Kemario Taylor a Breakout Candidate at Quarterback
Mississippi State quarterback Kemario Taylor flashed in limited action as a true freshman, completing 43 passes for 629 yards, five touchdowns, and one interception. He was impressive as a runner, tallying 458 yards and eight scores on just 82 attempts. Taylor started just two games in 2025, including against Ole Miss in the Egg Bowl. He threw for 178 yards and rushed for 173 yards and two touchdowns in the defeat, showing a glimpse of his upside heading into his starting career. With a full offseason and preseason as the QB1 in Jeff Lebby's system, he's a prime breakout candidate in the SEC in his true sophomore season. With Mississippi State having the talent disadvantage in most of its SEC contests, the program needs a game-changer at signal-caller, and Taylor could be just that.
