers.--Jorden Hill

The Minnesota Vikings found their running game behind Aaron Jones Sr. (shoulder) last week in a win against the Detroit Lions, and head coach Kevin O'Connell said the success was something the team sorely needed. "There was an element of play style and physicality that needed to be found, and I thought we did those things," O'Connell said of the victory, in which Minnesota rushed for nearly five yards per carry. The head coach was clearly happy with Jones, who piled up 98 total yards on nine carries and two catches, but departed the game with a sprained AC joint that the team does not believe is serious. The veteran was the more effective option when compared to Jordan Mason, whose struggles with pass protecting may impact the team's thinking going forward. Managers should keep an eye on injury reports this week, but the Vikings may be developing a rest-of-season formula that favors Jones over Mason.--Nick Piotrowicz

Though Minnesota Vikings running back Aaron Jones Sr. (shoulder) left Sunday's win at Detroit, the team does not believe the injury is serious, which could mean a changing role for fellow running back Jordan Mason. The first-year Viking held down the backfield in Jones' absence with a hamstring injury, but Jones was the more effective of the two options against Detroit by gaining 42 more yards on one fewer carry. Vikings coach Kevin O'Connell said the team found "an element of play style and physicality" that it had been lacking, and Jones was the main benefactor. Additionally, Mason probably hasn't helped his cause with a few bad pass-blocking reps that contributed to sacks during the past two weeks. Minnesota may opt to ride the hot hand at running back every week, which can be tricky from a fantasy perspective. But if the Vikings aim to recreate their successful Week 9 game plan, Jones may feature more than Mason in the weeks to come.--Nick Piotrowicz

Health has been part of the problem for the Minnesota Vikings this season, but head coach Kevin O'Connell said left tackle Christian Darrisaw (knee) and right tackle Brian O'Neill (knee) ended up "in a really positive place healthwise" after beating Detroit. The offensive line has been a major issue this season, as the Vikings have played multiple games with as many as four starters missing from the offensive line. Through eight games, the team's 11.9% sack rate is the worst in the league. But with its pair of tackles finally getting healthy, there is some hope Minnesota can cut down on drive-killing negative plays. Improved health from its top tackles could translate to a better passing game, which means a better prognosis for quarterback J.J. McCarthy, receivers Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison, and tight end T.J. Hockenson for fantasy purposes.--Nick Piotrowicz

Quarterback Kyler Murray (foot) and the Arizona Cardinals have consulted with multiple doctors on his mid-foot sprain and have been told that the timetables for recovery have been "anywhere from 4-8 weeks," sources told Adam Schefter of ESPN. There is "an increased chance of a setback until it's properly healed," so Murray now "has more time to heal." Murray has been out since injuring his foot in the Week 5 loss to the Tennessee Titans, giving way to veteran Jacoby Brissett, who has actually been better for the Cardinals' offense in his three starts to this point. Murray may be active for the Week 10 game against the division-rival Seattle Seahawks this Sunday, but if he is, he'll be backing up Brissett. Head coach Jonathan Gannon said after Monday night's win over the Cowboys that Murray will be the team's starter at QB when he's healthy, but it's unclear exactly when that will be. Murray's hazy injury timeline basically gives the Cardinals more time to hold off on giving Murray the starting job back.--Keith Hernandez

The Minnesota Vikings played their most thorough defensive game of the season on Sunday in a victory against the Detroit Lions, but former first-round pick Dallas Turner did not see much involvement in the big win. Despite the Vikings getting their best performance of the season along the line of scrimmage, the second-year player from Alabama was a non-factor with just 14 defensive snaps, including only five in which he rushed the passer. The Vikings saw excellent pass-rushing performances from unlikely sources in tackle Jalen Redmond and linebacker Eric Wilson, but Turner didn't play much of a role in rushing the QB. He has just six tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks for his career and is still firmly behind teammates Jonathan Greenard and Andrew Van Ginkel midway through his second season. For managers in IDP leagues, Turner can be sent to the waiver wire without a second thought.--Nick Piotrowicz

