Welcome back to the insane, grueling marathon that is the fantasy baseball experience! We spent all offseason crafting our draft plans and deliberating player takes, knowing full well that a small sample in the early going would either confirm our priors or railroad our psyche with slow starts. Please breathe, and be more patient as you look further up in the ranks.
Of course, some data is better than no data, and there are still actionable moves to react to. Modern bullpens are notoriously ambiguous, and now we have some usage ladders illustrated for us. And then there are more discrete phenomena that we can move early on, such as bat speed and new pitches.
As the first rest-of-season update, this will likely resemble preseason ranks near the top 100, and then we can get more aggressive as we near the fringe waiver territory. These rankings will be updated every week throughout the season, so some of these situations are very fluid.
