Rocco Becht The "Unifier" of Penn State's Roster
Former Iowa State quarterback Rocco Becht followed his head coach, Matt Campbell, from Ames to Happy Valley this offseason. He is slated to be the starting quarterback for Penn State during his final season of eligibility. According to Campbell, Becth has been an important figure in uniting the group of players who came from Iowa State and those who remained at Penn State following James Franklin's departure. "I think he's already done an incredible job of kind of bringing those selfless work ethics here and being a great unifier from, you know, the young men that stayed in this program from Penn State, and kind of unifying all the young men that came on our football team in January, that Rocco has been a great anchor for all of us," Campbell said. In 42 games over the last four seasons. Becht completed over 60% of his passes for 9,274 yards, 64 touchdowns, and 27 interceptions. As a runner, he added 499 yards and 19 scores. He will look to help Penn State be competitive in Year 1 of the Campbell era.