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson returned just two weeks ago, but he could get a big-time upgrade in his opportunity moving forward for the Packers. With the season-ending knee injury to Packers tight end Tucker Kraft, Watson could be the biggest beneficiary of Kraft being out of the lineup. Watson has four targets in each of his two games since returning from an ACL injury in Week 18 last year, but his workload has ramped up from 65% of routes per dropback in Week 8 to 75% in Week 9. With the litany of injuries surrounding the Packers' pass-catchers, somebody other than Romeo Doubs will have to take the initiative and earn more targets in this offense. With Watson now healthy, he seems like the best bet for that job right now for Green Bay. With the Packers hosting the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 10, consider Watson a low-end flex option for fantasy, with the potential for much more.--Kevin Tompkins

Green Bay Packers tight end Luke Musgrave now has a golden opportunity to produce in unfortunate circumstances surrounding the Packers. With Tucker Kraft's awful knee injury, which ended his season, Musgrave becomes the next man up. While we can't expect all of Kraft's previous production to go to Musgrave, he does have some upside. Remember: Musgrave was drafted 36 picks before Kraft in the 2023 NFL Draft, and in that season, Musgrave was the starter for most of his rookie season until a lacerated kidney caused him to miss several games. What Musgrave does have is route-based upside; he should run most tight end routes for the Packers with only John FitzPatrick and former Titan Josh Whyle on the practice squad manning the position behind Musgrave. The most likely outcome in Musgrave's range of outcomes is that he mixes in with the rest of the targets in Green Bay rather than take charge as a preferred target for quarterback Jordan Love. In the Packers' Week 10 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles, Musgrave is just a low-end streamer for fantasy purposes.--Kevin Tompkins

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs had mediocre fantasy production in the first three weeks of the 2025 NFL season. Since Week 4, however, Doubs has been excellent and has cemented his spot as the top wide receiver target for the Packers. In the last five games, Doubs has averaged 8.2 targets, 5.4 receptions, and 64 receiving yards, providing a much-needed floor for the Packers this season. Now, with Tucker Kraft's season-ending knee injury, Doubs will be relied on even more as the unquestioned top target for the Packers. At the very least, Doubs keeps his consistent production going through the rest of the season, but if he adds some more looks without Kraft, then he can add some true fantasy ceiling to that solid floor. With double-digit fantasy points in four of his last five games, Doubs should be a fantasy WR3 in a tough matchup against the Eagles in Week 10.--Kevin Tompkins

The Los Angeles Chargers have acquired offensive lineman Trevor Penning from the New Orleans Saints for a 2027 sixth-round pick, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Penning, the former 19th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, heads to a Chargers team that is in dire need of help at offensive line with both stud tackles Rashawn Slater (patellar) and Joe Alt (ankle) out for the season, while guard Mekhi Becton (knee) has also missed time. Penning has started six games for New Orleans this season and is ranked 94th out of 119 guards this season, per PFF. He's allowed 15 total pressures, tied for the 23rd most at the position despite playing two fewer games than most players. Penning will likely get an immediate opportunity to play in Los Angeles, where a change of scenery and the chance to protect one of the league's best quarterbacks, Justin Herbert, could be beneficial.--Kyle McCarthy

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Darnell Mooney was a non-factor again in Week 9's 24-23 loss to the Patriots, earning just two targets, which resulted in one catch for 15 yards. It was the second straight game with one reception and the third time this season. The 28-year-old played every single offensive snap on Sunday, so his lack of production is all the more glaring. So far this season, the veteran receiver has registered 0.15 targets per route run, putting him in a range with the likes of Matthew Golden and Rashod Bateman. Aside from an 11-target, four-catch performance in Week 3, the 5-foot-11 wideout has tallied a total of eight catches on 16 targets for 129 yards and no scores in the five other contests in which he played. Whether it is his injury history piling up or Michael Penix Jr. simply sticking to shorter routes -- or a combination of both -- Mooney doesn't look startable in fantasy leagues right now. A favorable matchup on paper awaits Mooney in Week 10 against a beatable Colts pass defense, but Tuesday's addition of Sauce Gardner from the Jets should enhance their ability to defend the pass.--Jarod Rupp
